Poor Ellen must've been going through a "Blossom" faze. I'm sure after this photo was taken she tap danced on top of a grand piano. Eat your heart out Mayim Bialik!

I was wondering if you could post the picture of the four or five girls with the really big permed hair.
Posted by Leslie | November 26, 2008 1:45 PM
Aww, I think Ellen looks sweet :) I mean, it's kinda cheesy, but she's soooo adorable :) Love ya, Ellen!

You look so girly girl! Very Debbie Gibson! Love those 80s fashions!
Posted by Pearl Girl | October 17, 2008 6:29 AM
Ellen,
Even with your so called "bad" pictures, you still look cute and your eyes still sparkle!
I had a picture from the ninth grade that was horrible! I fell asleep under a sunlamp and had to force a smile because I was in PAIN!!! My hair is naturally curly and was all over the place..and did I mention the wireframed glasses that were shaped like a stop sign?! They were crooked on my very red and blistered nose!!
I thought I had burned the evidence and destroyed every picture. Imagine my surprise when I was flipping through my sisters photo album and discovered....THE PICTURE!!! She used it to blackmail me for years...the b****!!

I have a photo of myself with my two sons, when they were still just little guys, and we're in the goofy brandy glass with the rose. Part of what I like is how tacky that snifter is, but we wanted it anyway. Nearly 20 years later I'm glad I went ahead and got the thing, because we were having such a good day and it's really, truly a good picture of us together. We got others from the same sitting (it was a traveling photographer who set up at the local Smitty's), but the brandy snifter was my favorite. Thanks for the memories!

WOW I remember when you had longer hair but not like this.
Posted by Tawana | September 11, 2008 12:27 PM
Very Tiffany, Deborah Gibson. Ah, l love the 80s style.
Posted by Kim | September 8, 2008 3:13 PM
Ellen, you look younger each year! This picture does not make you justice at all! You look older in this picture. And, by the way, congratulations on your wedding. The pictures are very touching and beautiful. Best wishes!

Gotta love the 80s! Those hats and carpet bagger vests! LOL Oh wait, those are overalls! You were cutting edge, you trend setter! Bet they were capri length!

Posted by Jackie | July 9, 2008 7:36 AM
that IS a cute photo, though...it kinda makes ya either look like Debbie Gibson ("shake your love!") and a teensy bit like Victoria Jackson (compliment of course, cuz I like her)
Posted by Stephanie | June 21, 2008 7:41 PM
Ellen...you are so pretty in this picture. I am not saying you look like a troll now. I just don't know why this picture is filed under "Bad pictures you paid for" because this is definetly not a bad picture. You are so photogenic. Every picture I own...I have paid for...and it is bad.
Posted by Shawna | June 17, 2008 11:08 AM
Hey! I like this photo of you, Ellen. I was just wondering about the flailed arm pose, though...guess I can see why you don't like it.
I love the hair and the hat...ok, call me retro, but it's a fun blast from the past!
Please post more
Posted by Jewel | May 20, 2008 3:27 AM
Debbie Gibson... that's the only thing that comes to mind.
Posted by Gigi | April 22, 2008 10:13 AM
Ellen! I am your long lost twin sister in Minneapolis! I have just about the same photo of myself from years ago in practically the same hat! If I send it to you to prove we are long lost sisters will you send me a paid ticket to come on your show and we can do an improvization about meeting after all these years and see how it goes? You like to try new things right?
We could do a family reunion show and I could be several of your relatives and come out one at a time to surprise you and reunite!
Don't be a stranger Ellen!

At least you are smiling, but I was wondering if you were actually in pain? It looks like you may have gotten a sore neck while posing.
Posted by Kathy McEwan | March 26, 2008 9:47 AM
At first I thought you were yawning, because people move their hands above their head in that same motion when they yawn. However, your facial expressions show that you are smiling and not yawning...or maybe you were yawning and smiling at the same time, which would be really difficult to do.
...and you know what? Your photo's not bad. It's not even a tranny hot mess.
It's
FIERCE.

My 30th birthday party. My friends bought a blow-up doll and my friend Meridith was attacking me with it. I had been trying to get her to attack me instead. No such luck.
Posted by Andrea Evans | January 19, 2008 6:29 AM
I love it, Ellen. That must have been the look on your face when you saw Portia for the very first time. I just love you, nut...
Posted by Mark | January 16, 2008 7:43 AM
You look good!! I love the style! love the long hair it looks good on you.
Posted by CRYSTAL | January 15, 2008 8:56 AM
The grandma picture is absolutely hilarious, I laughed so much when I saw that on your show. and the baby with her parents in the glass with the rose. Has to be a close second. Thanks for sharing.

OK, I had a second thought.
You were trying out for a "Doris Day Look-A-Like Contest" and fell off the high-heel shoes.
Either way -
I love you Ellen.
Posted by My First Thought | January 11, 2008 7:41 PM
(I never saw a pic. of you with long hair) It's as if you were forced into this pose by someone on some sort of converstion committee.
Posted by My First Thought | January 11, 2008 7:31 PM
That's the best picture I've EVER seen of a person who slipped and fell while... posing? And she even kept her hat on!
Posted by Misty Leigh and Rebekah | January 11, 2008 6:55 PM
I almost peed my pants behind my desk at work laughing at the Grandma leaning back or sleeping picture. That is one of the funniest pictures I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing! You made my work day.
Posted by Still laughing | January 11, 2008 2:29 PM
When I first saw this picture I thought it was a fake. I thought you had pasted your face on a Debbie Gibson picture. In fact I bet you were listening to Shake your Love for that picture.
Posted by Heather Rickner | January 11, 2008 11:03 AM
Ellen, you look gorgeous. If that's your bad photo, I can only imagine the photos you think are good lol. Course you are a super model, #4.
Posted by Heather | January 10, 2008 4:26 PM
I actually think Ellen looks adorable here! Not a bad picture at all.
