Looking into his eyes i see wearyness...his mouth is smiling but i see someone who is tired. i don't know if that is from jet lag or what the cause but for those capable of actually following Jesus' advice, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone', good on you. And for those who haven't developed that insight and understanding you will have chance after chance after chance. Life is wonderful that way. Kanye West...try to learn from your mistakes and rise above them. Some will want to pull you down...some will want to imagine themselves so superior to you but some will recognize we are all only human and struggling to do better each and every day. Bless ya!
There is one human race. There is the concept of race. There is the political reality of racism as seen systemically in all areas of life. If someone is a member of a minority group that person can be logically described as a bigot/prejudiced. To call someone racist that is a member of a minority group is illogical per all sociological and race relations understandings. We can co-opt words and use them as we please but the people who have the greatest degree of political power en masse are still not blacks. That doesn't mean there aren't some black folks with power (Oprah is certainly powerful as is President Obama but these are still the exception and NOT the majority). From the remarks I see directed towards Ellen and towards Kanye West, YES...racism is alive and well in the minds of those who post such hate-filled posts. Look at the way people talk about how Kanye West looks and try to portray him as a 'monster' and then tell yourselves this has nothing to do with race or prejudice.
Provide proof that Kanye West is racist. So far that accusation is completely unsubstantiated by any one making this claim. What he tried to explain is that he is still dealing with the kind of racism that is still evidenced in all arenas of society. Taylor Swift is talented but did she or did she not 'sell' more of her music than Beyonce? Kanye West was rude to interrupt her but he did have a valid point. We still have a ways to go and the struggle against all kinds of discrimination is NOT over.
Yeah...Ellen how DARE you show kindness, respect, and the ability to laugh with someone that other folks want to hate! How can you extend a hand and be forgiving like that? *that's sarcasm btw in case any of the ones who love to hate Kanye West are confused* It is easy to talk about how bad bullying is but given the opportunity to rise above your own prejudices???...all that cheap talk just goes right on out the window. Kanye West isn't the Devil, ok? Get over your own need to feel superior, if you can.
Maybe if Kanye West came on Ellen's show again and threw himself down on his knees, wept endless tears, and then tore out his hair in abject grief...maybe then some folks could just learn to forgive?? It is mindblowing, really mindblowing, to see how quickly some people jump on the anti-bullying wagon one minute and then trash talk another human being the next. Really you haters should see yourselves in a mirror because it might just shock you awake.

Alright, as I was reading through I noticed some people are mad at Ellen. There is no need to boycott Ellen just because she gave him the opportunity to speak about what happened...it is called The Ellen Degeneres Show not The Annoying People with Stupid Opinions Show. Yes he did do something horrible and yes he was most definiatly wrong. But he sounded to me like he was really sory for what he had done and if Taylor isn't holding a grudge why are you?

I think people should just ignore him. Ellen should not have even given him the opportunity to appear on her show. She's above such racist ignorance. Boycott his music (there are enough other good entertainers out there that we can do without him), don't watch his videos, don't watch programs he's on. I agree with the "forgiving" thing, but anybody this racist and downright stupid will do it again eventually. He did the right thing to "hide out". Should have stayed there.
Ellen I watch your show every day.but I'm not sure that will be the case in the future.why would you give this guy a platform to spew his redoric.if this was his only offence I could understand.but this guy loves doing stuff like this.he does it all the time.hearing him spin this thing around to make him look like the victim makes me sick.I think had he done this to your wife you would not be so forgiving.and to tell the truth I don't think anybody wants to see him at the awards anymore.I don't think you did yourself any favor by showing sympathy for this jerk.sorry but I just don't agree with what you have done here.

I don't care for Taylor Swift and I Down Right don't like Kanye West, and I HATE rap, he is an illiterate piece of trash, I don't think this is blowing things out of porportion, I think He humilated that girl on National Television, shes 19 years old for goodness sake!! That was supposed to be amazing for her and she was basically told that as far as he was concerned she wasn't good enough for that award because she isn't black?????? Man, wake up!!!! You need help with your IQ if you don't get this one. It was straight up your fault and the only redemption is to own it -- apologize -- say you've learned from it and that you'll never do anything so moronic moving forward. You've been through a lot. When Ellen started saying "I hope you don't mean that..." I thought she was going to say "I hope you don't really mean that Taylor was undeserving of that award, and Beyonce has won plenty of awards Kanye" but instead she said "I hope you will be in the audience at awards shows again, because we all want to see you there..." and then Kanye grins sheepishly and the audience applauds. I didn't care for Ellen turning it all around at the end like that. Kanye is trying to turn that incident into some kind of cultural purposeful stand he took? The VMA's are a joke anyway, and he and Taylor have the same manager, and maybe the whole thing was a publicity stunt. This appearance on Ellen's show felt like a publicity stunt too for that matter.

What Kanye West did to Taylor Swift is BULLYING! He can make up all the excuses in the world, it still comes down to bullying. Would he have jumped up there on stage if it was someone who could kick his a..? No. If the Ellen show is going to take a stand against bullying, it should not be selective.
