I have always loved my children unconditionally so, we agreed not to discuss her choices but, rather I would respect her decisions in life for herself. Thank you for sharing your beautiful wedding pictures with us. It was absolutely one of the most "simply beautiful" weddings I have ever seen. I am sooo very happy for both you & Portia, I have been around for a while with you, back to the days when you came out on T.V. and announced to the world, over the intercom at the airport, that you were gay. My husband and I both laughed until we cried, however, unfortunately, the laughing lasted a short while and the tears lasted a lot longer. After that show we didn't see you for such a long time and the rest is history. I always knew you would come out on top, you are a very special woman who is loving, kind, caring, giving, and most of all you are truthful and proud of who you are. I've been a fan for years and as a lesbian woman I can't tell you how proud I am of you for being forthcoming with your love for Portia and sharing the photos of your wedding with the public.

I am 48 years old and feel very fortunate to have found my soulmate. Kristin and I have been together for 6 years. This year I was diagnosised with multiple sclerosis. The first thing I felt was fear but having a loving, supportive and patience partner has made all the difference. This week I went on the daily injection Rx for MS. It hurts like hell but she's there holding my hand--that is love.

Kristin and I lived in San Francisco in 2004 when Mayor Gavin Newsom annoynced his decision to issue same-sex marriage licenses. While the state of CA "currently" doen't recognized that licenses, I wish we would have gotten married then. Maybe someday we will. But I'm glad you did and I'm glad the public sees the beauty of your love.

Ellen, thank you for sharing your wedding pictures with us. They are absolutely beautiful. My favorites are pictures 21 and 22. In picture 22, it looks like a heart is forming around the two of you. I'm an amateur photographer so I think I notice things and details others don't. I know these pictures have been up for awhile but I recently lost everything in a fire and my husband and I have slowly been working to be everything back. Someone donated to us a simple computer so that I can use at home and that's how I was finally able to see your website again. I'm sorry to hear about proposition 8. California isn't the only state that suffered. Florida banned gay marriage and a few other states passed some other ridiculous laws. As a member of the LGBT community it hurts us to see what's going on and how people can be so callous. Getting married is our right, as it is to be happy. Now that Obama is president, let's hope that some things will change for the better. Wishing you lots of love and luck in life :-)

Actually I have heard Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, Oprah, Martha Stewart, David Letterman all talk about their spouses and partners and their kids. I have seen pics of them on their shows as well.

PS. I have always wondered how a person being unborn has the right to live, but as soon as we leave the uterus we are stripped of that same right. I do have a question thou, in the rich and famous what do you do with your clothes that are no longer in need. Please ask your wife. In a small town you not only have no advantage of product, but people can't afford it. I was in Atlanta, Tx and someone said you grew up there. I lived in Linden, until last year then moved to Clarkston, Wa.

He saved me from myself. Unconditional love and acceptance is a true blessing. This is not just newlywed bliss talking. I lived 16 yrs with my daughters father before he was killed. Though I loved him deeply, our relationship was not healthy and marriage was never a priority for him. I really thought I was forever broken, both in heart and in spirit.
