Thank you for one more crucial peorrt. Where else could everyone get that form of data in such a comprehensive way of writing? I have a presentation incoming week, and I'm around the lookout for such data.

My solution would be a 48-team pfaoylf. The 12conference champions plus 4 additional teams would be given a first-round bye as you see in the NFL. Slots would be allotted by overall conference record, with individual conferences determining who would then play. In the event of a tie, a tie-breaker system such as the NFL uses would be applied. The wild card and first round would be played in late November and early December, with the sweet sixteen going to eight bowl games spaced around New Year s Day The remaining teams would play off in January, perhaps using bowl stadiums ( a second bite at the apple for bowl games, so to speak) until a champion was chosen.

Hi Ellen,

Please check out www.sosdietbook.com by Dr. Jim Surrell. The book and his diet is amazing. (Jim is a super smart and funny guy). On this diet, you do not get sick or light headed, you can eat without counting carbs or calories, you just follow a couple simple rules. Please let me know if you need a book, I have a few more left to give away for special occasions (or I could contact Dr. Jim too!). Thank you for your time! Gina Harman

Just an F.y.i. (fact you ignored).

30% of the body's sugar consumption takes place in the brain, as sugar is the only thing the brain uses for "energy".

Hi Ellen, FYI: regarding your video diary and the lady who said there is no sugar in wine...it is not the sugar content in wine or other spirits, it is the fact that the body processes alcohol the same as sugar and has the same negative results. But you don't have to extract your "sweet tooth" to enjoy sweets. There are many natural sugar substitutes on the market. You have found wonderful replacements for meat, cheese, etc, why not have your chef experiment with "natural" sugar substitutes? Deprivation is unrealistic in my book. P.S. Thank you for encouraging and guiding me with my new life style. I started in November and am now a happy vegetarian. I have lost 40lbs and love love love my new way of eating. Much love...Pj

Hi Ellen!!!

My name is Amanda and I am from Nova Scotia. My boyfriend watches your show everyday and he recently told me about the no sugar diet you are on and I decided to give it a try!! So far, I am doing ok! There are just too many foods I love that include sugar! I am practically drooling when I am in the grocerey store. Hope you are doing better than me, I had to slap myself when I reached for the m&m's.
All the best on the diet and future!
Thanks for being an inspiration to everyone.
-Amanda L.

I recently started reducing sugar following Jorge Cruise's new book "The Belly Fat Cure" and have learned alot. He would be a great guest to have on your show to demonstrate all the good swaps for high sugar foods. I've read that agave nectar is highly processed and has more fructose than high fructose corn syrup (up to 90%)and triggers the same response as sugar. I've learned it's best to stick to a true natural sweetener like Stevia or xylitol. I love the no sugar "bread" products from Food for Life...the Ezekiel products have no flour, sugar or transfats and come in loaf bread, english muffins, tortillas and hamburger and hot dog bun styles. Unsweetened Almond Breeze is also a great substitute for high lactose milk on your cereal and it also makes a great "shake" when mixed with Chocolate Whey Powder (stevia sweetened) and ice in the blender! A great treat for those with a sweet tooth! Jorge's book also has lists of whole foods and their sugar/carb content along with great sources for no sugar foods. He also includes photos of swaps for high sugar foods in all food/grocery categories. I would highly recommend his book as a resource for anyone trying to decrease/eliminate sugar from your diet. He also has a website with great free teaching videos on the subject at JorgeCruise.com. Good luck & good health to everybody! Thanks, Ellen, for drawing the issue to everyone's attention....a great way for us all to lose the belly fat that is so harmful to our overall health. Love your show...you always make me laugh....and that's good for our health too! We'll have to start calling you Ellen M.D.

I can't find the sweet but sugar free button on your website. Could you give me directions to it please? I started the sugar free diet and was looking forward to talking with others about it on Ellen's site - in the hopes this would motivate me to keep going. But I can't find that button. Thank you.

I thought I would try the no suger thing and decided to start yesterday. Ok well, later I was cleaning out purse and with out even thinking I popped a mint in my mouth and a piece of gum 10 mins later I thought "well the no suger thing lasted didn't" not sure I can do it

I would like to try the no sugar thing - but is there a list of things somewhere that shows me what I should cut out? I realize it's things with sugar but are we also talking about complex carbs? Someone point me to a list or a website so I can see more details. I am a sugar addict and would really like to try this

I've searched high and low for a video of Maria Sharapova's visit to Ellen last year. Can anyone help?

Hi Ellen,
The Sugar Challenge. Wow, right there with you. When I heard you announce this, I knew there was no way out. So I am joining you, with the exception of my 4oz of wine daily. I intend to cut back on that too. I am a Weight Watcher leader, it is what I do for a living. So I am telling all my 150 members this week about your decision. I am challenging them to join you, join me in some capacity. We figure if you can do it, and you don't need to loose weight, can too! Love you so much! You are a blast to watch. You put me in such a good mood to start my day!
Love,Michele

Hi, Since that first Day my wife called me to "come watch this", you dancing, almost five years ago till now, we've been fans. I am doing this NO SUGAR thing with you. My MANTRA is going to be "I have sweetness inside me, there is no reason to put more in me". Thank you for reminding me of that Ellen. We both think you're the sweetest! Love Raymond

Ellen, I have come to the conclusion that I have NO will power.. My no sugar adventure has turned out to be a big shovel it in when no one is looking circus... I have decided that maybe I can just pray that my weight will lose me instead of me losing this weight.... I have never been able to keep up with stuff anyways so there is hope that my weight will lose me and not be able to find its way back to my large following..AKA "BUTT".. I see you are doing well with this, I just can't convince myself not to eat it,.. They cant put me in jail if I eat it, It won't kill me, today, My family wont disown me if I eat it, So SEE my problem,.. AUGH.. Okay I LOVE YOUR SOCKS!! Jess

Hi Ellen!

First of all, let me just start off by saying I absolutely love you and your show, but I do have a comment about your show today. Discussing your recent decision to go on a "sugar-free" diet you mentioned that you would like to bring a "nutritionalist" on your show. Although I'm certain everyone knew what you were referring to, as a Registered Dietitian (RD) I would like to just clear up that there is no such thing as a "nutritionalist"...and please remember I write this with much love and respect for you!:)

I would love to help you on your journey, and answer any nutrition relevant questions you may have regarding this diet. I wish you luck...I see nothing wrong and only positive things from trying to stay away from refined/added sugars, although I do believe and teach "everything in moderation". Even if you don't rely on my expertise on this subject, I hope that you seek a RD in the future to answer any of your nutrition-related questions.

Sincerely,
Amber W.

Hi Ellen:
I am a big fan of you and everything you do. I want to coment that 2 years ago I followed a diet program that had no flour and sugar and the protein and vegetables (just one fruit a day) was weighed and measured. I did very well, lost pounds and knew of a lot of people that went off many pills because the healthy food eaten. I never experienced any side effects and it seems a better way to eat than all the othet stuff we all like.

At this time, I am preparing for a radiation treatment after my thyroid surgery and I have to follow a low iodine diet which basically is fruits and vegetables, so I will be one more companion in this journey with you.

I apologize for any wrong spelling as I am from another country currently living in the United States.

Don't worry for the sugar, it is not necessary for our bodies neither for our nutrition and you will feel great!

If you find some good recipes, please share.

Take care and my best wishes..........
Becky

Ellen,
It was so comforting to hear that you are off sugar because I am too. I have been off sugar completely for over 7 months! I do not eat wheat or gluten. Sometimes, it's challenging but as long as I have prepared my meals and have healthy munchies, I'm okay. I follow the "Body Ecology Diet" and have learned that what we consume can affect our health dramatically! The trick for me was to get off sugar completely which took a week and then I was no longer addicted. I still desire sugar sometimes but now I can say no to chocolate because the addiction is gone.
Thank you for sharing
