With a show so close to the VMAs, someone was bound to stop by and surprise Ellen. The person ended up being one of the star performers of the night: Usher! Everyone knows he loves Ellen, but no one expected what happened.

Ellen you are such a lucky person to have usher on you like that.I just love usher and my phone rings non stop when hes on tv and what channel.My ringtone on my phone is OMG and all the babies love it including my grandson,when he gets cranky I just pull out the phone and play OMG and he just smiles(hes 6 months old).I just love USHER !!!!!

I am a huge fan and have been since I saw your first appearance on Johnny Carson. My kids and I always watch your show and we were so excited to see your season premiere today. But after your monologue I turned off the show. I was so disappointed in all the sexual references. You don't usually resort to off color remarks in order to get laughs.
You are truly one of the funniest people on the planet and I have always appreciated that you didn't need shock value or dirty comments to make people laugh. The content of your monologue was inappropriate and unnecessary. I will not give up on you. I am still a fan, but please don't go down the easy road of using sexual innuendos to get people to laugh. You are too good for that.
Still a fan, but sure would like to watch your show with my kids.

OMG ...I Loved Usher, in fact I love him so much I named my car after him...It's big, black and sexy and rides like a dream!
