I am sorry i am so beside myself i forgot to memtion that i watch your show every chance i get and i think you are the most thoughtful and genours woman i have seen. my daughter could use a friend like you. she just found out her 4 year old has lukimia and she has no car and works at the tastee frezee to support 3 kids. she has a husband but he can't seem to keep a Job i am hopeing the tragady will wake him up and he can do better for them
i watched the show this day and i was crying myself theres so many single mothers out there..including me,,and i no first hand how difficult it can be financally its so amazing to see ellen help i no if i was thoes wemon id still be thinking its a dream,,your lucky,enjoy it ,you deserve it ,,,

This one really hit the old heart strings!!! I teared up!!! You are an absolutely fabulous person Ellen with the biggest heart! It's good to know there are still genuine people out there with sincere hearts that will do wonderful things for others. So many of us without the means to do those things are touched by someone who is so giving of everything they have. I love what you do for people and I love your care and concern for animals as well. Sometimes animals don't get the help they need either :( I wish more people would follow your lead!! :)

Ellen thank you for being my ray of sunshine everyday of the week. My moyher always told us when we were growing up that god only gives you what you can handle I always teased her back and said I could handle alittle more but never got it because someone needed it more than i did. I'm disabled know can't work any more but I live on a small check each month as long as my rent is paid and my utilities are paid what the heck you are my pot of gold Monday-Friday THANK YOU

While I am always moved by your generosity, I did have second thoughts about the Jackie & Rebecca gift. Jackie took a risk and took money out of her 401k, incurring penalties and tax implications on top of reducing her retirement fund by 10k. So in giving each girl 10k Jackie is repaid her loan, but not the taxes and penalties incurred in this type of withdrawal and Rebecca is "forgiven" her debt AND given an additional 10k. So in essence Jackie is now out her taxes and fees, but can replace the loan amount but Rebecca was given 10k from Jackie and an additional 10k from Ellen. So she (Rebecca) is up 20k. And Jackie is the one who was the hero in all of this. ? ? ? The only way to make this fair is for Rebecca to give her 10k to Jackie, she is already up 20k. Just my opinion.
I dont need a hand out it is more of a hand up we would pay intrest . The thing is my partner and I are in a home with my two daughters one with child and the other in high school. I have had two fires in rentals and now love the house we are in but can not get a lone. we both work and can prove we pay rent on time every month. I have been sick a times a year and a half ago. Have med bills and now bad credit.We need a bigger place and want to keep this one for older daughter and son[she is by-poller] needs help but needs own place to grow.We moved my brother who has MS here so we can help him alittle.will pay morgage plus intrest.
Thanks for what you did for these ladies. I am on a very fixed income and my parents make sure my kids get what they need since I became disabled. I have a close friend that is a single parent and doesn't have anyone to help her. I have always included her daughter in the things I do with my kids, so she doesn't miss out. I wish more people were like you.Just something small can truly make a difference.
Ellen, you are absolutely amazing! I had tears filling my eyes when I watched this video. As with many of your viewers in need, I bet they would have been ecstatic with only the sweatshirts!

I have never been able to watch your show until a month ago as I broke my leg (on the ice and snow of SD). Instead of teaching future teachers at our local university, I have had to rest, heal and watch tv.
I want you and your whole show to know what a wonderful inspiration you are to me. You do what you can to bring joy and happiness.
I have tears in my eyes whenever you give people $$, cars, whatever...thank you and know that I consider you a hero as a positive role model. Keep it up dear (& crew)!

Hi Ellen that is very very nice of you to do the things that u do I am asking for some help as well I am on a fixed income and have scolosis there are of lot of things i need and would like to have so i can upload a picture to u i can watch u on a bigger tv i i can't go on a vacation because i can't afford it i can't buy a new tv can't afford it my check pays for all my bill and i am broke the same day as i get it so it would be nice if u can help me my birthday is March 24
Hi Ellen.It is nice that your helping people but there are people that do not have digital cameras to download a picture of themselves to enter your contest like me.Now i need help too.I don't have any debt or anything but i am trying very hard to get out of my sisters apartment and try to get my own.It's to find a job now and i just need a little help.Thank You.

I'm a single father who doesn't have it easy to make ends meet myself. I grew up poor but with a two loving parents who sacrificed everything they could to make sure we were kept fed, sheltered, and happy. I thank God for that. I'm also a victim of abuse, emotionally, verbally, and mentally. Very horrible experiences and I pray that no one experiences what I've had to. Men are abused too. It's true, we are out there. It's not right for one human being to abuse another, it doesnt' matter if it's a man abusing a woman or a woman abusing a man, etc. It is heartwarming when unfortunate people are blessed with the kindness and compassion of others. Well done; it is gratifying to see that there is good in this world.
