Hi Ellen!! I absolutely LOVE your show. My boyfriend gets mad at me every morning at 10am when I change whatever he's watching, to your show! He gave up on the fight when he found out we have 3 remote controls for our TV. And no matter how hard he tried, I would always change the channel back to your show. Anyway, I know this chili cook off is old news, but I was wondering if you were going to have a chili cook off for your fans? My recipe is to die for! Everyone that has ever tasted my chili, craves it all the time. It's my own recipe, and I have won a chili cook off in the past with it. It's a chili like you've never tasted before...and that's everyone's reply after the first time they've tasted it. It's constantly requested by all MY fans, lol. Please let me know if you decide to make this a contest for your viewers. I would LOVE to be invited to your show and prove I make the best chili in the country!! I'm even willing to freeze a portion of it, and send it to you personally! I guarantee, once you try it...you'll just HAVE to have more! Have a great holiday season!!

Hey Ellen!! All I have to say is that you should have another chili cook-off for your viewers. My dad makes the BEST chili you will ever taste. Its a very simple, but VERY secret recipe. I am 23 years old, and wanting to become a chef, that is THE ONLY reason he just recently gave met he recipe. Even still, I have to swear on my life I wouldn't say anything. All I'm sayin is that you should definately hold another chili-cook off, and invite my dad! Please consider it! THANKS!

Hi Ellen! Your show is my favorite talk show EVER! I always look forward to noon-time because that's what time your show comes on. I just wanted to tell you that my toddler's Birthday is the same day as yours, January 26th! He will be 3 yrs old and he has such a potty mouth! When he trips or drops something the cuss words start flying! I don't know whether to laugh or reprimand him. It is the funniest thing! I do reprimand him and have to stifle my laugh. He loves your show and loves to watch you dance. He knows that Ellen time is Momma time! We love ya, wish we could be there to celebrate, but I am just in remission from Cancer (Thank God) and money is super tight since my husband must carry the whole financial load. Happy Birthday and send our love to Portia and Momma!

Hi Ellen,
If you do a show with teachers, I would like to nominate my daughter Susan Cordell. She had a BA when she went thru a divorce, so she went back to school to earn her teaching credential with two very small children. She had no financial support from her dead beat husband. He did a vanishing act. She also completed her Masters while teaching and raising her daughters. It took her a lot of years to finish her masters, but she was determined to complete it. i am so very proud of her. She has struggled all these years to maintain her daughters lives without their father. She had always made sure that they had their won bedrooms and the love of God.

Listening to you everyday from my hospital bed in the nursing home after my accident four years ago got me though to today. I lived through that accident and want to thank you for not getting depressed. I wouldn't go to therapy until your show was over. I never miss a day. If I am not home I tape you. I hope someday to go to California to see you in person. I am 69 years old now and don't travel much because of my accident. (I broke my neck and had to have my left foot fused so I don't get aound much but still love to travel.)
Happy Birthday. I loved being 50 and you will too.

My "birthday wish" for you, Ellen, is that when you wake up on January 26th (from that moment and throughout the entire day) you feel as warm and fuzzy as you have made millions of people feel every day for years; some watching your show, some reading your books, some remembering the good 'ol days of your comedy gigs, and some who have been there from the beginning, your closest family and friends. If the "Most Genuine Person in the World" award is ever created, there is no doubt that the award will go to the one and only ELLEN DEGENERES! Thanks for all you do! And hope you have a happy five-o!!!

Hi Ellen,
My first time posting to a show. I just had to let you know that I love your show! You always manage to make me laugh. Thank you for bringing laughter into the lives of your fans. Happy 50th! You look great. I turned 50 this past September so I can relate. Enjoy your celebration in the company of your fans and loved ones. I hope I will be one of the lucky ones in the audience that day, but even if I'm not, I'll be watching and celebrating along with you. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Hello Ellen,
Just want to say thanks so much for having such a great show. I'm temporarily (I hope) unemployed and have had the opportunity over the past few weeks to enjoy your show each afternoon. It's refreshing to see you and your audience have such good clean fun. Your fabulous humor can't be related to many current comedians these days, but certainly does tie in to the classics and ever-lasting humor like that of Carol Burnette and Lucille Ball. I wish you continued success. Keep up the good work! Thanks for being you.

Hi Ellen. First, I think your show is fantastic and I record it everyday. Actually, my cable went out recently and I was yelling at the poor cable man because it was smack in the middle of the time your show was on! Anyway, I'm not sure where to post this question, so I'll just write it here. I watched your REALLY BIG SHOW in November and I was wondering where you stayed while you were in Las Vegas and did you like your accomodations? My fiance, Brian, and I are getting married in April and we are trying to plan a trip to Vegas, but we don't know anyone that has been there. We don't even know where to start! Since you were there pretty recently, I was wondering if you could give us some tips or advice on where to stay and what to do (besides gamble and drink, of course!)
Thanks a lot! Hope to hear from you soon.

Ellen:
I turned 50 in April. It wasn't nearly as much of a shock as becoming a Grandmother a little over 3 years ago. I went for the birth, spent a week, and came back with a Harley - I guess to prove I was still "young-at-heart". What a sight - having never even driven a bike before. I took a class, and for my first solo ride, promptly forgot to put the kickstand down when getting off. It took me over, hard - cracking ribs, puncturing a lung... A real "Lucy" moment. I still have the bike - can't quite give up the idea, but haven't ridden in a couple of years.

Hey Ellen,
I turned 50 this year..... Not bad you might need a little coaching. I would love to help you celebrate but most important you will need to know exactly what is expected of you when you turn 50!! Just kidding I think 50 is better that I ever thought. I think people like yourself and me of course have and will change how people think what 50 is all about... Enjoy and keep giving joy to people everywhere.

Ellen,
Happy 50th Birthday!!!!! I turn 50 December 18th and would love to celebrate your 50th with you as well. We would have a blast cuz I am SOOOO much fun, just ask my husband. I don't think of it as the big "50" because it's just 2 numbers, it's how you feel inside that counts the most and I don't feel 50 yet. I've always been a big fan of yours especially when you were doing the stand-up gigs. I'm so glad you have your own show now so we can see you everyday.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Birthday too!!!!! (if I don't get to wish it in person :-)

Hi Ellen,
I love your show. We live out in the country and if I am in town running errands, I rush back home to see your show.
I appreciate your love for the little people and the fact that you have not crossed the writer's picket lines. I love the way you make ordinary people feel special and highlighting the good deeds of people across the nation.
I also love your love for animals. We have two dogs and two cats in our house and sometimes we think one of the dogs and one of the cats has OCD. They can be hilarious at times.
I have a picture of a hawk riding on the back of my dachsund into my house. I would like to attach it to this email but I'm not sure how to do that. Can you have your staff (or yourself) call and tell me how to do that? Thanks for the laughs!

Hey Ellen!
Plain and simple, your show ROCKS! I work til 4, home about 4:20ish so I catch about 40 min of the show, sometimes I peek at it at work, but don't tell anyone...LOL. I am so glad you have this show and you are sooo generous and giving plus you can really dance! I cannot but wouldn't mind learning! I wanted to let you know that I have developed a very strong interest in helping New Orleans and travelled there in May of this year, then to Biloxi, MS a week ago with Habitat for Humanity. The experience is emotional and life altering and I would highly recommend more people to give it a try, please..I cannot tell you enough just how much help is needed in NO and MS as well. Keep up the great shows, I reallly enjoy watching you and hearing the many stories you bring to light. Thank you!

Ellen you have a great show for someone who has Bi-Polar disorder, like me! I find myself laughing hysterically at your monologues, and then the next thing I know I am in complete tears before the end of the hour because you are interviewing someone with such a heart felt story. My therapist loves it - I have a daily opportunity to emote on a full range. My husband also finds there is less drama in the house when I watch your show on a regular basis. Thank you for having such a great show! Happy 50th - I hope this year is a blessed one for you. You deserve it :-)
