2/26/2010 Dear Ellen, I am an ART teacher in Pasco County, Florida. I have watch American Idol for years, and presently enjoying your contribution to the show. Since you have become part of the judging panel and become a foursome , it has inspired me to design a front panel for a T-Shirt promoting The American Idol Show with the back design addressing American Idol Gives Back To Haiti. Please at least let me show you the design, I know it will BLOW YOU AWAY!!!! Please contact me so I can meet with you to share this wonderful project, that I know will RAISE money for the Haitian people. Thank You For Your Time. Enjoyably Yours Bruce

Hi Ellen. My sister is having an all you can eat pancake breakfast on March 13,2010 at The Gold Coat Inn in Leander TX. Do you think you could mention it on your show on Fri, the 12th. I think the turnout would be phenomenal. I know it doesn't hurt to ask. You do a lot of great things for people and I relize that this is just one of the many efforts being put forth to help Haiti. So if you can great and if not I love you anyway.

Hey Ellen,
My boyfriend has a box of brand new jeans that he was going to use to start a clothing store and his plans fell through. We would like to donate them to the children of Haiti but need a legit organization or place to send them too. Maybe you can Help????
Thanks,
Tracey

Dear Ellen,
At the risk of sounding like a terrible person,(I am not), I would just like to speak my mind. I know that Haiti has suffered I am a 50 year old diabled American,Born and raised here, and fight every day to make it. I know that Haiti has suffered more devistation that one can imagine. I have but one Question... What about THE U.S.A.? What about our starving children, our Seniors, our Veterans, our people that can't afford thier medication. Do they consider that we still have people, from our own devistating hurricanes that still have no homes, no help, no hope! Who has or will step up for our own people? If we would put forth just a fraction of this effort for our own, our United States of America would be a much better country. Just my opinion.
Thanks for the opportunity, Kim
Perry,Oh.

Hi... I posted a comment here about 2 weeks ago. It's actually more of a letter. I understand that any comment made would be subject for approval before it's actually shown here. I've been checking the website and and I'm guessing my letter did not get the approval that it needs. I'm disappointed and saddened by this. I don't know if there's a criteria for comments to be able to gain approval. I guess coming from a far far away place, I just didn't make the cut. I really hoped that Ellen would be able to read my letter. I guess I got my hopes high too soon.

Hi Ellen,
My friend, Ellen, and I created a way for students to help people of Haiti. Art classes, schools and other groups across the United States and Canada have embraced our project and are creating "Haiti House" pins - tiny houses that make a BIG difference! As of today, the sales of the pins (they sell for $5 each) by schools all over the United States have generated over $43,000 and the project is growing every day! All proceeds are donated to organizations that are providing relief to Haiti.

Go to http://www.haithouses.com to see directions and a movie on how to create the pins. This is a simple project that uses scrap materials but has a HUGE impact! On the plus side, students are able to experience the "power of art"!

Hey Ellen! Love the show, love you and all the good you do! My husband and I are finally finishing up our long awaited adoptions from Mexico and saw your show with the sisters talking about the orphans in Haiti. We would love to learn more about the orphans. We do not feel like our family is complete yet and we were actually considering Haiti before the earthquake. We would love to get in contact with someone who has information about the children who still need homes. Any help you can give us would be great!
Thanks,
Brynn UT

hey ellen i have an idea about how you could raise more money for the haiti fund. Why not take photos of yourself and the audience member and sell to them for 10.00 and 15.00 if you sign. i know that if that were offerd to me i would jump for the chance to have a signed pic of you and me(kinda how you felt with opra)

thank you for the time
valerie

Ellen, I have been planning to adopt a child for awhile now and can't help but think that he or she is in Haiti right now. I want with all my heart to take a child from the poverty and chaos that they are surrounded by now and provide them with a happy, healthy and supportive home. I know you have many families who are willing to adopt the wonderful children that have been brought over from Haiti. I pray that it works out that you may have the child that was meant for me.
