Video of the Day: Gordon Ramsay's Own Kitchen Nightmare

Chef Gordon Ramsay stopped by to teach Ellen a new recipe, and ended up teaching everyone a valuable lesson on kitchen safety! Most importantly: knives are sharp and can cut fingers... even Gordon's.

Ellen is amazing! I just can't believe Gordon cut himself. Oh well, accidents do happen when they are bound to happen. - Carol

So funny! That is what he gets for eating a Puffin.

You two played that off really well. Gordon was tough as nails about the whole thing and Ellen was quite the nurturer. Keep up the good work, you both are just great to watch. Love you both!

The tramp comment was absolutely hilarious!
...and while this isn't relevant to the video, I agree that it is a sofa and not a couch...and enjoyed the show as a Scottish fan :)

Love you and Love your show!!! You make me laugh and i thank you for that because these days a laugh makes my day a lot easier.
I thought the comment about Gordon's daughter was so funny and he took it well . I know it was not meant to be as rude in any which way shape or form. I think some people are taking it way tooooooo far..... it was a joke people!!!

I love Ellen and love the show. However, I thought the comment about Gordon's daughter was disasteful and rash. I don't believe it was meant to be as rude as it sounded. I think Ellen should issue an apology.

P.S. We all still love you Ellen.

Hi Ellen. Seriously, can Gordon come to Atlanta, and cook some risoto (sp), and I'd love to be a guest! I watch all the shows he's on, he's amazing. I just can't cook as fast as he can, and luckily, I still have all my fingernails! Good job on Idol tonight, I waffled a bit on the ladies, I don't think they lived up to Simon's hype! You were "great" (to use your term, as you used that word to sum up a few of the performances). I have to DVR your show here in ATL, due to I work all day,so I never see it "live". Also, I wish ATL would pick a time slot for you, and stick to it! I didn't get today's show DVR'd, so I caught the clips on your web page (thank you for keeping us aware!). All the best...........Pat

I was UPSET with the Ellen Show today. I was ashamed for being a FAN!!
The comment about Gordon's 11 year old daughter being a tramp was so LOW and not even funny!!
Ellen was speaking of an 11 year old little girl for heavens sakes!!
Sure Gordon can be brutal on people, but he deals with ADULTS who have to BUCK UP..........but to call a little girl a TRAMP??? Come on, stick to funny, not discusting!!!

So the god does bleed? Ellen brought the human out of Gordon. Very good, yes? Love the bit with Ellen opening the bandaid with the knife. :)kudos

So I am watching your show, with my 2 year old Grandson. He likes to watch for the music and to see you dance. He sees Gordon. This is the conversation we had. Blake: Meme that man has booboo. Me: I know Blake: Wha Hap end. Me: He cut his finger. Blake: Oh Nooo what he goin do, he need bamdaid. Oh elden get him one. He be better now. Me: yes he will. Blake: that good, me no like booboo! To cute. He is such a sweetie always worrying about other people. Thanks for the great shows. You make me laugh all the time!

Hey Ellen! I just bought a "short person" couch & a"short person" recliner. I went in the store telling the salesman that I needed a couch and recliner that my feet touched the floor and my back touched the back of the seat. Because when you're 4'11 it doesn't really happen that often! I think he thought I was nuts!We enjoyed a good laugh when you talked about it today! By the Way it is couch not sofa!LOL!!
