I agree with Ms. Rachelle, Julie Anne San Jose (or simply JAPS to us) is another great talent from the Philippines. She's young(17), pretty, has an amazing voice,(multitalented) can play several musical instruments, can act and she has that undeniable charm too. Hope you'll invite her to your show Ms. Ellen. I am proud to be a Filipino. If you search for good singers, browse YouTube and there are a lot of Filipinos there. If you also have time, try searching for Party Pilipinas or ASAP XV or their home network GMA Pinoy TV and TFC Channel. You singers too like Julie Anne San Jose and Jude Matthew Servilla are great! I really like Julie Anne another powerful voice like Charice.

Isn't Regine Velasquez a little too old though? I mean use the show to discover young, hip, new talent... not someone who has obviously already established herself in the Philippines. Regine is a good singer, sure! But she's not something the crown would want to see. She already has legions of fans. Besides, why would America care to see Mariah-Carey-wannabee when they can have the real deal?

I believe that many Filipinos and Asian people know her cuz she is also known as the Asia's Songbird.Please let her sing in your show and let her voice be heard there in USA. Ms. Regine Velasquez will be celebrating her 25th year anniversary next year. She already had duets with Brian McKnight, Michael Legrand and so many more. As an avid fan of her, we would love to see her in your show soon! I hope you grant our wish Ellen. Thank you so much for making every Filipino proud of who and what they are. How bout an average Joe from Lexington, KY...I have a video I posted on youtube.com...Would love to be on Ellen's show. I sing, I'm a published author, of a book that went to the Golden Globes in the gift bags...I think I am an interesting person...I watch her every day and I think I am just as everyday amazing as the people I see on there...Google me and youtube me...Thanks for your time...(a little piece of Trivia...i also was the first black female called by Ed McMahan to sing on the original Star Search because I also write and sing country....)

I agree! It's really hard to ajdsut with food regardless of how long you live outside the Phils. I live in US for almost 7 years (and 3 yrs in Canada) and we'll be going back there next year,but I don't know when I could finally accept that having pizza or burger for dinner is ok bec I always need my rice
