Way to go Ellen! I am very happy for both of you. I have someone special in my life that I love more than I've ever loved before, but I'm married and have children so we can not be together. I can not bring myself to hurt my children. I no longer love my husband and don't want to be with him. I love her and dream daily of all the good times we have when we can be together.

I may be Catholic but I lived in San Francisco for many years and had many close friends who were gay, I came to believe it was a natural thing not to be despised! My father-in-law is in a relationship now for 25 years, and they are not allowed to get married. it is just crazy, i just hope by the time my four children are adults, all these laws will change. She is it all and then more...I hope you and Portia have many happy years and that if dont allow you to stay Married in Calif. Then Move to Canada B.C. to be exact. I did I move from Kentucky to be with the woman who gives me everything and who is my soulmate and best friend. I have only one comment after looking at your wedding photos. Keep the laughter there forever. That's what will keep the relationship fresh and your hearts young.
