You have to hand it to Santa. . . after a few of these you'd have to imagine his ears are ringing. Way to hang in there Santa! :)

end entry

These pictures are too cute! I had to sit with my 10 1/2 month old son and he was still scared, you can see it in his face in the pic! love your show ellen! keep it up

end entry

These kids look absolutely horrified! All they see is some fat, white haired, bearded guy wearing a big red suit and not looking very jolly. Judging by those pictures, it has to be a scary 5 minutes of utter terror. Say cheese!

end entry

I want to cry with them and some of those Santa's would scare me too with their hats down so far. What a horrible experience for some of them.

end entry

OMG!!!!!! I really love # 24.....I have to admit I have 2 girls (now 18 & 13) and they were total HAMS with Santa....LMAO thanks Ellen for all the fun. I love your website

end entry

These made me laugh. I love my kids "bad" Santa photos. They are my favorite. We didn't make it last year, and this year with 4 kids, I am sure it will be "bad" somehow. This will be our 16 month old daughters first time. And I don't think our 3 year old son will remember him either.

end entry

this was really funny i love the way the kids took to santa. my grand daughter did the same thin

end entry

I wish I could see these pictures side by side because I swear these are the same twins from 31. I guess they didn't get over their fear yet. My son is almost 2 & hasn't cried yet (knock on wood). I got to dig up the picture of my older son (he hates taking pictures), he was about 4 & he had the maddest pout on his face. Every year he's the one I have to bribe to sit still, look at the camera & smile. You should have one of kids with the Easter bunny & birthday pictures too. I have one of my daughter (she was going on 1) at someone else's 1st birthday, sitting between two pinatas crying.

end entry

OMG!!!! Saving the best for last right? Oh jeeze.... too funny.

end entry

This is the best!!1

I laughed straight away.

I LOVe how Santa is still smiling :)

Its gotta win, I Think this is absolutely the funniest.

end entry

The photos are great...little ones really don't like Santa do they" My son was acting up at his second birthday and I was all upset. "Why are you being such a baby?" I would think, the following year, same thing. He finally told me that he was afraid of the clown we had been hiring for all the parties. Good to know!

end entry

I love that santa is trying so hard to get a good pic...like it will matter here! LOL!!! I have 2 sons 3 and 2 and we have some good ones too..I think I will give up until they are older HA HA!

end entry

I love #32, the only one smiling and looking at the camera is Santa...hahaha...
That Santa looks like he has a great sense of humor...I have twin girls too, their Santa photo is a good one too.
Thanks for the laugh.

end entry

I like the one where the little guy was holding his head and crying LOL

end entry

ha ha ha ha flippin the bird! and the kid whos on the floor and sants tryin to get him up... LOL LOVE IT!!!!!!

end entry

I like the one where the girl is flipping the bird!!!!!!!! LOVE IT>>

end entry

Oh to be a Santa's help you must be very good natured to have all those crying/screaming children on your lap all day!

end entry

That is hilarious... these look like the same twins from picture 31 a year later!!! Apparently they haven't conquered their fear!

end entry

OMG!!! The lil' screamer from '76 could easily be ME!!!! Now, I'm the mama who has the 3 screamers!!! LOVE IT!!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

end entry

Just checking back to see the updated bad Santa photos, but...sniff...they haven't changed in days.

I've sent in my granddaughter's picture with Santa--a very funny one!-- three years in a row. Due to your taping schedule, it looks like another year will pass us by yet again, but we'll get through it...I hope.

It's a great idea no matter what.

Merry Christmas!!!

end entry

Can we still send in bad santa photos? If so, I have a humdinger for you. Please advise how to do so if its not too late. Thanks!

end entry

I love the pictures, they are so funny. I dont think I have seen to many good santa pictures yet we still keep torchering little ones every year. I wish I could find this picture of my friends little girl she was 6 months old and had just eaten green beans a got sick all over santas beard and jacket.

end entry

I think that the "Bad" Santa photos are actually the best pictures ever! Mom my has a few herself.. and she has always said that she loves us kids the most when we are at our worst.. lol :D

Just a thought...

end entry

Waiting to see my grandchildren's bad Santa photo that my daughter sent in to you two weeks ago. Why hasn't it been revealed in your pics? It's the same 32 pics everytime I check in. No updates being done. Get with it!! We all want to see more.

end entry

Oh my gosh....why do we do this to our children. So funny and if you notice time does not change things. There was a picture from 1976 and oh my god the one of the little girl giving the middle finger. Too funny.

end entry

OH my gosh!! Look out! Duck santa duck!! Ha Ha Ha. This one is great.

end entry

Thanks so much for the laughs!! Those bad Santa pictures are hilarious!! Merry Christmas!

end entry

They must have found out that this isn't the real santa lol.. Merry Christmas to all, Love your show Ellen

end entry

I love the bad santa photos I'm actually in a library trying not to laugh. But I can't stop crying people are looking at me but its so funny.

end entry

I laughed so hard at the "Bad Santa" photos. These are just great. I Love Ellen's show.

end entry

We educate our children to avoid strangers, not talk to them and scream while running away. Find an adult, roll under a car, find a cop, etc.

So we parents set them on the lap of a stranger that is dressed VERY weird and expect them to say, "Cool! This rocks! Let me tell you what I want...Wait...You're Santa. Let me tell you..."

Parents make no sense. No wonder we are so odd. My child thinks I am nuts. Maybe, now I know why. I am just like so many others and probably many more to come.

end entry

Why do we subject our children to this? If they are obviously afraid why do we make them sit on a strange man's lap and take pictures when they cry? And people think it's funny. When they are afraid and cry in other situations do we think it's funny? Just something to think about.

end entry

To Crystal Armold: Shout it from the rooftops!! Congratulations on being cancer-free!! That's absolutely wonderful to hear! What a fantastic thing to celebrate. I feel soo great for you. I hope to God it is gone for good!! Have a great, enjoyable holiday season! May you be blessed with the best of everything! Take care. :D

end entry

I feel soooo sorry for the Santas! No wonder most of them drink! This happens to them all day long!! OMG! Kudos to them! There isn't enough $$ in the world for me to do it & I have 2 children! There is something to be said for the old saying "Mommy drinks because I cry". I think this time it should apply to Santa!! Oh yea, I've been fighting Cancer this whole year & I just found out last night after many chemos & surgerys...it is GONE!! WOO HOO!!! I'm Cancer free & I'm telling the world!! Merry Christmas!

end entry

These pictures almost make me want to be a Mall Santa. Not the "scare the poor child part" but the hilarious "look at me, I don't really know what to do with your child so I'll just smile and hold on real tight" part.

end entry

Thank you Ellen for making the afternoon exciting!! I love your show!! The photos are so GREAT!
Teri

end entry

Oh my how cute and funny all the pictures are. I remember those days. My husband and I took our dogs for pictures with Santa this year. As my husband said after-words," That was a real experience, One I won't have to repeat I hope." Our Terrier mix, Bedelia was one of those screaming children. But Bitsy who is a 9lb. Manchester Terrier loves every one, so it was a great photo opportunity for her. I love the pictures and my dogs of course. And we love you Ellen for all the joy and laughter you bring to us all via the Ellen Show. Thanks for everything. Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year.

end entry

#23 is my fav. because I just love how the santa is laughing as he's trying to keep the girls on his lap! It cracks me up! Some of the other santas look just as unhappy as the kids but this santa is awesome! Luv ya Ellen, you always make me laugh! Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all!

THIS IS THE BEST ONE!!!
BOTH KIDS SCRAMBLING & SCREAMING TO GET AWAY! TOO FUNNY!!!

end entry

Oh my gosh!!!!!!!! #23 is my favorite. Ihave to agree the last three are wonderful! Ho-Ho-HO

end entry

I like #23 it's obvious he has a kind nature. That's my favorite.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to You Ellen and your family and the crew of the Ellen show. Keep on smiling.
Kim

end entry

My fav is # 23. Even with two screamers Santa is still smiling. Now thats a good Santa. I really enjoy looking at these photos. It was a real pick me up after the day that I have had. I love your show and all taht you do. Keep up the good work Ellen.

Happy Holidays!!!

end entry

I love, love, love the bad Santa photos!I have many pics of my oldest screaming in Santa's lap. My husband is Santa every year. He volunteers his time as Santa because it makes him so happy when he makes all the kids happy. We can't go anywhere without kids stopping us and he makes time for every one.

end entry

Wow - #12 is a shocker. It gets my vote as the worst.

Hope you and your crew have a Merry Christmas and healthy new year.

end entry

This girls can really scream!

end entry

So great to see that Santa can keep on smilin' when the children seem horrified as in #23.
I'm not too sure about taking my 2 1/2 year old grandson to get his photo taken, Santa just might get a bop in the nose. yikes.

Ellen, wishing you and yours a very
MERRY CHRISTMAS and may all your wishes for the
NEW YEAR come true.

I Love you most dearly, you are my favorite laugh.

end entry

I've had the opportunity to take my own boys to see Santa , my Grandkids , my great grandkids and several Fosterkids , but these are some of the most precious photos I've ever had the pleasure of seeing ... Thank you for the enjoyment ... RT

end entry

Those are too funny. I like the one with the kid with his hands on his ears. My grandson didn't like Santa when he was little either but none of his pictures topped what you got. You are the best!

end entry

Ellen and your fabulously hilarious team!

Ya'll keep me crackin' up throughout every single day. You know...the type of cracking up where you start to laugh in places (like church, or the bathroom stall at work) when you think of funny things that you said, website things...you know. Well these xmas pics are great...i love that we get humor out of what was possibly the worst day of someone's life (or so they thought at the time...i was one too..i know). and you actually make a game out of it. love it! love everything...sorry this is so long and that there's so many "..."
love lisa:) and mr. benson

end entry

this is funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i love your show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

end entry

They are all so funny, but the worst is number 5! What is the baby wearing?

end entry

They were all pretty funny...but the last 3 pictures were the best, I think. They cracked me up!!!

end entry

I love these pictures. I laughed out loud! My favorites have to be the little boy with his hands on his head in dispair, and the belly button exposed. They were all wonderful! Thanks for sharing them!

end entry

The photos are LOL hillarious.
Please remove the kid giving the middle finger. (It doesn't invoke happy, Christmas thoughts)
I almost feel compelled to go to the mall and give the santa guy a tip. I did not realize how patient they must be!! :)

end entry

I don't get it. Why does Santa look different in every picture?! Maybe he has a different stylist every Christmas? Sheesh...makes me suspicious that something is up...

end entry

aw. I feel bad for the santas ):

end entry

HAHAHAHA....are they falling over? Looks like they may be DANCING...I think I hear "Thriller" playing in the background!

end entry

Photos are so cute!!! They had me laughing.

I still have a small painted pottery dog I got from Santa when I was young. That was a good memory that came to me after seeing your photos.

I would like to request the little girl who appears to be displaying her middle finger be removed since kids might be viewing the photos alone or with their parents.

Ellen - I love your show. You are so funny. I enjoy the way you interact with your guests, especially the children you interview.

end entry

What a riot! Brings me right back to Santa's lap with my older brother pinching me and my little sister screaming her head off. We did it every year without fail, though, my mother so kindly reminds us. And in every picture I looked dazed- the good 'ol days! Merry Merry to all!

end entry

Seeing these pictures brought back so many memories of my childhood Christmas pictures with Santa. I think for the first five years of my life every Christmas my picture looked ike these.
Ellen, you make my day.

end entry

TIS THE SEASON WHAT I SAY. THESE PHOTOS REALLY MAKE U REMEMBER THE PAST YOUR KIDS GROW UP SO FAST AND IT JUST MAKES U LAUGH THAT NO ONE STILL LIKES SANTA.

end entry

Thanks for Santa photos, loved them. I don'tknow if I feel more sorry for the kids or santa. love your show.

end entry

HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks I needed that.My son was A ham for a camera no matter what it was for,so I never got any photos like most of these.I feel for their parents though!Keep the laughs coming Ellen, you're great!

end entry

Thanks for the great idea of posting these photos!!
Every parent, at some time during their children's little lives, has come across a time when having thier photo taken with Santa (or the Easter Bunny) is just impossible!

We've all been there and it is great to see so many are willing to share their day with Santa not going so well! My sympathies to Santa and the parents! We look so forward to that moment - then that first tear appears, and you are jumping up and down, doing anything to try to get them to stop and smile. Whew - the workout!

Thanks to you all!

end entry

Hi Ellen,
These pictures are great!!!! I can always count on you brighten my day and to make me laugh! Thank you very much.
Tracy

end entry

I just went to my 22 year old daughter's house for dinner and I saw the picture of her 1st picture with Santa, and we laughed so hard. The picture is of her (Of course crying) but for years after looking at that picture, we were all positive, Santa was drunk! It was hilarious!

end entry

The 9 bad-Santa photos are great,but I enjoyed
number 7 the most. Santa looks as unhappy as the kids.

My teenage brother took me to see Santa when I was four years old. I walked alone up a long ramp to see Santa and when I looked at Santa and his eyes, I got scared and I ran screaming down the ramp.

end entry

these are so cute and good pictures. i think it is neat that you are willing to post the pictures. your the greatest host ever.

end entry

Studies apparently show that you are far less likely to laugh outloud when alone that when in the company of others... not when looking at those photos! I laughed so hard I almost cried. And I thought MY photo was bad! HA HA! THANKS for sharing these photos, everyone!

end entry

I LIKE PHOTO #9. SANTA SEEMS TO BE HAVING A GREAT TIME. LOOK AT THAT GREAT BIG SMILE!

end entry

Poor Santa, he really does have a tough job.

end entry

Ellen, Yeeessss what wonderful pictures love em keep them coming.

end entry

OMG!! These pics are so funny but yet so cute. The same thing happened to my little boy when he was a year and seven months... but now he looks back and laughs about the situation. THANXXX Ellen for keeping me and many other viewers entertained!! You're the BEST!!!

end entry

Hi Ellen - These pictures are too funny. Santa's sure have to be happy people to handle the kids that are afraid of them. My son never wanted any part of Santa and as he got older I gave him a bad time about how I was the only mother without a picture of her child with Santa. When he was in college he went and had a picture taken with Santa for me. I now have it sitting out all year long (he's 25 years old now). Thanks for collecting these pictures, they made me laugh.
Please keep your show going, it's the best on TV. I rush home every day to see your show. I look forward to laughing with you every day. Thanks.

end entry

These pictures are so cute. So are these children. Having your kid sit on Santa's lap isn't an act of cruelty. It's an American tradition. It's just something fun to do and these pictures are a GREAT memory for these families in the future. They'll all get a laugh when they go back to look at it. And than they'll take their own children to sit on his lap as well! :) Happy Holidays!! :)

end entry

Why do so many people think it's funny to subject children to something they don't want to do? I think it's a bit creepy to ask our kids to sit on a person's lap that they don't even know just for the sake of a photo - especially when they are clearly upset. It's kind of like expecting your kids to kiss & hug friends and relatives even though they don't want to.

end entry

When my son Colten was 3, I took him to visit Santa. I expected the normal "hysterics" however the opposite happened. He calmly walked up and plunked his little butt on Santa's knee. They got into quite a lengthy conversation, Colten accepted his candy cane and coloring book, however when it was time to leave he calmly said, "no, this is my Santa". Santa being the jolly fella he is...told me to leave him a while, likely thinking he would get bored and depart. Santa didn't do his homework on my kid because Colten was very content to sit and listen to the other children visit with Santa. Consequently, the parade of children that followed were allowed "the other knee" while my son sat quietly became a mystery member of some other family's Santa photos....whom I want to add were very good sports.

end entry

I'm sorry they may be funny, but as a mum i couldn't think of anything worse than tormenting my poor kids for the sake of having a picture taken with Father Christmas.

end entry

i love number 9, oh my, santa looks like he is trying to break up a battle,

end entry

these photos are so funny & cute!! the children are so cute. when i saw these photos i started to laugh and thinking poor Santa. lol

end entry

When is Mrs. Claus going to be available for pictures?

end entry

Did anyone but me notice that almost every one of those photos were of twins lol. At least 6 of them were , thats a majority lol. Im thinkin that most twins are afraid of Santa Claus lol. I dont have any twins in my family to back up that statement, but all six pictures couldnt be wrong, or could they lol.

Ellen good job, this is great.

end entry

I love how Santa is still smiling in the last photo even though the 2 little girls were trying to get away!

We went to a place once that requested we put our kids' backs to Santa as we sat them down so they couldn't see him and be scared... good thought, but they still turned around to see who was holding them and it was over!

Happy Holidays!

end entry

I love all of these photos, every single one made me laugh. Poor Santa! :)

end entry

Such precious pictures! I was reminded of the time we took my two boys to see Santa in a Nashville, TN mall on our way back to Ohio after Thanksgiving in Arkansas with family. Santa had a very distinct Southern accent that I completely baffled my normally exuberant, mischievous almost 2 year old. While his older (almost 4) brother must have said "Keezbuger" at least 20 times (much to Santa's amusement who accused him of being a camera hog..lol), the younger child would do nothing. We tried and tried for about 15 minutes (all caught on video, as well). Nothing. So, I finally had them take the picture and afterwards, Santa asked for a hug. Again, nothing, from either of them. Santa finally says, "If you love Santa, you'll give him a big hug", to which the oldest child rolled his eyes and quickly stated, "I don't love Santa. I like him". Yes, all caught on video that I used for years when they first started dating. hehehe I still pull it out. I love that video! Merry Christmas Ellen and everyone!

end entry

These are hilarious. They remind me of my youngest at her 2-year-old birthday party at Chuckie Cheese. She was scared to death of Chuckie. We had her 3-year-old party there and she chased Chuckie all over the building.

I had one of 5 out of 6 of my children with Santa when the youngest was sliding off of Santa's lap in a desperate attempt to be rescued, but don't know where it is right now since it's been 25+ years ago.

I love your show and watch it every day.

end entry

These pictures crack me up-They remind me of my childhood.I remember being so excited about seeing santa, and then when I actually got to see him I thought about all the bad things I did all year and I was convinced that he knew about them, I guess I had a BIG guilty conscience. Anyway I LOVE your show Ellen-keep up the good work!!!!

end entry

These are some of the funniest pictures I have ever seen. My personal favourite has to be number 9. I've laughed so much there are tears in my eyes!

end entry

I think these photos are so funny. My granddaughters are 3 and 2 and they were scared this year. Thier mom had to sit there with them. Made it a bit easier....Keep on dancing Ellen...Love your show!!!! Huggs and smooches!! Lisa in PA

end entry

I think these photos are SO FUNNY!!! I think this great that kids are scared of this man, but when they see him on TV or movies...they won't stop talking about him bring them toys! LOL so funny how kids work!
