I think its great that you help younger mothers with their children. I just wish you could help me a older Mom who was born on Halloween and have a twin Brother but who passed away a short time ago, also my son and I took everything I had to move to a new city after my son who worked for a safeway grocery atore got robbed at gunpoint and now that he quit because of that, he doesn't qualify for unemployment, nada. he can't find a job and we're hurting badly. I need new tires on my car, everytime I get into it to drive I'm scared to death also the front left tire has a nail in it but I can't afford to buy even a used tire or let alone a new tire. I need for once someone to help me. I'm the type that help others all the time, I'll go out of my way to help someone else, All they have to do is ask. Please think about it. I would share it the way you felt fit. I'm not the type who really likes to beg for help. but the time has come. :(

just want thank you for being the great person you are and how many people you make happy,I wish I would once in my life time get that pleasure ,after six children,shopping,wrapping and trying to do the best for them I get burned out and really want nothing for myself only for them and my grand children,I'm just blessed and see how many have nothing.I wish you a Merry christmas and blessing for the following year,you are the meaning of christmas to alot of people,plus losing loved ones at christmas isn't fun,too many sad times from the past,but being 64 now it's about the children. married 45 years,six children and now 6 grandchildren and two on the way is just great,it's just too bad after shoulder surgery,knee replacement,I just can't do what I use to,but I will never give up....

Ellen I LOVE your show, you make me laugh even thru the depression Im going through. My birth mom is sick and I dont think will last much longer. Im turning 50 in Feb(YIKES) and Ive NEVER been married, I feel alone! I also am disabled, I was a medical caregiver all my life and now I cant do it anymore and it hurts me a great deal...and living in a very low income housing makes me feel like society has forgotten me and others like me..Also Ive NEVER had a vacation..anyways PLEASE come to Seattle and bring Portia, celebrate my birthday with me It would be WONDERFUL and life changing for me...Love Ya Girl
I miss my Mother so much all year and especially on the holidays. Mom passed 18 months ago. She was 90 years old. I watched over my Mother since I was 15 years old. My father divorced her for another woman. My mother had no education..4 th grade so she had to work in a factory making drapes, in Cincinnati. She had 4 children to finish raising. Mom was old school. She immediately found another man to take care of her (and her children). I wasn't happy watching my Mother degrade herself and marry for all the wrong reasons. So, I started watching over her, she became my child. Roles reversed. I became very protective at a very young age.
My advise to many young women today, don't marry someone for money, you can support yourself and be proud of yourself. I did. Mom was proud too. Oh, anyway, just miss my Mom, and I wanted you to know that I like your honesty, you are a real woman. Thanks for being you and happy holidays. Patty
