My daughter was being bulling on facebook. Someone made profile saying it was her. Talking to only guys saying really bad, nasty things telling them to come over late it night. Some of the guys she knew called her and asked her "what was up with her" She was at work while this person was talking stuff! One guy even when to the old house we use to live and called her and said he was out side waiting. Again she was at work. She was scared for me cause I was home alone. We when to the police and they said they couldn't do anything about it. We are scared and she was so embarrassed. She knows its someone from highschool cause they used the old address where we use to live. She did post on her facebook that it wasn't her and not to believe anything that person was saying. Its not easy as a mother to hear her going through this. And she's not a teen but as a mother it hurts to see your child go through this. People can be so mean and even worst with the internet.

Hello Ellen, Queen Latifah and everyone,
I'm Mary Strable from St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Please take a moment to go to www.facebook.com/youandijustthesame. This will explain my sincere and impactful efforts to end bullying now. Then please contact Ellen and strongly encourage her to have me on her show as soon as possible to tell my story nation wide. I'm a mom and not a celebrity so it is extremely difficult to be heard on my own. I need everyone's help. You won't be disappointed, I promise. Thank you.

hi

Hello Ellen,

I have been trying to go to your show since my birthday September. Applied online in Sept, got this pop quizes about you, I answered and passed, but never received anything to confirm the tickets, but then this junky spam email kept coming from all over the place that I am not aware of, and still coming today. Then I called the phone # on this page, mailbox was full, can't leave a voicemail. As of last week, I tried to apply for available dates for December and January 2011, nothing came up, it won't let me click. So today I decided to drive to your studio from OC by myself, got to the parking lot, they told me that I have to have a ticket, and apply online, and that's 2 months in advance.

What should I do Ellen? I love to be part of your studio audians one day.

Thank you so much

-Bonsue

Ellen, I am a great fan of yours,I watched your show when you first came on TV,and tryed to keep up with you when it went off. You have come a long way after that show and have come through it even stronger. I for one am proud of you, just like Queen Latatifah, I think she is so amazing. She is so wonderful(to me the next Oprah and you the next an up to date Lucy:):) Keep being true to yourself, you an she, and don't let the mean streets of Hollywood (an people) take you down.Come visit my town,New Bern,NC, when you an she an your wife want a small town getaway. God bless you all:):):)

I just listened to Queen Latifa speak about bullying... and it was amazing! Most people don't point out the fact that it lies with the parents ... we need to be aware of how our children treat others, and how they are being treated, as well. I would definitely want to know if my kid wasn't being nice to others, and I most CERTAINLY would say something to a parent of a bully! Parents need to be more involved with their children these days- more aware of the kids' environment because things are VERY different from 20 years ago when I was in school.

We must save the lives of these children. Cyber-bullying isn't "troublesome" as some politicians say. Rather, it is "killing some." How many kids who were physically bullied committed suicide?

Part of the inability to stop the cyber-bullying is due to the massive numbers of kids witnessing the bullying.

The Bystander effect must be turned around so that the social norm changes from being passive to active when it comes to helping bullied kids.

Victims of cyber-bullying need to be taught ways they can help themselves.

Digital abuse can be likened to water torture which actually caused the victims to lose the ability to be rational regarding the possibility of escaping their situation. The victims lost perspective and the mental ability to understand that they could escape their captors.

That's the same reason why so many of these kids with differences thought they couldn't escape the bullies.

ello it is me again, Sue. I think Queen Latifah hit it on the nose. Whenever something is bothering you, never hold it in always share it with someone else, it really takes alot of the burden of the issue away, because now you know you are not in this alone, someone else knows. Ever since I watched "To Save a Life", I emailed my friends, the school. I talked to my children and then whenever a friend of theirs came over I would talk to them. Even a friend of mine who felt it would be better if I nonchalantly talked to her child about it. I like to talk, and I feel I am very good at it. Bullying is horrible. We just have to remind the kids to talk to us, and to remind them that highscholl is 4 years, 4 years out of say 93 years. Once you throw that cap in the air, life really begins, Though those 4 years may seem long at the time, they are not. But if I am ever told of someone that is feeling this burden of being bullied, I will be there for them. If my child was so upset to go to school, then I would find out why, and home school or switch schools if I had too. Even my 25 year old was here with us one day when I was giving my bully lecture and he jumped right in. I had said never ever treat someone bad because they are different or quit or a loner, you have no idea at all what is going on in their life, so instead be there friend, be the protector. So my 25 year jumped in them and said yep think about it Austin(my 11 year old), look at me not only is it nice and caring to be friends with everyone but then you have no enemies becasue you have made friends with everyone. My 25 year old has alot of friends, and he was always the protector, if any of his friends were being hasseled he would always step in, and in most cases try to just make the situation ok, but of course there were times he fought, of course now he works out alot, and works as an EMT and going into medic, he really cares about people, of all ages, he always has. Now I find that my 11 year old is also a protector, and has stood up for his friends when they were picked on, and today with both of my sons, the one that was doing some bullying, is actually their friends and not a bully at all. Sometimes the bully needs help too. I found this out by my son wanting this friend to stay over, and I was like well I thought he was the mean one, and he said he is getting better. And you know what, in this specific case this boy has changed from the mean one. And I know it has to do with being invited into a different atmosphere, and this ppor guy has heard my bully speech alot, and he listens. I just want to help all kids and do the best I can

Hi Ellen!
