Dear Ellen:
My father in law died this holiday which devastated my family and I was laid off just prior to Christmas. We keep a stiff upper lip but your show gives us a kick in the pants and reminds me that there is fun and laughter and no time for pity parties.
If you're not on, I go to your website. But your show is the best boost. Dennis Quaid and you were hysterical and OMG, the games you have the audience participate in are a hoot! Keep them coming!
Best wishes to you and your spouse for the New Year!
dj
I have a funny animal story to share with you. I recently spent two months at my daughter's home in New York. She delivered twin girls two months prematurely and needed my help (around the clock I might add). Because I was going to be gone so long I brought my cat with me. My daughter, Tara, has three cats of her own. All cat lovers know that cats don't take to other cats quickly. I knew they'd be ok, because they spent a year together after Huricane Katrina. What I didn't know is that one of Tara's cats would be protective of the babies. I have seen dogs do this but not cats. Because of health issues the babies had to be kept in bouncy seats in the living room. Anytime my cat tried to enter the living room near one of the babies, Tara's cat would run her off. She could roam anywhere else in the house, just not in the living room near the babies. Tara's cat stood guard around the babies. Isn't that odd?

Thank you and wishing you many, many years of "Ellen" to come!

Hi, I am commenting on Wilma's post about the pop ups. I just wanted to help her out since I know how annoying pop ups are. Anyway this is to you Wilma,
"This web site does not have pop-ups. Unfortunatly you have somehow downloaded a type of virus. It's not a virus that harms your computer but some sites that you visit attach this to your computer which in turn causes you to recieve pop ups all the time no matter what you are doing on your computer. If you go through your add/remove programs that is located in your control pannel and look for something titled adware and uninstall it that should solve your problem of having these disruptive ads pop up all of the time.
I hope this helps you with your problem but I assure you that it is not Ellen's site that is causing these pop ups on your computer. I come on this web page every single day and I have NEVER had a pop up appear.
Good luck to you."
Also, to all the Ellen fans out there, keep watching her show so it never goes off air. I doubt it ever would since she is the number 1 talk show out there. I hope Ellen lives forever or at least as long as I do so I can watch her shows forever. I don't know what I would do if she no longer taped her shows.
I love you Ellen, and I know you hear this all the time but I am your #1 fan....I just can't get enough of you.
Love always,
Crystal from Mississauga Ontario, Canada

Dear Ellen: I truly am a big fan - and I love you bunches !!! But - how do I approach the problem of alcohol? I am not a tea-totaler, I love my appletinis... But the problem with today's teens and young people that don't know how to control it makes me wonder about your frequent references to your consumption. Just a thought and I know you will consider this subject carefully. thank you and keep up the wonderful works that you do.

I LOVE your show! You are one of the few celebrities we still have to admire and look up to. Cute pics - thanks for all you do for animals! Would you ever consider doing a show on vegetarianism/veganism?
I love this pics of unlikely pairs. Anymore it just goes to show me that animals are more human then humans. We can learn alot from animals that live by their instincts, rather then their intellect. Perhaps we as people should try and do the same. Thanks Ellen for being you and being a wonderful human being.

There are no pop ups when you click stuff. Quit downloading porn Wilma and you won't have that problem.
Posted by Sara | April 7, 2008 12:54 PM
I love this web site, but did you know you have pop ups every time we click on anything on it? There should be some kind of controll of the adds, no one wants to stop in the middel of a photo gallery or whatever, and read the adds. Still reading, watching, and enjoying, Thanks, Wilma from Ventura, CA.
