Kristin's Bike Ride

I've been doing much better this week. Weekends are still tough for me. It's when I'm most tempted to splurge. I've tried to keep myself busy during the times when I get bored, which is usually when I'm tempted to eat. This past weekend, I spent a lot of time outdoors, on my bike, and at the park with the family. I am certainly looking forward to the weather getting nicer, which will make it much easier for me to find things to do. This year I plan on starting a garden in hopes of getting my picky eaters to eat more veggies. Perhaps if they help grow them, they'll be more likely to try them. It's also good exercise and it gets us out in the sunshine.

I'm always looking for new things that will keep me busy and entertained at the same time. That has been the key to my success so far, finding things that are fun. I've been riding my bike to work, rain or shine. It's fun and a great calorie burner! While it's still not quite Spring, I'm still looking for some fun indoor activities and just found out about some boxing lessons I can take. It's a class just for women, which is nice, so I know it will be just my speed. My daughter wants to try Taekwondo, and I'm thinking of trying it with her. There are so many fun things out there to try, and I'm glad that I'm physically able to try them now! However, I would not have gotten to where I'm at if I hadn't ignored my fears and stepped out of my comfort zone, by participating in some activities even when I was still pretty heavy.
