halo pet winner

Melissa from Auburn, New York sent in this adorable photo of her dogs. She said that for seven years their golden retriever, Lady, has been the best dog ever. They decided to adopt a puppy named Sparky, and soon found the two sharing this tender moment. We love this photo so much, we chose it as this week's Halo Pet Photo. Melissa will get a $100 gift card for Halo pet products. Lady and Sparky will love it!

Ellen I love you and your show and everything good you do for people and animals. What I don't understand is how you are vegan, yet you did a commercial for cover girl?? Cover girl products and their parent company Proctor and gamble test on animals! How can you love animals so much and yet endorse a product that cruelly and barbarically tests on them?? This makes me disappointed and sad :(

Such a cute moment, bet they will be good mates.

Awwwwww! So cute. I had a golden for 13years and they are the best!!

Too cute! It has been the year for strays this year and our county does not have a shelter, so I am the proud owner of two adorable new kittens. The white one came first. I named him Simon, cause everyone did what ever he said. One of his first evenings here my black standard poodle Sadie (Princess M'lady Sadie so her monogram is PMS) pushes the little white kitten right into her food bowl. We thought "aww, how cute is that?" Then it hit me that she might be covering her actions so that later she could tell me "Well, your always telling me to eat everything in my bowl!"
Then 10 days later a tiny little black Bombay wandered in (he was no bigger than the palm of your hand, and isn't much bigger now) So naturally his name had to be "Garfunkle".

I totally agree with Keith. The golden's lips are puffed and slightly pulled back. It's not a tender moment. She is asserting her dominance and telling the little one to behave himself or else!

LOL, did anyone else look at the body language of those dogs? the older dog has erect ears and looks to be growling, while the puppy has laid back ears, its called assertion of dominance not a cuddly nose kiss.

this is sooooo cute. im totally fond of dogs..!! and this really trills me...
