Hi Ellen
Thanks for supporting animals who live in shelters. I have adopted several dogs from shelters for the last 20 years and I have been happy with everyone of them no matter what they looked like how old they were or what their physical disabilities were they all love to be loved and to give love. I just adopted a 5 year old Doberman 3 days ago and he is perfect.

Hi Ellen. I have had dogs since I got married 35 yrs. ago. I love all animals and would take them all into my home if I could. Last year I lost my 4 lb. Yorkie. Since then my parents came to live with us. My husband said we can not afford another dog. I really miss the company.

I got my Chamrie at the San Clemente no kill shelter. He has ashtma, we call it "spasma"

He throws himself on the floor waiting for you to rub his belly, and he is a cat!

Ellen I just love so much about you and your love for animals makes me feel even closer. Surprisingly there are so many people that do not understand how we animal people think and feel. I do and feel so much more comfortable with critters than I do people.
My best pet I ever had in my whole life passed this June/11 and I am still not over her. She was a one in a milion all white, female Chihuahua who loved everyone. She was relaxed, did not bark (do to my training) and her favorite thing was to get up on me and snuggle her head under my chin and go to sleep.
I am a young senior but am handicapped and this last year has been hell and I have no money. No one will let me get another dog because where I am moving to they do not allow pets. This is the biggest hurt and thing that I need more than anything in my life.
So Ellen when you go home, hug your pets and maybe thing of me when you do. You are a very fortunate woman. God Bless

Ellen, I love what you do for animals. You have a BIG heart. Thanks for all that you do. You encouraged me too. This is what I did. I took my cat, Kobe to the vet and while waiting I was asked if I had seen the kittens that were available for adoption. Yes, but I already had two cats at home. They convinced me to take a look. They brought a beautiful all black female. We all fell in love with her. I instantly changed her name from Opal to OPRAH. We took her home. This year we will celebrate our third Christmas together. Your generosity and determinaton influenced me to take a chance on adopting a cat.

I was going through your web-site and saw this link. Thank you so much for caring enough to take the time to pass on this wonderful site. I have to beatiful mutts, both found on Petfinders.com. Reilly is almost 9 yrs. old and the best dog to have around. Dixie is now 5 and I think has a touch of ADD. Still jumps around like a puppy but is lovable. These two are always going to be special to me since they will be the last dogs I own. Our yougest granddauther is VERY alergic to dogs and can not visit like her brother and sister. I know she is little and does not understand, but I will miss having a dog. Thanks again for caring so much for animals, you are truly blessed person.

Ellen, your love of life and laughter and DANCE is wonderful. BUT, what does not get the most attention and what I find most endearing is your great love and passion for our dear animals who cannot help themselves. This family is committed to animal charity and after the loss of our Corgi, Lizzi, when I knew I could never allow another pup into my heart because it was so broken, along came the picture of our Gracie, who was thrown into a pound and pulled by Atlanta Pet Rescue and Lizzi's voice said to me,"Mom, you can save her" and we did. So we have Cooper our rescue 20lb kitty and Gracie our blooming flower!! Keep helping the little ones who can't help themselves, it is so awesome and if it makes you feel as good as it does me well...

I love the fact that you do so much for every one including our pets dogs and cats, all gods animals. I have 5 fox terries and one boston terrier. They are like my kids and I spoil them well. They love Greenies and if you say the word, spell, the word or just say gggg. they know what it is and go into action like a kid wanting there faveriot icecream. There is no better friend than your dog or cat.

I didn't know this was here but glad I came across it. I see I'm not the only one who accidently does a double click.

Hi Ellen, I am super proud of you and your show.Ellen you strive to make everyone feel like they are somebody, when all the odds are trying to be against us. Ellen you made a difference in my life when you aired a show about the guy in Montgomery,Al (the furniture song)Wow do you really read our newspaper? Ellen it made a different to know someone in the Hall of Fame do care about the small country towns in Alabama. I am a country girl with some class, work for Stein Mart in Birmingham Alabama and live in Childersburg, Alabama. My husband pastor a small church, and he's a contractor, lost his job at the first of November 2010, when the company made their money off of his work, then shut him down before the holidays. The most unforgettable heartbreaking moment of our life(most of all for the grandchildrens)the most difficult time of the year. We lost our dog(spike)had him for seven years the animal i received before my father past away in 2006, some took his life and broke the entire family heart. Animals have a special place in our hearts. We have a german shepherd now and need big yard for (Miracle)to run free... Ellen i love you and i appreciate the time you took out of you busy schedule for this Alabama girl. ANYWAY!(lol)
