I really want to visit the Gentle Barn, it's such a great organisation. No Animal deserves to be treated badly or to be abused, when I go to The USA (eventually) I will go and visit The Gentle Barn.

You both are the greatest, kindest people, i wish there were more like you, in this world. I love animals & cant understand how anyone, could ever mistreat them. I have a 10 yr. old Queensland', that was my husbands dog...He passed away April 09, iam lost with out him, but she keeps me company & always loves me, she sleeps on the side of my bed. Horses are amazing animals. I used to own 2 Arabians and rode with my disabled son when he was little. I just read on the internet today that the US is now going to be slaughtering horses for meat for human consumption now. I think this is just sickening. Please Ellen and Portia, please use your voice and celebrity to help stop this!!!!!

There are some wonderful organizations that dedicate their lives to the care of injured and unwanted animals such as horses. The fire in their belly and the love and dedication that they feel towards these magnificent creature drives them to rescue horses destined for slaughter and all animals that are in need of care and love. Horses for slaughter are subjected to a horrific death, one that should never be. Horse rescue organizations are unsung hero's and I thank them for standing tall to protect and care for these gorgeous creatures that are discarded so freely. I thank organizations such as Throw Away Ponies, Angel Horse Haven Rescue, Alder Hill Farm and Proud Spirit Horse Sanctuary, just a few to name. You are GOD'S Angels.You bring the joy and life back into GOD'S creatures lives, their gratitude shines through their eyes.
