This season, Tony Okungbowa will return as DJ for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Tony debuted as DJ of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in fall 2003, and took some time away from the show in 2006 to focus on his acting career. After several appearances on the show over the past two seasons, Tony is back full-time, chatting with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres about everything from pop culture to current events -- and of course, playing Ellen’s favorite music!

Tony first appeared on the Los Angeles DJ scene when he and photographer Andrew McPhearson arranged to have Tony play music on the sets of various celebrity photo shoots, including “TV Guide,” film company Focus Features, and for “Glamour” magazine. In fact, Tony first met Ellen DeGeneres in 2003 during a photo shoot for “TV Guide.” In addition to his daily role on the show, Tony will continue acting. He will been seen in an episode of “Law & Order: SVU,” and his other television credits include “The X Files,” “NYPD Blue” and “Arli$$.” Tony has also released, “Hollywood Sessions,” a compilation album of his favorite grooves.
