Wow how can you describe something so precious. It's so refreshing to see love through the eyes of others. Your photo's are breathtaking with such serenity in each shot. I wish the two of you the best in life followed with many years of peace and happiness. I can only hope to find the kind of love that is captured in the eyes of you and Portia in each of your photo's. It's hard to find a good man to love you the way you want to be loved, but with a love so precious that it can be felt through the eyes of others is worth waiting for. I know Mr. Right is out there somewhere and God will present him to me at the right time, at the right moment, in the right place. I just have to be patience and hold on.

I have been out of work due to an auto accident since last February and is not sure if or when I'll be returning to work. Since that day I have not missed one of your shows. My daughter asks me, "What are you going to do when it's time to go back to work?" I tell her I will record you, thanks to cable with their DVR, because I love to see you dance, your guest are always interesting and your games have me laughing in tears. When you dance over the table she says, look at her go. Her quotes "that white girls got some soul" . Wheather I'm there with her at the time that your show comes on, I call her and tell her to sit down and enjoy her girl. I make sure that at 4:00 pm each day she has on your show.

You and Portia looked amazing on your wedding day. I think you do so much for people and I hope you feel so good about your self for what you do for people. My husband is a "stay at home mom" and I am a RN on a rehab unit and we watch your show everyday and you are so funny and so generous I just think you are so wonderful. We would love to come and see you if we ever get to go on a vacation. We have been together since we were in high school and we have 2 kids ages 2 and 10 and have never been on a vacation, but if we do I would love to see you. Maybe you could come and do a show in Minnesota (Rochester or Minneapolis) one time that would be awesome.

My grandson, Aydan, 23 months, loves to watch the show with me on the days I babysit him and has even got some of your shoulder moves down in the dancing segment! Hopefully my stepdaughter and I will get to see the show in person in March when we are in the Disneyland area for 5 days. I just hope tickets are available for March 10th.

If these pictures and your convictions don't equate to real love and ultimate change, I don't know what will. I love your show. You made me laugh for the last 3 months as I was dealing with colon cancer. As of Jan. 5 I am cancer free! I had my surgery on Nov.5 and I knew that everything would be alright for me because Barrack had won. I know in my heart that the world will become a kinder gentler place and the economic times that we find ourselves in now,will only highlight the fact that money has nothing to do with success! God has already blessed you with Portia. You are one of His creations and He doesn't make mistakes.
I have had several very difficult times in my life. My dearest friends I have ever had helped me through them. My dearest friends happen to be gay. The reason that they were such great help in my time of need was that they did not judge me they only supported me.

God did create each of us. We all have different traits and He gave them to us. If we could control who we are attracted to, I think we would all walk the path of least resistance and not rock the boat. Gay isn't something you decide . It isn't a Lifestyle you choose to get even with your parents or to stand out in life. If it was I'd be first in line because my husband is like most and I know a woman would be a better spouse I just happen to love him and be attracted to him.

Anyway, I had to post my two cents. To a long and happy life together.

As the Mother of a beautiful bride myself (my only child,) I couldn't help but reminisce about the experience we had in 2005 when we went back to our home state (NC) for an intimate destination wedding. We went to Green River Plantation in Rutherfordton, NC, and both the bride's and groom's family stayed in the pre-civil war farm-house styled mansion. In the living room, you could see hoof imprints of the horses the northern soldiers housed in the mansion when they overtook it during the war.

This wedding was the high point in my life! As a single parent, I will never forget what it meant to see my beautiful daughter walk down the front porch and across the yard of that mansion to meet her groom and be married. I think of the whole experience over and over and how wonderful we all felt. Two families came together in love and harmony, and our families have grown in that love every day since.

I wish you and your families that same happiness and love as you grow together in marriage. Your pictures are beautiful! I can see that the wedding was everything you hoped it would be.

By the way, Green River Plantation would be a great get away for you for a weekend vaca...out in the middle of nowhere, far away from everyone. And when I say nowhere, believe me, I mean nowhere!

My husband and I have raised our children to respect diversity and every now and then they say something to show me that I have raised them right. My favorite is the latest that has come out of my daughter's mouth (15) which is, and I will try and quote 'if people don't want a same sex marriage, tell them to just not have one'. Where I live in Groton, Mass, a small town of 10,00 people, on the day of the VERY first same-sex marriages ever here, Groton Town hall had a big hoopla on the front steps of its beautiful historic town hall. The gorgeous balloons were all over, a banner, food, drinks all for the couples. It truly was amazing and I was very happy to be watching. My spouse and I have had our own "wedding" in 1991, then a Civil Union in 2000, then a marriage in Massachusetts. Vermont is now beginning the conversation about changing Civil Unions to Marriage. You'll look so beautiful. My partner and I have been together for over five years. We live in CA and planned on getting married this year June 13th on our anniversary. Our plans didn't come together, and when it became legal I figured we can take our time they won't take that away. I still have my NO on 8 sign in my room which I had in the window of our home. As you know it did not pass and here we are still in the same position. We our both so busy and have a daughter we can't seem to find the time to make a day for us special. I'm so happy you let us share in your day. I tape your show and watch it when I can. I'd love to be in the audience and dance with you. I love your wedding photo,s I actually got to catch the show today. My wisdom tooth broke off on the first day of my new job, and I had to get to leave work for the dentist to pull it! OUCH!! I saw where i could go register for the 12 days of give away, and found these photos I love the one of you where your foreheads are touching it captures a tender moment, that words cant describe. I have been a fan since the book My point and I do have one!! I used to dress just like you on that cover and had my hair the same way!! Lil Ellen is what my friend called me. Hi Ellen, first I want to say congrats on your happiness. I am not gay and it took me a while to get use to the idea. I can say after watching you over the years and seeing how funny, kind, warm, giving, loving and caring you are who cares it's every ones option to do what they want to do.
Ellen you probable here it a million times but I look forward to seeing your show daily. What I like about your show is that anyone who is a nobody can be on your show. You don't have to be a movie star or a rocket scientist. You do and say things that the normal everyday people can relate to. Ellen you have a gift to make people laugh and if you only know how much I laugh at the silly things that you do and say. Laughter is great and so are you.
