Dear Diane: I have been admiring you for years. You are a no nonsense journalist with a wonderful wit that cuts through the smokescreens that some politicians, leaders and dictators throw up. Today is my birthday. Would you grant me a birthday wish? Please ask the candidates who are running for president and vice president WHY no one speaks about crime in this country. It is probably the most incidious danger we face at home. Our cities are at war with criminals. Our jails are overcrowded. I would like your help. My brother has recieved a 100+year sentence in which I know he would not out live. Out of the 100 year sentence he has already served twenty years of his life. He has been told that the number of charges he has recieve don't warrant him receiving all that time. We, his family don't really have the financial means to support him they way he should be represented. Please help!
