I can see you’re no fnerid of logic. If I offered talking points, as you put it, then where did I get them? Where else did you see those points made? Put up or shut up.And with regard to my commenters, I never delete comments and many of those nasty comments were in response to perfectly reasonable replies about monetary policy. Yes, I occassionally insult people, but only those I see as stupid.

The Christmas travel plans of thousands of are in disarray after snow left Heathrow Airport all but shut. Thousands have been forced to sleep overnight in airports and there is disruption to road and rail travel with the Met Office warning of more snow ...

Keep posting stuff like this i really like it

Watched your show on Thur and when M. Lopiz was giving out hugs and kisses -- why didn't he give one to the blonde gal who had already donated $1,000.00 to the relief effort?? That would have doubled her money and I think she deserved something.

I, along with some of my co-workers, watched this from the emergency room where I work as it all unfolded and we were all in tears over the committment, the compassion, and the amazing efforts displayed by these men all for this precious dog as he struggled in fear against the rushing water. Words can't express the impact you all made.
Thank you guys and nothing but love for that pup.

Ive got to tell you Ellen this segment was very touching and what these guys did for this dog shows me that compassion still comes shinning through when our fourlegged friends need us.
I am from Canada and do my part in rescueing/fostering animals and the thanks one recieves for this is knowing an animal is no longer in jepordy and finally placed in a loving family enviroment.
thumbs up to these people who put their lives on the line to make a difference. The single gentleman wont be single for too long im sure and if he ever wants to come to Canada for a visit, tell him to look up this single lady, it would be a pleasure to meet him.
Thanks Ellen...your awesome!

Hi Ellen. Thank you for making us laugh. It's my daily therapy after a stressful day at work. I too love helping people, and making a difference daily. I'm an animal lover, and what Mr St George, and the other firefighters did was heroic. If Mr St George is interested in meeting new friends, I would to chat with him. Have a FANTASTIC weekend.

Your show is great, I laugh everyday and share with whomever is in my house at the time. I am single hint hint,,lol.
Thanks for sharing the rescue story , they deserve to be recognized !!!

Happy Birthday , Leasi

Hi Ellen,

When I saw this dog being rescued on TV my first thought was, "I hope Ellen has this rescue crew on her show." Thanks for making my wish come true! It gives me warm fuzzies to know that people will go above and beyond to save a dog's life.

For the firefighters who saved the dog. Amazing, caring and hero's. I was on the edge of my seat watching the rescue.

The firefighter who actually was bit by the frightened dog......I have been married 27 years and the second thought in my mind after, admiration was, "Wow is he handsome." I also checked out his ring finger to see if there was a lucky women in his life!

I love my husband but...................

Thanks Ellen for all you do and Happy Birthday!

The fireman who saved the dog, I would like to be considered as a woman who is very interested in a man with qualities of bravery and devotion. Alone for about ten years now, haven't found the right one, I just thought maybe he might be interested in me. The show was awesome and I so wish that I was American. I am Canadian and it is very expensive to get to the states. I currently live on a fixed income but still looking for work as an accountant. I am outgoing, confident, know what I want in a partner, attractive, average build and all alone with alot of love to give. He may consider it, I can send a photo. Please help me Ellen I don't want to be alone anymore. An admirer, fan, friend, Hugz Melodie

Saw a short clip of the rescue on the news and thought what a wonderful job that guy did,......
I was THRILLED to see that he group of rescuers were Ellen's guest on the show and we were able to see more of them then just the news clip I'd seen earlier.
I agree with you - Ellen, it's FABULOUS to have a show, see something like that rescue on the news and then say "Hey - I wanna meet these guys!" and then get a chance to do just THAT!
Thank you, Ellen, it was great to see/hear these guys in person......after having seen that rescue on the news.
These guys are WONDERFUL people.......doing what the rest of us wish we had the opportunity to do.
I hope that hound finds a great new home with people who care for it and not allow it to get in such a predicament as where he was found.
And - lastly - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, Ellen.
I too celebrated my 30th anniversary of my 21st birthday on the 14th,.......hee hee!

Hi Ellen,
Just watched your interview with those wonderful human beings who rescued that very lucky dog. From here in Perth Western Australia I want to say thank you to you for showing this and to those wonderful men who proved that the human race does have a lot of kindness.
Oh & I can't adopt dog at the moment but a cute big hearted hero would fit in nicely.
May the powers above send these and all the other wonderful rescuers all the good fortune that they deserve.
Thank you.

People are at their best when they do selfless acts of great compassion for others. When we do these Acts for "The Others" of this Earth- those of us observing have our breath briefly taken away. I like to think God needs that breath to give a little giggle cause in that act of reaching out by one of us-We are all, for a moment, on the right track.

As a fellow animal lover, I, like many others, was glued to my television during that dog's ordeal. The rescue was incredible, and the fact that those firefighters put their own saftey on the line, for the life of a dog, was absolutley heartwarming.
I also wanted to applaud you, Ellen, for using your celebrity for good use, and helping to contribute to their cause. If I could hug you I would! It makes me so proud to be a fan of yours.

Hello Ellen,

The guy that rescued the dog shouldn't be worried. He won't be single for long because he has a great heart, and a great personality.

Thank God for people like him.

Thank you,
Jeanne

Hi Ellen,

It brought tears to my eyes to see how those fireman saved that poor little animal and how it was so cool when he said the bite didn't bother him because that's what dogs do when they are afraid. He is an angel for not giving up on that precious animals life. I am a total animal fanactic & have always been. years ago I was leaving a friends house one weekend night at around midnight & for some odd reason I decided to go a diff. route home & as I was driving down the rode I came across a small dog in the middle of the lane that had been hit and unfortually it was dead. I got out and picked it up and moved it out of traffic and made the sign of the cross over it and cried all the way home. The next day I called my friend and told them and said why did I go another way and have to come across that little dog because I can't stop thinking of it. My friend said God made you go that way because he knows your love for animals and he figured someone needed to mourn that little dog. I'm the type that has to let flys out the door. I just can't kill any living creature because I feel they have a place on this earth like we do.

Also, I was excited to see that your flag is hanging on the Willis Bldg. (old Sears Tower). I worked at the Sears tower for 5 yrs until my job let 350 of us go back in 2005. I still have never found a job or have had med. insurance since then. I take care of my mother with alzheimers now 24/7. Which sometimes I think that is why I was meant to lose my job. I wrote you a couple wks ago explaining my story of how hard it is financially for us.

Its so scary because we are living on a very limited amt. of money each month which includes having to get her meds etc. I have had to ask a couple creditors if they would let me forego the monthly payment on a couple bills until we can get on our feet. One let me for one month but said they can't cont. that. Our stove went out on thanksgiving day and I have been trying to cook everything in a toaster oven.

My mother doesn't realize or understand much anymore and it is heartbreaking. I do everything for her, its like taking care of a child now. Its so hard when I try and remember her when I was a child & how strong of a personality she had. You are so lucky to have your mom still be active and be able to come with you to work everyday. I know that can never be again with my mother.

We have about 4 bills that are really worrying me and keeping me up at night. I don't have med. insurance myself and I know this worrying isn;t helping my health at all. I also have high blood pressure and a kidney condition and I just try to watch myself the best I could because I could never bare to put my mother in a nursing home.

Its just her, me and our little cat "Sammy". He's 2 1/2 & was given to me 2 yrs ago by a friend so I at least have someone in the house to talk to. He is a treasure and a god send and he makes you laugh all the time. If I didn't have him I would be crying all the time. Its very isolating because it is just us and I have no one else to help me.

I have your show on each day at 3PM while I'm cooking dinner for my mother and I and you keep me laughing and so entertained. You have a heart of gold and just to see your positive attitude everyday gives me a lift for the hour your on.

Still waiting to see you on American Idol but you haven't been shown yet during the tryouts.

Take care Ellen and keep on dancing & I hope you had a wonderful birthday! Janet

Hai Ellen

Belated Happy Birthday to you, as you said on your show today that that your birthday will celebrate like new year.

This is Sonia, her husband & her 8 months baby like your show very much, everyday we wait for clock to reach on 12.00 because we live in Australia so we can see your programme on Nine at 12.o'clock. Even my baby like your show and when you dance we also dance with you and he enjoyed the way we all dance.

have a nice day Ellen we love you.

WOW! A real live G.I.Joe. Helicopters, high winds, rushing water, saving dogs, war wounds. The all American Hero. I'm impressed! If you get you're own action figure (fireman version) you'll have all the night vision goggles you need. I know single women everywhere will be dreaming of being rescued. I know I will, but I don't bite unless you really want me to.
