Hey Ellen! I'm a senior in High school in Indiana. Every year we hold a dance marathon to raise money for a local children's hospital, Riley's Children Hospital. A friend of mine was diagnosed with leukemia. And spent many months at that hospital. Many students at my school have spent time there, including myself. We would really appreciate it if you could help make our dance marathon a huge success and help us help children Hospital that are patients at Riley's. The event is on March 17th. It would mean a lot to all of us and all of the children if you could help us better the lives of those only trying to survive this christmas season. We love you Ellen! Please help us!

This letter is not for a hand out, but it is for advice. I've been lead to starting an adult diaper business, but I was told that most nursing homes buy more than just the diapers. They buy all their products from the same vendor. I don't know how my business will get started. I have no clue. I've never had a business before, but this is what I heard from the Lord. I know that he's going to make a way for it to happen. You see, I was a drug addict for twelve years, from 1991 to 2003. The Lord set me free. I'm now working on my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology/ Substance Abuse. The Lord called me as my Pastor's Armor Bearer. This is a very small town, with not many opportunities. I want so much to help the ministry. I need a financial increase so that I can properly take care of my family. I want this business. Hi Ellen I love your show on how you help people. I volunteer at a church giving out food and clothing for the homeless people and i love helping people. I'm trying to help my soon to husband family for a makeover on there home i wrote a letter to Abc Extreme makeover home edition and i sent the Application and video. Dear Ellen I'm writing you about my good friend Jackie she's a good person and would help anyone she can. But now the tables have turn now that she needs help there is no one to help her. She has been struggling since her husband passed away in 05. Every check she gets from work goes right to rent and has no money for bills. She is so far behind in rent. Her gas was shut off her water is about to be shut off and cable and phone was shut off and almost lost her house to sheriff sale.her car broke down and could not get it fixed so she junked it. Dear Ellen. My name is Brody Slotnick and I am only 18 months old. Yes, I am a prodigy (hopefully, you'll have me on your show because I'm very good with the ipad and can demo some of my fave aps). I also have the uncanny ability to type (pretty cool, eh? - that kid that can rattle off dead presidents has nothing on me!) Anyway, each day when straddle the coffee table when you dance, you make me laugh so hard, I barf up my milk all over the floor and mommy curses you out (but in a nice way). Here's the thing, my Granny lives near Atlantic City NJ and helps old folks. Sometimes I'm in the car with her and her old folk buddies. They make funny faces at me and tickle me. I try to make them smile too. Myrna, my mom-mom, has lived a modest life, always sacrificing something for someone. She has no hubby, no siblings and no parents - so I'm sorta a big deal. Someone hit her car recently...they were texting (obviously not an Oprah fan) Thankfully granny's okay, but her car was totaled and she doesn't have a lot of money to buy a new one - one that's safe for me! The kid who hit her had no insurance. Ugh! I feel like barfing on him...I digress...anyway. Is there anything you can do as she is a professional caregiver and does senior care for many older folks in our community. She takes her clients to doctor's appointments, to the store, for a haircut, or anywhere they want to go. She handles there medicare paperwork and also helps them with nutrition. She's a great talker and listener. We're in dire straights (whatever that means) and this no car thing has paralyzed many people who depend on granny. Granny is 66 and has lived a good, clean life. If there is anyway you could help her I would be so so so grateful. I would personally give you a big, wet sloppy kiss. By the way, you rock - Who needs Barney!
