James Durbin, one of my favorite "American Idol" performers, was on the show today to talk with me about "Idol" and to perform one of his hits.
James was voted off, even though I picked him to win the whole thing. It just goes to show... you never know who’s gonna win for sure. Unless, of course, you’re me, and we’re talking about the Super Bowl.
Even though he was known as "American Idol’s" heavy metal singer, James is a big fan of country and even won a country music singing contest. In other news, Scotty McCreery is starting a KISS cover band.
James doesn’t eat beef and loves tofu. He should come over for my famous Tofu Spring Rolls. They’re so easy to make. It only takes two steps; first get some tofu, second, call your chef.
James may not have won "American Idol," but I think it's clear he has an amazing career ahead of him. He’s an incredible singer and a great role model. I’m glad he was here.

James as always did an amazing job performing and I was so happy to see him on your show. I also picked him to be the winner and was really shocked when he was voted off. He is also a fantastic inspiration to everyone. He shows us that you can do anything if you believe.
