Dear Ellen,
I'm not sure how I got to you web site but I did! Amazingly I'm
computer illiterate. I saw you with Richard Simmons also and I
think he's a little different person who just does'nt care what he
wears, which is great. When I'm at home I like to wear my
pajamas because I feel more comfortable. If I came to your show, I probably would change my clothes beforehand. I'm not
expecting too not be invited, but if I was can I come in my flannel pjs It's cold here? So I'm not ouside as much as I would like but alot of it is because I had a grade 4 Canceruos brain tumor the size of a grapefruit. The nuero surgeans Drs. call me a
miracle woman, Because they didn't expect I would ever thought I would make it out alive. So I was so grateful for all the prayers my friends and family sent on my behalf to get me through!!!!!
My daughter who is my youngest just suggested that we have pajama party on your show to support brain cancer surivors. haha What do you think? I'm going to go I love your show and of
course I love you for what you do to make people feel good while many of us suffer in our own way. love to you, Carol Curle

Hi Ellen,I had to begin a new job and in doing so I missed so many of your shows, and I so enjoy your shows, you have so many uplifting messages, and positives for our country to view, laughter ,I have always believed is the medicine for all things of this life. Keep on Keeping on Ellen, I wonder too ,have you talked to Gladys lately, and how is she doing? I so enjoyed her phone calls too you,and yours to her. Also,I miss seeing your mother on the show. She had added so much to your show as well. I did get to see the episode where you were going to shave her head in losing a bet,how cute it was. I am working a seasonal job,so I will enjoy your show for a few months but hard at it again in August 2008..I suggested we get a tv in the office so we could watch you,and of course in doing data entry it would slow down the pace, and we certainly do not need that. We work 10-12 hour days about 6 days a week, mostly 5 days though. Ellen you take care, and I hope to enjoy your shows for a few more months ,so Thank You so much for what you do for others, and I do hope you get something in return not financially, but in spirit. God Bless You Ellen..

Richard Simmons is a wonderful, wonderful guy. Sorry I missed him on the show this time. He was 'way out front about obesity and health, and has never taken credit for the widespread "mania" about it now. In the past, I've thought about applying to work with clients on his cruises ... of course, his staff would have to be as energetic as he. Does he still do this? I used to live on the West Coast and heard about Richard more frequently then. (I still consider myself a Californian, please get me back!) We really need him to talk (maybe have another guest of his chosing appear with him) as well as perform. I'd like to know what the main thrust of his career is about now.

Ellen,
Hi, again. I already commented on Mr. Simmons' picture, but I just can't seem to stop giggling about him. Not so much at him, because he's a good person, it's just those SHORTS!!! Since he always wears the red/white striped Dolphin shorts I started wondering...does he have just one pair he wears over and over and over again, or does he have a walk in closet full of row after row of the exact same pair of red/white shorts hanging neatly. I imagine 1,000's of pairs of these shorts hanging in his wardrobe, and organized by color coding, right? Because how else would they be arranged?! lol Then, w/further contemplation, just where does Richard buy these shorts seeing as they aren't sold anymore as far as I know. Does he have a factory somewhere that mass-produces custom-made short shorts just for him? Or is he quite the seamstress and sews his own when he's got down time from teaching fitness classes?
Honestly, though, what's his game plan? Anyone have any light to shed on the matter...like, does he think we won't recognize him if he fails to wear his 30 yr old uniform? In addition, is that why he maintains the exact same 'fro he's sported for just as long, or longer? If this is the case, someone needs to inform him he could never be mistaken for someone other than the Richard Simmons...even if he dressed up like an eskimo:)
Hee Hee Just funnin'. I do have a life but I wanted to "have something to say about that," like Ellen gets to daily. Joy to the World! J.Lloyd

Okay, I love Richard! Every time he comes on the show he makes me smile but this time he made me cry. I laughed so hard when he shimmied down the curtain, thinking it was a wall. And then you keep replaying it everyday and I laugh harder. It's so bad now that I think about it at different times during the day and just giggle out loud. I was at the grocery store today and just thought of him and teared up. He is such a doll, he makes people feel good whether he's trying to or not. I loved when he got up and laughed and said,"ooh, I thought that was a wall!" I love him, thank you for having him on the show from time to time, he makes my day!
And of course, my family and I love you too Ellen, that's why we watch you everyday. Thanks for bringing so much joy to our day, Happy Holidays!

HI Ellen,
I finally signed up for your 12 days of Christmas, Yes I was nuts!
I am so sad to see I missed Richard on your show. I was at a doctor's appt. and I love Richard and you so very much. I hope I can get to see it on a rerun. Richard has always had a piece of my heart, and I told him so when I emailed him recently. He had been on the Letterman show and he was treated with no dignity at all. I wrote Letterman and never recieved a response. I will never watch his show again. Richard emailed me back because he is a gentleman.
He has a good heart and treats everyone with respect. Bring him on more often! Love You Ellen, Judy

Ellen Richard just makes you smile. I have photo years ago when he came to Cincinnati with my daughter who was four then and now 30. He is a very special person.

Ellen, Thank you so much for the laughter you bring to me. It's rare for me to laugh anymore since losing my grandson, but you seem to bring it out. Richard has always been someone special to me. His genuine love for people, especially the overweight, makes him my hero. I got to meet him briefly several years ago and could see the sincerity in his eyes. Bless you Ellen, for God has blessed us all with you being in our lives.
Sincerely

Ellen,
I can't believe that Richard Simmons fell into the curtain after the show. When you showed that the next day I laughed so hard I started to cry. It's times like that when I wish I had a TIVO!

Dear Ellen,
My daughter and I recorded the episode with your line of Holiday sweaters. We laughed so hard at Richard Simmons' backstage dancing and then falling that we were crying. And then he ran off with people chasing after him! It was so funny we kept watching it over and then in slow motion! I know, you're probably thinking "Get a life"! But we needed that laugh so much.
Thank you Ellen for all the great things you do for people. And for all the laughter you bring to our lives. We love you!
