Ellen, i wanted to share a note about my 4 1/2 year old son Luke and how his little mind works...He loves our cats and especially our white himalayan "gracie". One night he asked me to leave the light on for her. I explained how cats have night vision and are nocturnal. I also shared info on other animals who are nocturnal and don't need lights to see in the dark.
A week or so later,my husband and i were looking in the man hole under the house looking for our christmas decorations stored there. We asked luke to please go into the house and get a flash light for us to see better. After a few minutes luke returned without the flashlight but was holding our cat "gracie"in his arms. Luke said" I couldnt'find the flashlight but gracie has night vision!!!
thought this story would make you chuckle. We sure did.

Ellen in a world of fakes and phonies it is so great to watch someone who is genuine to herself and the ones around her. Your show brings so much to our home. I quit my job of 10 years to stay home and take care of my 82 yr old mother. She has been very ill, and can't be left alone at all. I stay with her 24/7 not because I have to, but because I chose to. We love to sit and have our lunch and watch your show each day. There are very few things these days that make her laugh, but your show seems to always do that. We have had a very hard year this year, but we pray that God will bless us with another to share together. Congratulations to you and Portia on your marriage. It is wonderful to share your life with someone who is your soulmate. My husband is in jail for a crime that he had nothing to do with, and we are still fighting for his freedom, but we are not looking at this in a bad way. God has some purpose for this to have happened, and I am sure in his time he will reveal it to us. God bless you this holiday season, and in the year to come. Keep on making people smile! I just want to thank you for keeping it positive! I used to watch those "other" talk shows, but they are so depressing!! You are a ray of sunshine everyday, and that's important to have when you live in Ohio, where it's cloudy and gray 90% of the time! I am not a big believer in destiny or anything, but you must have been put here to bring joy and laughter to people and I am in awe of how many people you touch. You should receive Saint-hood (or some equivalent). Something like Mother Teresa, you could be Mother Ellen. Seriously, though, you inspire me to look for more opportunities to help others.

Ellen, I love coming home from work and watching your show, it is such a great way to relax. I've never watched a show and not laughed. I want to tell you a story about my beautiful 9 month old grandson, Mason. Unfortunately they live in FL and we live in Chicago, but we were able to go down and spend 10 days with Mason, our daughter and her husband. I was in Mason's room playing with him, he decided to push a suitcase around I unzipped the case and he crawled in, I couldn't resist and I started to zip the bag and stand it up. I yelled for my daughter to come, she saw us and started laughing so hard that she had to run to the bathroom before she could even take the pictures (Mason didn't like waiting) even when Carly came back she was still laughing so hard she could hardly snap the pictures. I would love to send these to you, you would get a kick out of them. We were fortunate enough to see you in Chicago (it happened to be the same day our daughter flew in, we picked her up at Midway Airport and drove right into the city). What a wonderful experience. Let me know how I can attach pictures and I'll send these off. Keep doing what you're doing, because it is GREAT!

commercialkids.com, has u on their website under a testimonial. just wanted 2 know ur opinion on the company. Is it reputable? I was jipped out of 19.95 with cutekidsoftheyear. I've seen cute babies in my time and I don't think my son is that cute, but everyone thinks he should do a commercial or 2. I don't want a child star. Apparently in this industry u have to b either real real cute or extremely ugly to get noticed. I'm just a parent with limited to no resources. Would u know of a few reputable companies other than commercial kids. My son is 6 months old and laughs at everything. U could be crying,dancing, taking of his clothes, when women talk to him, correcting my daughter or the dogs and he's cracking up. The mail man had to ask if we had one of those happy babies. He said I've heard of them, but I've never seen one till 2day.
Anyone's advice would b useful.

Im not really sure if you would respond to this letter or not, but i thought i would any way give it a try. well my Name is Anne & Im from Sri Lanka! Its a country very far away from yours. Could be called even a Island. My country is just below India. They call our country the pearl of the Indian ocean.

Any way i watch your show quite often, I do not get the immidiate upto date shows on our cable network, but i still follow your show. I think its the month of november that is still on. Some times if im luckey i get to see the december show. I like your show very much. Im at home looking after my 1 1/2 year old son. So Tv is the only social life i get around here : ), so your show cheers me up.

Dear Ellen,
Your show is one of the best things that has come into my life. I love all that you do for everyone and most of all how you get involved in cancer projects and research. I recently lost my father to lung cancer (Feb.18, 2005) after only knowing about it for two weeks. It was very hard to see him pass away like that but I fee like I am one of the lucky ones because he did not have to suffer like most people do when they have cancer. My heart goes out to you for all the help that you give to children. My son who is now 16 yrs old has a birth defect that he was born with called arthrogryposis. When he was born I wondered how I was going to take care of him and his condition but like with my father I feel like I am one of the lucky ones. My son does not have to have treatments that will make him sick or cause him to lose his hair. I work in the medical field so I do see child with cancer and it is so hard not to cry for them because I know that what they are about to go through is so unfair for a child. So, keep up all the good work that you do and do all that you can do for the children that need a little love, a little laughter and to see you dance.

I've only recently discovered you and your shows, (hard to believe yes but I do live in England and am only 15.) And I love them. Your an inspiration so the women race. I just love watching your show, you always make me laugh, and laughter is the spice of life! My 10 month old daughter loves you too. The Ellen Show is the only thing on TV that keeps her attention besides Veggie Tales and Bob the Builder! :D She loves it when you dance and sways back and forth with you. Eventhough I was in the ref raf room but still I got chance to see you face to face at the end of the show.It was one of my dreams that came true. i really like the kids pictures and the bad santa photos. do you know jesus? well if you dont he died for you and churches and people can prove it. theres actually videos proven that they found the cloth that jesus was rapped in after he died, but you know what? he rose from the dead and heeled the sick and changed thousands of peoples lives. i will pray for your spiritual health in the lord. i want you to think about that.

We love the car jumper....get the commerical on TV!!!!! The world needs more positive people! What an example for so many kids to look up too! Thanks Ellen for believing in people.

I have two wonderful sons and a terrific grandson .Every day I thank God for the wonderful life he has given me .I don't have much money so I am very limited in the money I can give to people in need . Thanks so much for all of the chairity work you do, I am really grateful at this time for all you are doing to battle against Cancer, I have a fourteen year old Daughter that just fought a really tough battle with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma it would be really nice if no other children had to go through that.

My nephew is a huge fan of Miley Cyrus and I didn't get a chance to TiVo her interview. Do you post them somwhere on your website so I can let him watch it online? He would think I was the best Aunt Ever if I could find it :-)
