I do enjoy Angelina Jolie - I think she inspires people in general to be more open, understanding, generous and compassionate about those who do not have what we take for granted daily here in the USA. And I agree, she is not the only celebrity involved with UN Ambassodor volunteer work - but she does get the word out and goes in person to these countries and uses her status to get the information out there. So to everyone this holiday season lets be inspired and help in our own communities. A few canned goods or donated clothing to a Goodwill, Red Cross or Salvation Army can help those out who need it most. A little can go a long way for those in need.

"Angie" is quite a philanthropist and a self-responsible atheist. She routinely gives away 1/3 of her realized income to help those in need, not to mention her work with the U.N. & refugees in war-torn countries. BTW, she refused to sleep with Pitt until both she and he were "single". I see nothing wrong with this, and I'm getting a bit sick of hearing mindless twits bloviate on the matter. 'Sour grapes, you jealous ones. Please, feel free to get your own life.

Angelina stated she was going to stay home and take care of the children after her last adoption, hmmm how many movies did she make. I dont' quite think she is as giving as people stating that she is. She has mucho bucks and can afford the staff that she needs.
Remember this woman when she was lying about her affair with Brad and when she lied about the above. I do not respect her and she cannot change what she has said and done. If you look at her statments and later looked at her actions they say 2 different things.
I'm saying she does absolutely what she wants to do no matter what she promises to do or not do.
Those feats she has accomplished is nothing compared to what real women have accomplished as far as humanitarians. She is an actress and quite a good one in everything real and fantasy.
Lets not make her a saint there are too many other deserving people out there who did something real.

Two of my favorite celebrities...I love Angelina's heart and passion towards children. I love Ellen's passion to make people laugh and the ability to do it in a decent manner. Ellen never curses and it is just as funny as those who do. I appreciate that about her. I like Chris Rock's "Bigger and Blacker" stand-up performance on DVD. I believe ever word that comes out of his mouth is a curse word, but he speaks the truth and is hiliarious. So, I am not bashing people who use obscene language in their comedic acts. I just think in the world we live in today that Ellen is unique in regards to her approach on comedy....that's all. :)

Hi Ellen, been watching you since your original shows years ago.....you are so blessed and the best thing is that you give back to the community, not just the gay community but to everyone. As an Italian American from the Bronx who knew he was gay but went the straight route to satisfy family, then got divorced and met the man I've been with now for 27 years, I could only hope that the new generation realizes how good they have it now. You are a role model for young gay people who know that they don't have to hide in the closet, but be proud and gay and equal members of society. When your image was plastered on magazines across the country when you came out on national television you saved countless numbers of young gay people from suicide and forced parents to realize that it's ok to be gay!! I know you don't want your show to be an exclusive platform for gay issues but I applaud those moments when you bring up issues to this country that should be openly discussed like that eight year old boy who was murdered by another boy who felt it was just punishment.
