I have the same question as the last person??? Canadians LOVE ELLEN TOO!!! We want to be able to enter as well!!
Love Ya Ellen!!!

I am a dedicated part of your viewing audience from Canada and I'm wondering why we can't enter the 12 Day Give Away :(

I love it it's funny but I really think there will be times that Howie would love to have it. I love Howie and Ellen. Ellen I think you have really great guest on your shows.

Why can't you enter for the daily giveaways unless you join "birddi" which is the Hispanic version of "twitter"? Also if there are two giveaways and you enter for one of them, you can't enter for the other one? It tells you that you already entered once for that day.

Hello Howie,

I have to agree with Rosemary. Not many people tell others that they have any type of mental disorders. Many, many people do not even begin to understand mental illness.

I once met an individual that had never heard of manic depression (bi-polar disorder). When he met me he commented "I don't think I've ever met anyone with as many messed-up friends as you have. You really need to get away from them." Needless to say, he and I are no longer together and I still have all of my disfunctional friends.

Those friends are the best friends I think I've ever had. Not only do they know what it's like to be picked on, they know how to pick someone else up that's down. I belive that is what you do. You take your disposition, and turn it into opportunity. Opportunity to get others to understand.

My children and I have watched one movie in particular that really drove home to them what real friendship is about. It's not about where your from, how you dress, or how you're brought up. It's about protecting, giving, and recieving the same in return. The movie I'm referring to is "Little Monsters".

Thank you again for all you have given to this world. I wish you and yours all the happiness life can offer. Many others wish for a cure, in the meantime, I wish you to continue dealing with your circumstances with a positive attitude and passing on to so many others.

Bless you always,

Catherine Barber

i love u!! u are my role model!

Dont change or be scared it makes you you and alot of people love you and care for you god bless

I would give him a cure if I could. I have been one of his greatest fans. He has made me laugh for many many years. I remember taking my niece to see him quite a few years ago in Atlantic City, New Jersey for her birthday, she had just turned 21 years old. We sat in the first row which was wonderful, we laugh through out his entire show and she became a fan of his also and like me continues to be.
Since I do not have this problem to deal with or can I even begin to understand it, it makes my own problems seem so little. The best to him.

I look further to reading his book.

Dear Howie,

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for writing your book, sharing your lifelong struggle with OCD. You're a brave man but most importantly you have empathy, compassion for all of those who suffer quietly alone with mental health issues. God gave you the gift of laughter & God may have had a plan all along for you to use that gift to help not only yourself but others. A mental health disorder is very real-with physical symptoms. Medications to control it are almost always prescribed. If you were to say you had diabetes or high blood pressure, most people wouldn't have a problem understanding that. To talk about a mental health problem is "TABOO" because we're not the "norm" of society. I know because I've suffered from anxiety/depression & some OCD. I know it's made me extremely sensitive, empathetic and compassionate to people who don't fit the "norm" & are laughed at, ridiculed. I was told my anxiety/depression was a combination of genetics, environment(abusive family life). All I know is when I was 32yrs old I got up one morning and felt really strange, body fatiqued(like the flu), really felt physically sick, the next thing I knew my heart was pounding really fast,140 beats per min, breathing problem, chest tightness-I was so dizzy when I stood up, I thought I was having a heart attack. Paramedic's were called and my life turned upside down.

ANXIETY, PANIC DEPRESSION CYCLE...DEFINITION-
very real physical feelings, felt with every nerve of your body, fight or flight response...(to a "normal" person (they bounce back to feel themselves again)ie..afraid of height, driving a car, afraid of public speaking, running from an attacker however, from a person, such as me with generalized anxiety/panic, I have 1st hand experience with these symtoms can last- from hours to days, weeks...depending on the stress level.....racing heart, feeling weak, faint or dizzy, tingling or numbness in hands, sense of terror of impending doom or death, sweating or havine chlls, chest pains, breathing difficulties, feeling loss of control, loss of appetite, loss of interest, sleeping to much or not enough, unable to put sentences and trains of thoughts together, fatigue without reason, suicidal thoughts...I've had all of these over the years..fun uh? "But you look so normal"?

On another subject along what I've said is the way we treat our "Homeless" people; You know I adore animals..but..somethings wrong with a society when we look away from a homeless person on the street, treat them like a derelict, drunk...yea..they could be a con...but what if they've had a mental illness, serious one(desperately need help, medication so they can function)but have no family who cares...I KNOW THIS CHRISTMAS I'M GOING TO GIVE to the cause AND PASS OUT BLANKETS TO THEM.

HOWIE, LOVE YA, AND HOPE YOUR BOOK WILL HELP MILLIONS OF PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT SUFFER ALONE & IN SILENCE. ALSO, MAKE PEOPLE UNDERSTAND IT.

SINCERELY,
ROSEMARY KOES

It looks like she had a great time making fun of Howie's problem. I'd like to see how she would react to people making fun of her on TV for her disorder.
