HI ONLY NOW DID I SEE CRYSTAL SWING ON YOUR SHOW AND THEN READ THE REVIEWS/COMMENTS ON YOUR PAGE,I JUST HAVE TO SAY IN A WORLD THAT CAN BE VERY DARK AT TIMES TO PEOPLE INCL A LOT BOF IRISH PEOPLE AT HOME IN IRELAND,CRYSTAL SWING ARE A LOT OF FUN AND FULL OF CRAIC THAT ARE NEEDED THESE DAYS AND I HOPE YOUR COUNTRY ENJOY THEM AND THE CRAIC THEY BROUGHT TO YOUR SHOW
There is approximately 6 million people in Ireland that information is correct, what was shown on the map was only the Republic of Ireland, many Irish people from the North and even the South would be cross with ye Ellen because we consider what was shown to be misinformation the whole of Ireland (North of Ireland/Northern Ireland) and "Republic of Ireland" when st patrick was about, was one and is celebrated as such.
APART FROM THAT great wee show, am enjoying all the wee bits of craic, hope to bring a wee bit of ye to Eagles Rock for a wee festival called "glasgowbury" which is on its 10 year :)
Oh my God...Crystal Swing! America do not be fooled into thinking us Irish are a nation of hucklebuckling loolaaa's. We are a country as modern as any other and do not know where Crystal Swing popped out of. I think my gran might like them but no self respecting person under 80 would. There are more comedy than showband..they have great voices but its all a bit o.t.t.. like there are performing on a children's tv show or that they are puppets on strings
I enjoyed the song and the band !!! It's about time we had some family entertainment !!!

hey helen im daniel and i live in ireland and i thought youre st patricks day show was absolutly brilliant,like all of youre other shows.Showing true irish culture on youre show it was amazing!! :):)
Nice to see Crystal Swing gt a little airplay, but have you seen the Dublin drag queens spoof of them? Even funnier.
Whats rather amusing is I lived for a few years in the town they are from and actually that area is quite cosmopolitan compared to other parts of county Cork. However there are parts that might as well be stuck in the 1970s!
Well, I've never done this before so bear with me. First let's get one thing out of the way. I am NOT a tween. I am a 48 year old, college educated professional and I am an American Idol ADDICT. To me AI is like a drug. I can't get enough. What keeps me coming back? The sheer thrill of watching week after week as a totally raw, undeniably talented kid blossoms into a star before my eyes. I'm talking Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Fantasia, Clay Aiken, and Alex Lambert. I will not deny that you have some good singers on the show at the moment. But I can see better singers almost anywhere. These are people who know who they are and are confident in the abilities. People like Lee Dewyze, Didi Benami, Casey James and Crystal Bowersox have been performing for years and they are great. But they don't give me the thrill I'm looking for. I want to see the look on someone's face when they surprise themselves with their talent.
I see potention in Alex Lambert that I don't see in any of the other contestants this year. Yes, I was disappointed that he was voted off. Shocked even. But my heart was completedly broken when YOU and FOX did not seize the opportunity to bring him back as a 13th finalist. You know how talented he is. His potential is huge. I was prepared for a great season. I absolutely could not contain my excitement about seeing what he was going to do next. I feel like I have been ROBBED. I'n not going to see him each week. I'm not going to download his songs. I'm not going to talk about him the next day at work. All we talked about this week at work was how boring the show was Tuesday night. I'm so hurt.
I have seldom ever actually voted for anyone on AI. But I voted for him. I have never downloaded any AI songs from itunes, but I downloaded his. I have never twittered or blogged or signed an online petition. But I did for him. And I have never written to TV show before in my life, but I had to communicate the total disappointment I feel this year in American Idol. AI is my drug of choice and when the negative side effects outweigh the thrill it's time to give it up. The thrill is gone, and so am I.
OMG!!! Crystal Swing, I watched them on the Late Late show and laughed because I really though it was a joke for Paddy's festival but OMG!!! They are a real band!!! =O
God help us all if thats the latest in Irish entertainment!!!

Ellen, I would love to comment on Rita Claus as I to have a mother that has Altziemers. She never knows who you are but she does laugh alot sometimes at you. My husband and I take care of her and she is 89 years old and will be 90 in June. Sometimes it is hard but God and alot of prayer helps. Just wanted to let Rita know she is not along. Thanks Linda

Since when did Ireland gain 2 million people?
I live in Limerick, Ireland and am pretty sure that 4.5million is the official population of the Republic of Ireland
