Ellen and Portia recently adopted two cows at The Gentle Barn -- named Holy and Madonna, and they're doing well. To help keep them warm, The Gentle Barn found the perfect blankets for them. Check out these photos of the cows, along with a few other animals from The Gentle Barn.

Ellen my husband and I have Southdown Sheep and we just had our first set of twin lambs born. It was the coldest morning we've had so far (7 degrees) Those blankets sure would look like they would keep our lambs nice, cosy and warm this winter. By the way we still have 20 Ewes to have lambs yet. We don't actually live on a farm and we just have our sheep as a hobby and our kids and now our grandkids are showing them as 4-H projects in the summer. They go to the Decatur Township Lions Club Fair, Marion County Fair, Morgan County Fair and the Indiana State Fair.

This picture reminds me of our family. All our critters have coats. My daughter is very big into the Blazes Horse Rescue . They receive so many horses from abuse. It's so gratifing to see them come in so thin and ill and leave healthy and adopted. Here in Oklahoma there are so many. They rescue from the slaughter house too. Some have been race horses that have raced and done well but either have broken a leg or just to old to race anymore. I can't believe that people can do this. They use them until they are used up. God love them! Christy

Ellen i love your charities you do amazing work! will you please help me with this charity and watch this 2 minute video! my family is in desperate need of help, my brother is 6 years old, we lost our mother when he was 4 and i dont want him to loose the only home he knows too!! Our prayer goes to the pelope of Gaza. We hope the Egyptian government reconsider and end this problem soon. We are all proud of every single sole who will march INS Dec.28. God Bless you
