I have adopted cats including strays and do get them spayed and neutered. I usually take care of 15 to eighteen cats myself for past 12 years, but I've been laid off for 4 years and can't afford as much care as I used to. I for 1st time have a problem fleas and now tapeworms in house. Just would like to see somekind of help out there for having to take of so many pets for individual families every month alone I spend $300 on food and litter and then throw in flea drops and now tapeworm for 18 cats. The discount meds. are still too expensive. I live in Ohio and can't find any help especially for these meds.

Great blog. It's nice to see such an accurate articulation. Keep up the good work!

Nice blog!! keep up the nice style, it's nice to see writer's like you these days

This is very true, I bought some frontline from an internet pet med site. I bought it for my three cats, it cost me over $65.00. I treated my cats with it, and it did not work. In fact my one cat got worse. She started to chew herself so much that her hair fell out, she had scabs all over her body. And almost lost all her hair on but & tail. I took her to the vet and he said she had a fle algery.I said I treated her with fromtline a month ago, and thats when he told me about the med's over the internet are not safe. My poor cat got worse because I treated her and I thought the fleas would die, but they did'nt. So I will never buy fle med's or any other meds over the internet ever again.

just one thing you get what you pay for if it sounds to good to be true or you want to skimp on your pets?????????????????????????? would you use a idem you don't know about on your self ? come on if your pet is like mine witch i hope they are pleas go to vet you can't go wrong thank you craig ps.vets might be a little higher but do your skimping some where else pleas for your pets sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom and I have three rescued pets, two dogs and a cat. We love them unconditionally. There has been times when we ran out of dog food and my mom shared her food with them. My mom's mobility is limited due to her disability and her SSI check just barely covers our expenses. Misty battled kennel-cough as a puppy, lost her left hine leg when she got hit by a car and is now losing her hair because she is allergic to fleas. We have treated the dogs but they keep getting them from our yard. My mom is trying to save money to treat the yard,. the house and get the dogs flea medicine and antibiotics for Misty. I am hoping you can suggest an organization that can help us. We had to make a choice between cable or internend

I have ordered large and small animal meds from Jeffers Vet Supply for 30 yrs. I have been very satisfied. This yr I tried to save money by shopping online. I found companies that only sell frontline and Advantage for about half the price. I started to order some advantage than a light went off like you get what you pay for. Plus the company name sounded like a software company. I decided to pay the extra. I'm glad I did!

We were just at the vets a few weeks ago and I was asking about ordering pet meds online. They have some places they recommend and some they won't recommend. I know the vet is more expensive but why take a chance...especially on the heartworm meds. Some places have the exact same packaging but the medicine is NOT medicine!!! My Boston is worth paying a little more and being sure!

Thanks, Ellen, for caring about our pets!

We use 1-800-PetMeds and trust them completely. We buy most of Hannahs meds via her vet and through Cornell University where she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia but we do buy her Cosequin through Pet Meds and I have noticed that they do require prescription's from your vet for certain products and that they are inspected just like any other vet.

I just ordered some stuff from Budget Pets, but I am 68, retired and havbe 5 dogs. I do take them to the Vet, but thestuff there is expensive and i am retired so I thought I would try this way, well, I don't think it works, my small ones still have fleas and I gave them that monthly dose of stuff. Just thought I would give u heads up on that bunch!
Thanks!

Thank you so much for posting this. It is a frequent topic discussed with pet owners but unfortunately, many believe the people in the Veterinary field are passing along false information just to pad our wallets. Educating clients can be an exhausting battle but having someone that is out in the media helping us to spread such vital information is a great help!
