MelaninaBeauty Posted on Very cariteve idea!! Makes me want to buy for my uncle's birthday. I'm going to Ebay now! Thank u!!!!

Posted on And the rredaes of most SF overlap with Fantasy which Space Opera has more in common with.

Let me know what you think of the book if you do find it at the lirbary. He wrote a sequel called Indian Affairs that I may or may not read.

I loved the book. I was so surprised because when I saw Portia De Rossi on Ally McBeal, I thought she was so beautiful. Then on Arrested Development, I said "this is the beautiful girl from Ally McBeal". (I can't watch series regularly, only time to time.) And when I saw Portia and Ellen getting married, I said "oh, surely they were both very successful and beautiful, naturally they had found each other." I would never ever have imagined what she suffered and went through. It seems impossible that Portia de Rossi couldn't see how perfect she is at any weight. I found the book inspirational and everybody can find something for themselves. I wish all the happiness to Portia and Ellen.

I want to read this book so much. I've asked the local library 5 times now to try and get hold of it and so far NOTHING. Will get there one day I HOPE lol.

Portia and Ellen are two out the 3 inspirational women I really respect. No one else comes close to them and that's REALITY.

Seasons Wonders to you all,

Be SAFE, Be HAPPY and Be Yourself.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK. Some situations were too close that I felt a rememberance of my own BUT nothing kept me from continuing to read and read until the end when I not only was proud of a person I'd only seen on TV but myself. Without the book being about me It felt as though It was healing me even more than how far I've come this day. Thanks, Great Job, Will never forget this book, and your a true inspiration in my and many peoples eyes. :)

Best book i have ever read!! both Portia and Ellen are amazing i went to get this book from the public library and was put on a waiting list with eightyfive people who wanted to read it!! It was totally worth the wait though

There's not much that I can add to the amazing and spot-on comments that were written before this one, although I have to say on my personal behalf-THANK YOU. Thanks to both of you. Ellen- for loving Portia the way she needs to be loved. But also for being someone Portia can love in return. Portia- For fighting back, for finding love, accepting love, and returning love. You both give me hope that one day I will start fighting back against my disorder so that maybe I will one day find, receive, and give love too. Fingers crossed.

I have adored Portia ever since I saw her in a movie
with Christian Slater. I was so sad to learn she had struggled with an eating disorder like I had (also for 20 years). Having survived the illness, I can laugh now at some of the ridiculous rituals and thoughts that I shared with Portia. Bravo Portia !!

Ellen & Portia, I read Portias' book, I found it a hard read at times, as I'm sure you did also Ellen. I am so happy for you both finding each other, when you did. I think things were meant to work out that way. There didn't seem to be much social times in Portias' life, due to the hiding of her illness, and yes, it is an illness. Those of us who have not had a personal experience with it, find it hard to understand. Never-the-less, I'm glad Portia has finally found her heaven on earth, all due to you Ellen. Much happiness sent your way. Stay healthy and happy. My husband Ron and myself have been married for 48yrs. May 4th., our secret, keep each other laughing!! And as you always say Ellen, be 'kind' to one another...~;p..CHEERS..

This was definitely the best book I have ever read. Although heartbreaking, it's a true reflexion of my own life, besides the fame of course. Absolutely amazing!!Very well done.

Portia, I thought your book was absolutely heartbreaking. I have had annorexia for 20 plus years. I thought yoy were very brave to bear your soul the way you did. I have various food rituals that I would be mortified if anybody found out. I finished the book with a very positive outlook that there can truly be a light at the end of the tunnel, and for that I thank you. Amy, New York.

I just wanted to say that it takes a strong person like Portia/you to share your whole life story with everyone. You Portia are such a beautiful person, when I saw those pictures in the book I couldnt believe what I saw. I enjoyed your book and you will help out alot of people. You have helped me in ways Thank you!!Love You. Valarie Iyoob Carroll

This book deeply touched me. I could relate on so many levels. Written so well, at times if felt like I was just listening to Portia tell her story rather than reading it myself. She should be commended for having the courage to share her emotional, personal journey in the hopes of helping others with theirs. I know she has helped me.

I just finished your book and was very moved by it. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us!

Portia,

All I can say is WOW. What a amazing book, what a journey you have taken.

I don't know if you read these posts, but if you do, I think you should go to schools and speak to all the children about your life.

No one should have to go through what you have and maybe sharing it with kids may help them.

There are no words that can explain how wonderful this book is! I sat down to start reading it the day I got it and could not put it down! This book made me cry, laugh, smile, and hope for a better future! Portia if you ever read this Thank You! By telling your story you have changed so many lives!! :)

Absolutely incredible book. Such an intense combination of fascinating, heartbraking and inspirational. I have recommended it to everyone I know. I have not stopped thinking about this story ever since I finished it 2 days ago. It has truly influenced my life in a positive way. Portia, you are amazing and inspirational.

I just order Portia's book. I was really touched by her interview on Oprah. I suffer horribly from low self esteem. I had cushing's disease for 24 years which took a huge toll on my self image. Now I feel myself slipping into an eating disorder. I need to learn to love myself. I hope her book will help me heal. Thank you Portia for this book.

Carolyn
