I believe this is a very pragmatic proposal. I have found since taking this post that when it comes to missile defense, some hold a view bordering on theology that regards any change of plans or any cancellation of a program as abandonment or even breaking faith.

Spare the rod?
Scripture is very clear about spanking. It’s not going to kill your children. In fact, it’s going to help them. The key is to spank in love and not in anger.
If you want your Christian family to thrive then you really need to consider spanking your children for direct disobedience. It will bring peace into your home and will show your children that you love them enough to discipline them. They will probably even thank you for the spankings some day.
Ellen is the best!! xoxoxo

The frequency, precipitation characteristics and hydrologic ramifications of multiple occurrences, or series, of convective weather systems are presented and discussed. The temporal and spatial characteristics of the accumulated precipitation from a series of convective complexes is investigated and compared to that of Hurricane Alicia.
It is found that mesoscale convective weather systems account for approximately 30% to 70% of the warm-season (April–September) precipitation over much of the region between the Rocky Mountains and the Mississippi River. During the June through August period, their contribution is even larger. Moreover, series of convective weather systems are very likely the most prolific precipitation producer in the United States, rivaling and even exceeding that of hurricanes.

Help students see the consequences of forgetting by asking "how" and "what" questions: "How will this affect your grades?" "What will happen if you don't complete your project?" "How might forgetting this affect your friendship with Juan (if Juan may be angry or disappointed)?" But never ask questions that might add to the student's embarrassment.
I love you Ellen!

OMG it's Ellen. This is a good pic (compared to the others), but I do see why you would think it was bad. I hate the flippy hair thing too. Is there something around your neck or is it some kind of background or a picture effect or something. Please enlighten us to what's going on in the pic & why you think it's bad.
Posted by Anna | September 29, 2008 12:13 AM
Girl, if this is a bad picture I want to see the Good ones. I wish I had pictures like this of me when I was in school. OMG!!! You look great and your smille is just perfect.

Posted by Janna | July 4, 2008 1:42 PM
Aww! why is it that Ellen's bad school photos have to look good, and ours look ridiculous? This is not bad at all! I love your hair all flippy like that!
Posted by Megan N. | June 13, 2008 11:08 AM
OMG... someone thought you had a dog cone around your neck! That's too funny. Not a bad school photo at all. I'll have to look through my photos to find the one where I'm wearing suspenders that say "Nanu Nanu" on them. You know... from Mork and Mindy?!? I've got one eyebrow up and the other down and I'm smiling so hard that I'm sure it was hurting my face. Hmmm... memories!
FYI - It's the photo background with some black shading on the corners of the photo that make it appear that way.
Posted by Tammy | June 13, 2008 9:17 AM
"you" are not bad looking in this pic at all, but WTF is that around your neck? It looks like either a cone they put on dogs so they dont bite their stitches or else that you were dressed like Queen Elizabeth????
Posted by Heather | May 28, 2008 8:53 AM
Are you kidding me? This is a beautiful picture! OK, I was just being polite coz I want TWO FREE TICKETS to your show!
Posted by Archie | May 28, 2008 8:23 AM
Were you wearing an evening dress for this pic?? Looks like an off-the-shoulder little number.
Actually, you look very nice.
But I'll bet you don't like this photo because of the hair flippy thingy going on with your feathered bangs...ah, those feathered bangs! I had those....if you moved your head wrong, they'd flip out funny unless you cemented your bangs in place with hairspray. Of course, if I got caught in the wind, the bangs were so stiff that they'd STILL flip out all funny!

Posted by Linda | January 15, 2008 2:21 PM
Those pictures were hilarious but I'm pretty sure you would get a good crying laugh out of my fourth grade picture! My bangs were cut to far back on my head by a bad stylist so my mom, bless her beehive, backcombing, teasing heart stacked my bangs straight up off my head about three inches and not only for that picture but that whole year which promted the name Peg Bundy, you know off the Married With Children show. (the redheaded mother with the big hair) One classmate started that name and even though I wised up and quit letting my mom do my hair, I was called Peg Bundy or Peg till high school. It was awful!! If my mom can find the picture and send it to me I'll post it. Oh I almost forgot, I also had big Red framed glasses then too. To the Good Ol' Days right!:) P.S. Don't change a thing about you or your show! You touch sooo many people with your caring, giving, loving heart! I'm surprised it fits in your chest! LOL:) You make my day sweetie!:)

Thank you for giving my mom and I the special times that you did, we enjoyed watching you everyday. It was the only time we both sat down and put everything else off. Thanks again

I have the worst picture ever, I mean ever. My mom made me get this short hair style when I was in middle school that was feathered back, and she made me wear a pink and aqua green sweater. I had braces on top of all of this. When I was getting my hair cute a woman asked if HE had long hair before coming in. I cried and cried.

Dear Ellen,
I have been going into your Clothing every day hoping that you will MARK down The PINK Cancer Underwear. I think $25.00 is a bit much, although I know it is for a good cause.
I Love your show and watch it just about everyday,(unless I am out and about) and you bring so much happeniness and joy to everyone.
Have you considered going on Dancing with The Stars? I think it would be quite interesting. But I remember something about your back. I suffer from Chronic Back Pain, and had a Neuro Stimlulator put in my back on the right hand side. It is annoying by at times helpful. I have to carry the remote with me so I can get some relief when needed.
Sorry to go on and on.
But how about knocking down the price on the Pink Undies????????????????????????
Please
