Can You Provide These Dogs with Loving Homes?

One of Ellen's favorite charities, The Gentle Barn, is looking for loving homes for several adorable dogs. Read more about the dogs below, and if you can provide a home, please email thegentlebarndogadoption@gmail.com.

The following dog is looking for a home in or near Los Angeles:

stella - dog adoption los angeles

Three years ago, Stella was rescued from a bad situation, brought back to health, and placed in a new home. Sadly, her new family can no longer care for her, so The Gentle Barn is looking for a new, permanent home. They want to place her quickly so she doesn't have to transition again. She is playful, loyal and loving, and great on leash and in the car, however, she is not great with other dogs.

The following dogs are looking for homes in or near Ohio:

I agree with Kim "Cute dogs, but what about all the animals who are tortured for the Cover Girls products you are the spokeswoman for? They feel pain even though you are getting a big paycheck."

Don't get me wrong, I love you Ellen!!! But seriously im 13!!! Come on we need to do something about this!!!

So sad so many pit bulls & pit mixes are "thrown away", abused, or worse. These breeds are the most GENTLE, LOVING, SWEET dogs that will protect you with their life with no hesitation. Our 11 year old boy, Max, crossed the Rainbow Bridge August 6th, 2011. It's still too soon to adopt again for me, but The Gentle Barn sounds like an amazing place for these dogs & animals of every kind.
Thank you, Ellen, for letting folks know about this place!

iamvery happy toknow your terrific tobeing head of rescueing animals.i donate to the humanesocity, aspca, wild animals.to help give them a voice.i havea very percious japanisechin/shitzu.iwould have more but dont have room for another when angels gone.ill get a another shelterdog.mary

ellen this is a heart breaking story as an animal lover you should cover. the patrick story. it happened here in newark, nj on march 16th. long story short, a 28 yr old "kid" tied this poor 1 yr old pitbull up outside with no food for a week while she went away. she claims she didnt put him in the garbage bag and throw him down the trash chute but miracley the maintnace guy saw a bag moving and he opened it and it was the dog all skin and bones weighing just 20 lbs. the "ki" said she didnt want the dog and couldnt care for it and was hoping someone would take it. but she said she never hurt that dog. cause it was the day before st. patty's day the shelter named him patrick. he is making recovery but the prosecutor said they cant do more than a yr for this "kid" and horrific act she did. here is patricks youtube and the other link is his facebook... also the mayor is looking for help to open a shelter named after patrick and is asking for donations as his bday gift to reach $50,000, the mayor of newark mr. cory booker. ppl from around the world have faxed and the prosecutors office and the up'd the charge to torture and abuse of a living creature. MAYBE IF THEY SEE FAMOUSS PPL STICKING UP FOR OUR ANIIMALS THEY WILL TAKE THIS MATTER MORE SERIOUSLY. PLEASE HELP FOR ALL THE ANIMALS AND PASS A LAW THAT NOONE WITH ABUSIVE PASTS CAN OWN OR PURCHASE ANY LIVING CREATURE FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIFE. GOD BLESS....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsvoVEtCDkI

Hi Ellen, do you support any horse charities???So many unwanted horses and they are starving.

PLEASE ELLEN- TELL ME KIM S COMMENT ABOUT COVER GIRL MISS TREAT ANIMALS 4 TESTING THEIR PRODUCTS IS NOT TRUE! I LOVE MY 3 DOGS, 2 WERE RESCUED FROM CERTAIN DEATH! IF I WAS ABLE 2 I WOULD BE HELPING MORE ANIMALS, BUT I LIVE IN APT ON DISABILTY CHECK. WHEN I SEE A ANIMAL THAT NEEDS RESCUED IT MAKES ME SAD CAUSE THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS BEG FRIENDS 2 ADOPT THE ANIMAL. MY DOGS R TREATED BETTER THAN MOST KIDS, THEY R MY BEST FRIENDS WHO I LOVE SO MUCH!I DONT BUY ANY THING 4 MYSELF CAUSE 'MY KIDS' FOOD & vet bills r more important. LOVE UR SHOW ELLEN! PLZ CONTINUE 2 HELP THESE ANIMALS WHO NEED HELP.

ellen, i watch the show and see how you help so many people so i thought i would wright and see if there is any thing you could do for us. For the last 4 years my husband has been the only one working and he as gone though 2 stents in his legs, and a deer hit the only car we own. So you see we are in desperate need of a car for us to not only look for work but also get to work. We are also very behind in bills. We love your show not only what you do for people but you make our day by making us laugh. i hope you keep up what you do for a very long time.

Oh, Ellen! I would take all of them in a heartbeat! They all look so precious and need LOVE! I have 2 dog's, a huge cat, and a few horses. They get taken better care of than some children. (Unfortunately, but, good for my babies) I am such an animal lover and everytime Sarah M come's on the TV singing that song and seeing those sad faces on the ASPCA commercial, I cry! I litterally have to leave the room or change the channel. It just break's my heart and makes me so angry at people who abuse those sweetheart's!! I think however an animal is abused, that owner or abuser should be taken and done the same to them. Best wishes and PRAYER'S for all the dog's,cat's, horse's who need a loving, nurturing home!!

Such cute dogs all of them. I know that they will find good loving homes. This is really nice of you to make sure these dogs get loving place to live. I sure wish I could add another dog to my home really love that cattle dog what a sweetie pie. I have 3 dogs as it is very tough right now due to finances & being out of work. Ellen you really rock as the most giving person! You have a heart of gold. Thanks for all you do.
Hugs,Patricia

How do i get one of these dogs and where?

Ellen,I have spent my whole life rescuing animals in need. I have also handed this trait down to my daughter as well. It's something I have done since my childhood years. As of right now on my farm I have a horse that spent it's whole life in very unbelievable conditions, including starvation, dehydration, almost crippled from lack of care for her feet, etc. Within 3 months of food, water, ferrier work on her feet, and alot of LOVE,she made a huge turn around. I also have 2 other horses,a cat and a dog that are rescues as well. I believe that the rescued animals are much more loyal and loving companions than those from high priced facilities. They appreciate love and food and other things they were lacking that caused them to need rescuing in the first place. Thank you for being involved to help make the world a better and happier place for all of us including the poor helpless animals who depend on us humans for their needs. If I were more financially able I would adopt more.

Cute dogs, but what about all the animals who are tortured for the Cover Girls products you are the spokeswoman for? They feel pain even though you are getting a big paycheck.

Hi Ellen,

Thanks so much for helping these beautiful aninals that need homes. Animals are God's angles on earth. There love is pure, and everlasting.........they have given me and so much joy throughout my life......to have the love of an animal is truly a gift........xox Peace love and happiness to you Elllen........

Animals are God's angles in disguise........there love never ends and never changes. To know an aninal's love is truly a gift. Bless everyone who changes an animal's life. Peace to all..........

I'm sure this wasn't intentional, but I clicked on the foto of the injured pointer puppy and was sent to the Universal Studios Orlando website. Ugh.

After visiting the Gentle Barn as a Christmas Gift to myself. I have learned..its not what you can do for the animals...its WHAT THOSE ANIMALS DO FOR YOU AND THE PEOPLE WHO GET THE HONOR TO VISIT THE GENTLE BARN ....OPEN YOUR HEART AND YOUR POCKETBOOK and support this wonderful wonderful caring place. Thanks Ellen and Portia for all your support. And Ellie and Jay your hearts are bigger than all the stars in the sky. May you find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I hope all these Ohio dogs find wonderful caring forever homes, everyone deserves to feel LOVED.

SO wish I could! Have 3 of my own, 1 adopted from a no-kill shelter, 1 taken from a friend who had not one clue what a dog really needs...love and attention. The other was a gift for my mom, and she changed her mind...so we kept her. My daughter just lost her beloved D-O-G, she was almost 10. I had to accompany her to have her put down. I still cry about it. Daughter is in no position to have another one yet as they are losing their own home. I hope these, and others like them, find good loving homes.
Thanks for all you do for everyone, Ellen. God has made sure there is a place for you in heaven.

Hi Ellen,
Are these dogs from the gentle barn?
This is great of you to post this, let's hope someone will see this and give all these pups a home and a second chance. Thanks for sharing!

Feel so sorry for the the lonely dogs and cats that don't have someone who can give them all the love and attention they need. To bad that there are so many people out there that totally go around abusing these animals they are so helpless and trustworthy to humans and then look what these people go and do to them, they need to have done to them what they do to the animal.

I adopted my Miss Molly (Heeler/Lab) mix about from someone posting on Facebook. She's 4 years old now (I've had for for a year) and we are looking for new playmate. A smaller dog than her. Maybe someone can contact me to adopt one of those lovely dogs you have posted? I live in Las Vegas, Nevada
