Hi Ellen and all,
I am a fellow parent with two teenage kids. I am also a classroom teacher of more than thirty years, see www.coolclass.ca.
Shortly after the deadly school shootings over a decade ago at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado and a copycat shooting not far from where I live in Alberta, Canada, I decided to take action against bullying. Since that time I created the educational organization, Bullying.org.
As a parent and educator, I would like to share four Websites I have created that seek to prevent bullying through education and awareness. I hope that they may be of help, information and support to others.

WOW. COLIN BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. I WORK AT A MIDDLE SCHOOL & I SEE BULLYING ALL THE TIME AND NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT IT. MY DAUGHTER GETS BULLIED, AND SHE IS AN AMAZING GIRL WHO VOLUNTEERS HER TIME TO MANY ORGANIZATIONS. WHY ARE PEOPLE SO CRUEL, ESPECIALLY TO THOSE THAT WANT TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE????? PLEASE POST COLINS LETTER ON-LINE. I FEEL IT NEEDS TO BE THE HUGEST BANNER IN EVERY SCHOOL AROUND THE WORLD. YOU ARE AMAZING COLIN & ELLEN. :)
I am so happy that this problem is surfacing ....and STRONG. Can't tell you how many beatings not only physical, but emotional & mental my Son has taken....and survived.The schools did nothing, nothing real or effective. He is a kind, soft soul. How could anyone treat another with such hate. Because he is different, a singer , entertainer, songwriter & producer & a former American Idol contestant. He is known..and it doesn't have to be that you're gay....just that you are different...

My Son's songs reflect his pain and hopefully he can have a part of changing the world in this department forever. He is still alive...and has something to say~sing :) Both of my Son's defend difference...and the right to be who you want to be. And I back them %100.

Dear Ellen, I would be so grateful to have a copy of Colin Farrels statement on bullying!!!!My good friend is a Jr High teacher who I'm sure could spread this message to alot of students and I myself thought it was so touching and AMAZING!!! I watch your show every day possible and today's show really touched my heart. I have a son that we adopted from Romania. He is 13 now and is quite a handsome young man. He is bullied at school all of the time. He has absolutely no friends. I have done a couple of things to try to stop it but nothing seems to work. It just breaks my heart. On the weekends he sits alone in his room either on his computer or playing games. If the other kids only knew what they were doing to him and others that they bully. Do you think that you could have a show on bullying? I would do my best to come and bring him. I think that it would show kids that there are people out there that do care and show them that people think that the people that are bullying are doing wrong. At least a little bit of help for them anyway? Colin's statement that he made on your show brought me to tears and I would love a copy of it. I would have it posted at the school. Thank You Ellen for being such a caring and giving person. The things that you do for people is truly a gift from your heart.

First of all I Love watching you everyday, you make my day no matter what mood im in you make me laugh and sometimes cry. I loved Colin Farrell's comment on bullying so many teens and adults commit suicide because of it, I wish he would put that saying on T-Shirts and everyone everywhere would wear them.

I was awed when Colin Farrell read his statement about bullying. I watched a show last night (5/27)
called Glee. I had never seen it before and they had a tribute(think) for Lady Gaga and several of the groups were dressed in her different styles of outfits that she wears. There was a segment where 2 people with their own children and were {I believe} getting married and ggoimg to be family. One of the boys was gay and the other not. I dont know there names, but the gay boy fixed up a bedroom in the basement for the other boy and showed hit it, and the boy was ranting about not liking the room, was absolutely beautiful for a girl. I myself loved it. The father of the gay boy came down and really stood up for his son and said that the boy could not live there and he had to move. The father didn't rlike the idea him being gay but he loved his son enough to let him live his life as he wanted. Then when Colin read that letter, it was like wow,thank you Colin for those words. It just fit perfectly. Thanks again Sandra Szente
I think Colin's statement was wonderfully awesome!!!! I'm not gay but I totally give all my support, especially since my daughter is bi-sexual. People are people no matter what sexual preference they are and bullying must stop. I hope some viewers will be more educated on this important issue.

Hi Ellen, As always I love your show, Its awesome to have Colin Farrels to speak of bulling which I believe they all just need to be Step on with a Big Foot at times but!!, that isn't the way either.

this is the most up lfiting thing i have heard in a long time. i'm a gay teen and im actually in the middle of decideing what to do about the fact that i am bullied/harrasssed at work for being gay. just wanted to say it brought tears to my eyes thinking someones trying to help me and others who are stuck. I am so grateful for you and your show Elen idk if you read these but i hope you do. you have helped me and i cant explain how grateful i am that someone is trying to help stop whats been happening to me for about 9 months!

Hi Ellen, i just wanted to tell you that it is just great what you are doing. Actually, i am someone who does tolerate inequality and hate bullying. I think those who bully others are real sick people and should be arrested by the law.
