I live in New York and I work the evening shifts so unfortunately I don't get to watch your show the same day it airs. But, I'm like a robot, I set my alarm clock for 10 am and as it goes off I turn my tv to channel 10.

WOW i musta been in LALA Land for your Birthday an Wedding...I did not know this until just now when i log on to your site...This year has not be good to me or family...i was doin alot of caring giving To my Mom who die of cancer in Oct of this year....But first my Aunt die of cancer also in January...Them July My mom Brother in law Die which was my mom sister hubby that die in Jan...Then in August my neice of 37 die after being in a coma for 3 yrs...She was Pegant an her plcenta busted ..she was already to have the baby when this happen..she had seizer an was acually dead bout 4 minutes...When they got her to the hospital they took the baby out an both of them their hearts started beating again...this left them both in a coma..she was 37 to young...One of My best Friends also die of cancer in aug..then My mother in Oct an my hubby Aunt same some oct..Then my cousin passway with cancer in November This month of Dec 08 can't go fast eounght for me..An i pray for a very good new year in 09...Like others i am shock YOU DO NOT LOOK 50 yrs old...I am 7 yrs older then you with i could look that good...SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY AN ALSO I hope you an Partner The very Best for the rest of your life

They are teenagers now and starting to cope with their weird mum. Hello Ellen. Thank you. You have helped me get through a very tough year. I am 55 and had a mastectomy in January. I went through all of my treatments watching your shows. The chemo and radiation are now finished and I am ready to go back to my job. I love your shows and this month has been wonderful for me to watch your shows and see just how great you are.I love your dancing and dunking of the stars, and other people. Ha ha. Thanks. You have given me strength. All five of my daughters are in New Brunswick and my husband and I are alone here, but your shows always made me feel like I was not alone at all.Each of my daughters came to help me and that was also wonderful, but when they left, it was hard.I live in Edmonton, Alberta and know so many people here that feel like I do. You are an inspiration. All I can say is WOW!!!

Just wanted you to know how inspiring you are. Oct. 17th was MY 60th birthday. Since my husband passed away 6 years ago with cancer, I din't want to be alone and turn 60 on my birthday. Since I am blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life, I decided to throw myself a birthday party and invite 200 of my best friends. Because my birthday is in Oct. and Oct. is Breast Cancer awareness month, I asked for everyone to make a donation to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit instead of birthday presents for me. My husband was a patient at this facility and even though we did not get the results I would have liked, it is a wonderful place. If together these donations could help but just one person, that would be the best birthday present I could ask for. I am still receiving donations but we are close to $5,000 just from one little party. Thanks for your inspiration ! ! !

I actually logged on to your show site out of despiration, as I've never looked at ANY stars sites, or show sites. I am looking for ideas for a charitable event I am helping to coordinate. It's for a neighbor of mine, Cindy Gordon, who was very seriously injured in an auto accident about 6 weeks ago. She is the single mother of 5, 3 of which are still at home. Obviously, she struggles to make ends meet, and because of that, she didn't have health insurance. Unfortunately, just like many other single parents in America these days they just can't afford the premiums and take the chance of never needing insurance. The gamble didn't pay off for Cindy. Cindy suffered a severe brain injury and is faced with a bleak future without receiving proper neurological rehabilitation, which averages about $1,500 A DAY at a facility. Our community is working desperately to raise funds to pay for her rehab, and in doing so are holding a Gala Charitable Event at a lovely local venue in order to raise funds. We are holding a silent auction, and already, this amazing community that I am blessed to live in, has rounded up almost $10k in donations, but, if you do the math, it isn't enough. I was just wondering, since everyone I know just adores you, and rightfully so, could we possibly get maybe a signed copy of your book, or some sort of show memorabilia for our auction? This crazy that I'm even asking you, because the event is on Oct. 30, just around the corner. I really can't believe I just asked you that, this is so out of character for me; but, I guess this isn't about me, is it?! I apologize for rambling, I'm exhasted, and have most likely mispelled most of the words that are more than 4 letters long, and I apologize as well for 'hitting you up.' You must get bothered constantly, I can't imagine your world, but it's a lot of fun to watch. Anyhoo, and yes I meant to say 'hoo,' thanks for making me laugh Ellen, thanks for being the best you you can be, and thanks for having the guts to do what most people NEVER do - DANCE IN PUBLIC WHEN THEY'RE NOT DRUNK!! Dear Ellen,

I wanted to thank you for something you did for me in April of 2007. I was stuck home alone after the birth of my daughter, Lucinda Cook born 4-4-07. Lucinda was born at 28 weeks and had to stay at Children's Hospital in Michigan for 4 months until she came home on August 1st. I wanted to thank you for your show and all the great things that you brought into my home and kept me going while my little one was so far from me, I was able to forget for a short while that she was in the hospital and not by my side. This is not the first time that I have been stuck in bed watching your show, not that it's a bad thing. I was also off in 2005 for hernia surgery and I was not able to get up for at least a week. You are a God send. Thank you Ellen for making me laugh. Lucinda is doing well heathly and a very happy baby, she is delayed in her gross motors skills but will begin physical and occupational theraphy this fall. She is 16 months and only weighs about 13 pounds. I wish I could send a photo.

Love your show, but don't get to see it to often right now. I babysit my 6 year old twin nephews and 4 year old nephew. I usually have to watch cartoons instead of your show, but sometimes I can see part of it when they are playing outside. They will all be starting school soon so I'll be able to watch again!

I saw the August 6, 2008 show (I'm sure it was a repeat) and loved the afghan you were covering up with because you weren't feeling well.

I do crocheting and knitting for charity and would love to have the pattern for that afghan. Any info on where it came from?

I am so happy that you did experience a happy birthday and I am sorry I missed it. I have the night shift at work. I am sure one day soon my birthdays will become happy. But, at this time in life, I have to keep my memories alive. I am always looking for the year to be over once, April pops up! For the rest of my life I will have some of the most wonderful and sad days of any birthdays to come.

I lost a wonderful, happy, down to earth, take charge beautiful daughter in the Army just two days after my birthday in 2004. She enjoyed a lot of what life had to offer. but, hey.. forget about me. When I do get a chance to see you....I am happy you are there.

What can I say... you are one funny gal !!!

I live in australia and your show is on TV at 9 every morning... the problem with that is I start work at 9 !!! So i only get to see your show 2 days a week, on my days off. If i am lucky, i get a late start at work , 10am, so then i get to watch your half of your show... When that is the case i am a brighter person as you can make me laugh within the first 10mins. You are a truly unique and gifted person, i am a qualified hairdresser and can only hope to come to america one day to mabye further my career and have the chance to see your show . If you have and famous friends in need of a hairdresser... tell them to give me a call. my dream is to make it big one day and and it's not what you know... it's who you sleep with !!!!!!

I've designed the perfect engagement ring for you and Portia.

I've been hanging on this idea for 10 years. For the right opportunity. For the right to get married. And voila...it's here.

It's called the Yours truly band. It was designed by me. It's basically a precious gem, ruby, emerald, etc. set between two diamonds. Imagine three rectangular gems set horizontally to look like an equals sign.

It was inspired by the HRC campaign. And i think could be tied in with them promotionally. It celebrates the idea that :

LOVE EQUALS EVERYONE.

Anyway, I'm sharing this idea in hopes that you will help me find a jeweler that will produce this design as my gift to the gay community.

It's a good idea. A gorgeous design. And I know you can help.
