Ellen, I attended the show on Thursday March 13th and absolutely loved it! You are truly "an American Idol" and I want to thank you for your humor, sense of self and for just being the person you are. Your staff also should be commended on the professional way they handled the people..........from just giving directions to moving us all into the theatre. I'm visiting California from Pittsburgh and this was by far the most memorable vacation ever........thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dear Ellen,
Everyday day of the week kind of sucks mainly because when your show is on, I have to work. The only day I can watch you is Fridays because I work from 1130am til 8pm so my lunch time at 4.30pm kind of match the beggining of your show but that day sucks too because with all the commercials I cannot even finish it (the show) not the food. These days I look forward my Fridays not cause it's Friday but because I can see your show at lunch. I am not a "TIVO" person to record shows, trust me even if I got one I would not know how to set it up!
You are absolutely fantastic!! I love you, your faces, you are funny, original and very special but most of all GENUINE which is a very rear thing to find out there. You certainly leave others wanting more of you when you make us laugh! well and imagine when we see you cry! that is another story!!
I never thought I was EVER going to go into some website to write for a celebrity EVER!!sounds silly but you are "more especial'to so many that out there than you even know.
Thanks, Eva

Hi Ellen,

I Love your show and you have kept me sane the 3 years I have been living in China. You make me smile when I am having a tough day. I really enjoyed the show that you had a little girl from China sing on your show. She brought tears to my eyes. I taped the end of the show where she sang the song by Whitney Houston "I Will Always Love You" I wanted to share this with my husband when he came home from work. He was blown away by this little girl. I wish that I would of taped the whole show. How can we get a copy of the show? What is the little girls name? Does she still live in China? Please Please Please we would love to know this information. We will be living in China until July and then we get to move back to the WONDERFUL USA!!!!!

Thank you Very much and keep up the great work!!! You are an amazing person for all that you do for people in need and for coming to work even when you are not feeling well.

Love ya bunches!!!!

Ellen, I love your show. I don't laugh at much but I love your humour. Can you post those pictures of your pets and their names? I really enjoyed that piece. My daughter and I recently got a dog who was being re-homed and she is such a delight to us. I am a single mom in a wheelchair and I have an 8 year old, and we both love your show. Love to you and Portia. May you grow old together!

Dear Ellen,

How can your head possibly fit through any doorway? I just read many of these email posts and was astonished at how perfect you appear to be. And, people, let's stop sending in the creepy emails, okay? Well I, for one, refuse to contribute to the ever-increasing height of your pedestal. It cannot be healthy for your self-image to constantly be told how "wonderful" you are, what "kind eyes" you have, and that I "love, love, love you", blah, blah, blah. Of course your funny. You're a comedian for pete's sake! I can only hope, for your sanity, that you don't read all that tripe people write to you each day (except mine, of course). There. Consider this tough love. Just between you and me, your show is a lot of fun to watch. You have a heart the size of the Grinch (after he became good). And, you and Billy Crystal were the best hosts ever at the Oscars. Hope to see you there again someday.

Fondly,
Kathy

Hi Ellen:
Really love your show and all the engery you put into it. Speaking of engery, I could have used some of yours on Wednesday 2/5/08. My daughter and I left from Valparasio, IN at 12Noon to pick up my granddaughter who was born blind with severe optic nreve hyoplasia from the School for the blind down in Indianapolis, IN. That day was horrible weather wise, with rain, sleet, snow and blustery gusty winds. When we finally arrived in one piece, we entered the school and dorm. Well, my granddaughter, Alyssa took me to her room. Had I known, that it was so tricky to get there I probably would not have followed her. I never went up and down stairs and long hallways so much in my life. I never panted so much and kept telling her that I only had 2-3 stairs to catch up with her. I had had a total knee replacement 3 years ago and also have heart problems which hinder my speed to get around. I used to be quick but not any more. Plus I'm a alot older than her. She is just amazing to watch her manuver all around the building with her cane and not get lost. Because I was lost and thank the Dear Lord that she was my eyes to find my way back. Believe me, did I get a work out and it sure alerted me that I am out of shape. My poor knees and legs were just like noodles/rubber bands. It took me a week to recover. What gets me, is she does this every day and carries heavy backbags on her back and books etc in her hands plus her cane. She is very independent and wants to do it all on her own. She is 18 years old and wants to continue schooling by completing college. What a gifted challenge for someone blind. I love her very dearly and she is very special to me. I have so much more respect for others in their blindness and other handicaps that others my endure.
Keep making people smile and laugh. You make their day and a difference in their life. even mine. Thanks Ellen.
P.S. She always wanted to be a contestant when she turned 18 to be on the Bob Barker's Price is Right and darn if he didn't retire just before her 18th (Oct 26th 2007) She listened to the show since she was a very little baby/child. Too bad her dream didn't come true. Till this day when she is off school she still listen to Price is Right with Drew Carey. Just not the same though.

Hi Ellen,
You crack me up! I don't watch much t.v. (only sports) but I love your show. My eight year old twins jump off the bus at 3:00 p.m. and run in the house to see your show. I've been out of work for a month and have come to enjoy watching you everyday (don't know what I'll do when I go back to work). My son asked me if we could come and see your show before I go back to work. Would love to see it! Thanks for making me laugh - you do a lot of good for a lot of people.

Ellen & Crew,
You are hilarious! When are you coming to Canada?! My home city in New Brunswick is a bit small compared to Los Angeles. There are so many myths of Canadians from residents of the US everyone thinks we live in Toronto and all it does is snow! Prove them wrong, we have a great Country!! My best friend turns 50 in 2008, what a great present for her, a road trip to see Ellen in Canada!! PLEASE?!
Keep doing what you do every day! Tanya :)

Thanks for making my days off so great. Your show is a highlight of my day - I laugh so much! When my husband has a day off, he looks forward to watching you, too. He didn't understand what a truly wonderful person you were until he watched your show on one occasion, now he's a fan. He's such a manly man, it's so amazing that he almost is giddy right before your show airs!

My husband and I would love to take a road trip with our friends to see you from Iowa sometime. We have such a fun group of friends, all of us in our mid 30's to mid 40's. We all have kids, and get together often. We don't have a lot of opportunities to get away without our kids. We are are from a small community in Iowa, and when we get together, we have so many laughs! Maybe you could send us road trippin' to your show, and we could show you how we have fun.

P.S. have you ever heard of the card game SPOONS? We play for blood, and it is such a jolly good time, mate!

-OR- you could follow us all around at the Iowa State Fair, now THAT would give you something to laugh about :)

Dear Ellen,

You are such a delight to invite into my home. You have a kind, giving, loving and compassionate heart. Your humor hits the funny bone in all the right places and none of it comes across as "X-rated". Your style of comedy is the kind that lasts a lifetime. In fact, your innocent, sweet sense of humor and ability to laugh at yourself reminds me of Red Skelton. Thank you for all that you share with the world - you are appreciated! Love you bunches, Brenda S.
