Hi Ellen I've been collecting pennies for the past fifteen years in a 5 gallon water jug. It is now pretty close to being full and I've been trying to figure out what to do with it. The only thing I know for sure is that I would like to use it for charities. I understand that this is not a great amount of money, I'm thinking in the 5 to 6 hundred amount but if we could do something together with it, like try to sell raffle tickets to try and guess the amount. The prize could be the amount in the jug and two tickets to your show. We could decide on the charities later. I would like to help homeless families. You have the biggest audience and this would be a fun way for people to give and yet try to win something for themselves. I can't think of anyone who doesn't want to be in your audience.

Ellen, i am writting this letter with both excitment yet alittle reservation. I am a born again christian,that loves The Lord very much and know He has told us to love everyone so why people who say they love The Lord have no right to be mean to anyone.IGNORANCE CAUSES FEAR. I watch your show everyday. I just moved from a very small town in ohio,to Alanta Ga. Idon't know anyone except my husband so i rely on you for my laughs and entertainment. I only know how to get to3 different towns so far, I lost my job before moving here so we only have one income and living here isn't cheep. I am not asking you for any help,I am just asking you to continue what you do to make me laugh and know i love you and Portia and I know i don't know her but for her to choose you she has to be great like you. I love your show and have looked forward to it i dont know how long. ellen the reason i am writing to you is to let you know i lost my "daughter" my dog. "cassie dog" she was almost a year and a half old. she got hit and it killed her!! :( i sent you a pic of her and me and my husband and we got married on halloween 2 yrs ago. we are in make up and things but the dog is not and i dont ever think i ever felt so empty in my life!! she went every where with us and slep on top of our heads on the pillows :) i never knew i could miss her as much as i do. :( i knew it would be a hard hit if any thing would happen but i did not think this bad :( she was a chessapecke lab and i loved her more than any thing!! could you please type something back to me ????? i miss her !!!!!!!!!! can anything help me let go of this pain ?? love Billie
