I just wanted to let you know that jan.1 2007 I was injured on the job. I'm a home care nurse for the elderly, I have worked in this field for 22 years, and never was hurt, took a day off, took a vacation, and worked 7 days a week. The only time I ever took off was when someone passed away, then it was right back to work. I have worked a paying job since the age of 12&1/2, back then you could work with a parents signature. Anyways, the reason for me telling you this is you have made a huge difference in my life since I've been off of work for the last year and a half. How you ask? because I got into such a deep depression after the surgery and doctors and lawyers and court and everything,I thought of killing myself, I wasn't,I just thought about it. I wouldn't even turn on the t.v.,radio,or read a paper. One day my husband came home from work and turned the t.v. on and there you were, I fought laughing, but after like 3 minutes I couldn't help myself I had not laughed like that in a year or better. And it's because of you. In that one show you made me realize that life is what you make it, and if you want to sit around feeling sorry for yourself, your going to be a sorry and miserable person. If you take what life throws your way and laugh and joke about it you will be so much happier. And it did I got up off my butt, and started to move and in the past three months I've lost 19 pounds, my blood pressure is finally normal and has stayed steady. I'm back to my old self cracking jokes, I'm getting out of the house and I'm not scared anymore to leave my home. I walk everyday. And I just really have to thank you, YOU MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE AND YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW ME! CANDI from Ohio

Hey Ellen,
I am an avid watcher of your show and I get so tickled at you I nearly "pee" my pants. That's what happens after 50! Ha! Ha! I really appreciate you and all you do for people, you really have stayed grounded in spite of all your success. Your Mom is great and it is very evident how much you love and care for her. I wish you much luck in your up and coming marriage to Portia. If only the laws were changed in Virginia then me and my partner of 20 years could embrace the same joy. But until then we will just keep on doing what we do. Good luck in all you do and please keep on making us laugh!!!!!
Sincerely,
Suzanne in Virginia

GIDDAY Ellen ...Have never written to you before, watch you on cable t.v here in Australia, Sydney axtually. Have followed your career with interest over the many years.. congratulation on the big five oh (50) I turn 55 this year, the 50 was a jolt but Im just to it now. Myself and girlfriend Arvai think you are pretty kool and we get lots of laughs with your show, the audiances are a bit over the top some times but I think that is a cultural thing. Porcha (sorry if spelt incorrectly ) would nkow what I>m talking about. Anyway keep up the good work and the honest approach...Best wishes..Glenniffer

Hi Ellen!
First, I would like to say, I LOVE YOUR SHOW!!!!
My son (broden) (1yr.old) Loves to dance to the music with me when you dance every day! I have a question...About your GMC giveaway.
I was wondering what happens if we get the question wrong? Does that mean that we are thrown out of the drawing? I hope not. :0)
I really need a new car, and I hope to win. I live in (backwoods) PA, and the winter has been really ICY. If you don't have four wheel drive, you can't get out of our -1/4 mile long- driveway. My boyfriend and I just bought a 1992 Blazer, and 3 days later found out that the 4-wheel drive does not work and it sticks in 4-low (if you can even get it in.) To make matters worse, no one can figure out what's wrong with it,and I agreed to drive my boyfriend's Grammy back and forth to her therapy sessions after her knee was opperated on. (which was last week) she has 2 or so more weeks in the hospital, and then she won't have a ride to and from therapy. I just hope I win...could you make the questions really easy!???! We can't afford to buy another new vehicle right now- we just bought an old one that doesn't work!
Anyways, Please make the questions really easy...
:0)

I watch your show daily and I would really like to have one of those 32" Vizio TVs you are giving away because mine is old and starting to go bad (the picture is distorted...people have big heads and stubby legs) and I cannot afford a new one at the moment because I am unemployed. My plan was to enter daily from the first day of the announcement until February 19 on the chance that I would be able to win one. Today when I tried to enter my daily input, the form was not there!? What happened? Are all the TVs given away? Could you please investigate this and let me know if this is just a technical oversight and when the form will be operable again so I can continue my daily submittal? Thank you.
~Ruth

I'm usually singing smiles, as my Email address displays, but now I'm singing sadness because I, too, missed Ellen's Really Big Show. When could we see it again (re-run)? Also, I would really like to let you know, my 'bucket list' only has one wish on it. I would love to be at Ellen's 50th birthday bash. I don't remember mine, two years ago. I have been struggling with a liver disease for three years. My 50th (April 11th, 2005) and my 51st (April 11 - 15th, 2006) I spent in the hospital. I kind of remember my 52nd (2007) recovering a liver transplant on March 8th, 2007. I am so blessed to be here and I choose Ellen's entertainment as my medication of choice. I started out of recovery on 20 meds. I am now down to seven & very glad to be whole again. Please invite me to her birthday party. She is my laughing angel.
I Love You, Ellen!!!!! Thanks for all the laughs.

I was really looking forward to seeing your Really Big Show! It's a shame us poor folks that cannot afford cable could not see it! Please don't forget that all of the people don't have cable TV!

OK, whip me with a wet noodle. I forgot to set "Ellen's Big show" on TIVO. My 81 year old mother is still not talking to me, I wouldn't even talk to myself if I didn't have to. Please tell me there will be a re-run, and when it will be, or where can I get a DVD copy.
Posted by VICKI MCCARTHY | December 9, 2007 8:37 AM

I was wondering when Ellen's Really Big Show was airing, and, if it has already aired, how can I get a copy of the show.
Thanks so much,
