Here in Northern California we watch you at 8 am every morning! I found that to be the perfect time,because I would walk 45 minutes on the treadmill and you made it SO easy for me. Well, they now have cancelled the 8am time slot and you are now on at 1pm which has TOTALLY messed my whole day up. How can we fix this? Dear Ellen,
I will be honest, I didn't watch your show but I heard your plea about people being humane. I agree. I grew up with the idea that we are all people first, and then there was your sexuality and maybe your nationality. I believe you were strong and confident in what you said. We as a population need to model for our younger generation that hate is not a resort, it is the last retreat. We as the educated people need to model empathy towards our children when they are learning about themselves and others. We need to answer their questions willingly and without judgement. In the end (as i believe we should emphasize) we are all people.
But good for you for standing up for what needed to be said, and please keep saying it, there is a generation that needs to hear it.

I live in India and your show just started being aired last year out here. I think you do a really great job of it. The only horrible thing is we don't get the latest episodes so I ended up watching December's episodes in february..which was good in one way because I got to celebrate christmas all over again. lol.

I missed your show today and heard that you spoke of Larry King and his death.
I worked for the school where Larry was killed and it surly has saddened this whole community. I was among over 800 people who attended his funeral last Friday.
We must do something more about this hateful event.

though i would just let you know how much i love your show. living in england it is really difficult to see your show. thanks god the internet is here to help me out.
i love everything you are doing , your moves, your interviews but i have to say the video you made on larry king on the 28th was very emotional.
its really hard to think that being gay can put you at risk of being killed. i have experienced nasty comments even in the street by random people and it just make me think that this world needs to be more understanding....
its also so hard to think that a 15 year-old can killed someone for being gay.
i totally agree that people should be careful of what they say or what is being said around them.
I cant stop thinking that if straight people were killed for being straight then something would have been done at once.
i sincerely hope that something will be done to encourage people to be careful of what is being said around tham.

I am a bad loser so I am going to complain both the road trip and the Acadia give aways went to people who had sent you stories about what they would do if they won or how they need to win. Okay stories but especially the road trip they had no real milestones to celebrate. I wrote facts what we were celebrating and if I cried about what I drive every day you would throw up. Those four girls were all gigglie and appreciative but not like my girls and I would have been. I thought for sure all the important things we are celebrating were what you wanted for this thing especially the 50 year mark for Ann. I didn't know I would have to send an email and give you a long story about how we would have worn your underwear to EJ's party. Oh well I never win anything anyway why start now. I probably couldn't afford the taxes on the SUV's. Love you and your show and just so you know you really missed out by not getting to dance with me.

I had something come up in my life that obviously as hurt my feelings deeply. I’m married and I have a stepson, which I love very much. On Wednesday he got in trouble for lying about doing is homework. I made him go to in his room for a little while and then talked about how school was important and how lying was wrong. Well, that following Monday, I asked him if he had homework and he said I finished it. So, I walked away and continued to do things around the house. The next morning I signed my little girl’s paper and thought I should check my son’s work. When I did he looked at me with those eyes, and I seen that look on his face. I knew he didn’t do it. I said didn’t I talk to you about how important school is and about lying? I asked my husband to talk to his son after school.

Later that day, Mike instant messaged me at work and said I talked to him and he got a spanking. Well, when I got home Mike had to run to the store and I went in to Tyler’s room and was talking to him. He told me his dad told him to lie to me about getting a spanking. So, I asked Mike when he got back, so Tyler got a spanking? Just to see if Mike would tell Tyler to lie, and to all people, me, and for something that stupid to lie, on a spanking? What? Mike said Yes, I did spank him. I said why did Tyler say he didn’t and that dad said to tell me that he did? Is Tyler lying now? We just talked about lying and that’s why he is in his room now and now you are lying to my face? About a spanking?

First I have to say I hate to spank my kids anyway and I am glad that he didn’t get a spanking, but that’s not the problem. The problem is I’ve been taking care of Tyler for about 3 years now and we have custody of him and I can’t believe Mike would do that. We, as parents are suppose to teach our kids right from wrong. I feel so mad and hurt!!!!
Sorry, just had to get that out there.
