He was born and raised in Sydney, Australia.

He was chosen as one of People's 50 Most Beautiful People for 5 years in a row from 2000-2004.

He's hosted the Academy Awards once, and the Tony Awards 3 times -- and one year won an Emmy for it.

He was considered to play the new James Bond, but the role went to Daniel Craig.

In April he announced he would donate $100,000 to one of his Twitter followers' favorite charity. He ended up donating $50,000 each to the Charity: Water and Operation of Hope organizations.

Hugh Jackman was sooooooooooooooo hot in AUSTRALIA with Nicole Kidman, I can't beleive both of them didn't get Oscars for that movie.

Ellen I love you show and I willing to pay you $100.00 to come and see you at Orlando I just want to see you up on closed, I live in GA and I'm willing to drive 8hrs to come and see you but I want to be on first row with my husband and 2 more tickets to brings my sister in law who is try to get divorce and she needs some vacation and my friend Kin please make it happen I love you Ellen.

I watch a lot of TV, probably much more than I should, but I never get involved with the shows and their websites. Your show however has really blessed my and made me want to right you to say how much I enjoy watching you. I really enjoy seeing the people get helped by you and it feels like I'm a part of it just by watching. Thank you for making TV so enjoyable:-)!

OMG I love your show!!! My husband hears everyone screaming and laughing and crying and he just can't believe that people really act like that on public television. I love the energy and the fun.
But most of all, I love to see Ellen helping people in Need. Ellen, it is just too wonderful to see someone in your position that is so generous and giving. Best of everything to you too. Or as you put it, right back at you.
