Ellen, you are a great person. You help so many people in need, which is a valuable asset in this world any more. I am a mom of two I have a boyfriend for the last five years. We would like to get married, but can not afford it. I recently lost my job and like so many others with the economy the way it is, it's been very difficult to find a new one. We have been slowly remodeling our 1961 trailer house to have a decent place to live, but that takes lots of money. We haul our water and have no swear, so we use an out house. I know there are so many people out in the world to help, but if you can feel it in your heart to help my family it greatly appreciated. God bless and keep up the good work. Jamie fish

Hi Ellen, I think it is wonderful what you did for this woman and her family. You are a caring person and you should be commended for all that you do for people. In reading these comments, I truly hope that people do not take advantage of your generosity by saying how bad off they are and all. Everyone is having hard times right now with the economy and such (I too have been recently laid off from my job)but I take it with a grain of salt. Now I get to stay home and take care of my home and family and watch your show which I think is great. I just want to let you know your generosity does not go unnoticed. Have a great day :)

it is a wonderful thing that you do for these folks that are in need but from what i have noticed most of these people have beautiful homes with jobs it is unfortunate for me and my family that i i am only on unemployment and live in a rented house and soon to be evicted i just hope writing this post doesn't make me out to be a bad person its just that i am really despite for help thank you for listening and god bless love the show keep up the good work and things you do

hi ellen, i just wanted to say thank you. thank you for being you. there has never been a day that i don't smile after watching your show, and being a single mom it can get crazy. i'm writing on behalf of my daughter; kinda sorta. she is nine and she loves george lopez, i have looked everywhere online to see if i could write something to him or find a fan club. we haven't had a good time around here lately i was recently in the hospital and she is 9 - well she thought i was going to die. as i was leaving to go to the emergency room she said mommy i know your gonna die, now grant you it was serious but she is so dramitic - but it broke my heart. It was very scarey for all of us... when i got out of the hospital she bought me a silver cross to wear with one diamond in it that she paid for with her own money. i never take it off, anyways, she watches his show every night before she goes to bed she has done this for as long as i can remember she is actually who introduced that show to me. we all have our shows that we watch. i watch your show after they go to school, she watches george before bed and my teenager watches the american life of a teenager or something like that. i would just like to do something nice for her any help would be greatly appreciated. by the way i love your wedding pictures, the are beautiful, and i will be sending in my pic for your world domination. thank you, god bless and be safe

Everytime I watch your videos when you make a surprise call to someone, the moment they start screaming knowing it was you who's calling, my tears just starts flowing, knowing that you gave them hope in their lives and brought joy is just so amazing!!!

Im from the Philippines and watching your show just makes my day complete! I'd only wish your helping hand could reach our country so that my parents could also experience the LIFE that they should be or supposed to be having right now.

My father(Ernie Alfonso) is turing 61 this thursday, he's been unemployed for a long time now, and my mother(Bing Alfonso-58y/o) is a stroke victim and she's half paralized on her left side. His credit cards which he uses to buy for both of their daily basic needs at home and their medicinal maintenance were all on hold since they dont have money to pay for their monthly bills, all my father does now is trying to sell their personal stuff, from computers, furnitures, appliances and now(hopefully not) the house and lot where they're living at right now just to survive all the hardships.

Me on the other hand have my own family now, am really trying my best to support them as long as I could. I'm just sad to see them like this, and wish that I could see them old but with happy faces and not see them worrying anymore with what's gonna happen on the days to come.

Dear Ellen,
I also live in Fl. Your show today hit home hard.
We are all having a difficult time in our community. I live on the Space Coast in Port St. John and as we know, as bad as things are they will be worse when the Space Shuttle program ends in September and 7000 employees start looking for work where ever it can be found. All that said, I am not writing for me. I am writing for my daughter. Every time we see one of shows where you help out a family in need, we both look at each other and say, why can't that happen to us? So I thought it won't happen if I don't let someone know there is a need. My lovely daughter worked as a steward on a private yacht when she met and had a relationship with a fellow employee. 1 year and 1/2 later she is living with us and has a beautiful 8 month old son. She started back to school as soon as she moved back home and will be going thru the nurses program, soon. We have been helping as much as we can but things aren't that great for us either. She has not yet received any child support. She desperately needs a safe vehicle and although she is going to school on grants and school loans, she needs more help then we can give.
