As a teen, Josh Groban had dreams of acting. While he knew he could sing, his goal was theater. Fortunately, his vocal coach realized what Groban was capable of and introduced him to a powerful producer named David Foster. In 1999, Foster asked Groban to stand in for Andrea Bocelli during a rehearsal song with Celine Dion at the Grammy Awards. His performance caught the attention of many, and things only got better for Groban.
