At 20-years-old, Trevor Bayne is the youngest person to have won the Daytona 500, but did you know that he turned 20 the day before the race? And I thought the teenagers in my neighborhood drove fast.
Trevor has always had a need for speed. He won 3 Go Kart World Championships before he was 13. I also heard a rumor that as a toddler, he set a land speed record on his tricycle.
There were 16 cautions during the race. A "caution" means something dangerous could happen... 16 is unusually high for a race, but right on target for when Portia catches me jumping on the bed.
Congratulations, Trevor, on your big win. I bet there will be many more to come.
