Hi Ellen!

I love your show!!! You have the most fun, exciting and wonderful show ever. I came to know your show on youtube when you invited Charisse Pempengco to sing in your show. I'm more happy now that I can watch your show everyday since I got here in the U.S. last July 2009. You are amazing! You give hope and happiness to people who are in need.
I came up with this letter when I realize that you can help me and my husband on our dream wedding. We were hoping to have our church wedding this March. Everything was doing great but when my husband went to work on the overseas, he realized that he missed me so much and can't work anymore being so far away from each other. We decided to postpone the wedding since he needed to find a job on land. Right now, both of us are still finding a job and hoping to work out on this big chance in our lives. I am looking forward and more power on your show!!!

Love,
Mharie

HMKFGM,VGF VNHM,

Ellen I love your show and recently saw the episode that you helped that family with 25,000 dollars to get caught up on bills. As impressive as that was I was more impressed with you telling them not to give up. Always believe that things will work out. Never lose hope. I am 52 years old and attending UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX online. I am working towards an associates degree in Psychology. My goal is to work with children's services and the Foster care system. It is my passion to help with kids. I raised my two children and then helped to raise my two grandchildren as my daughters husband died of brain tumors. By the time my grandson is starting school I should be graduating and ready to find a job at the bottom level of my field, as I realize I will need two more years to achieve a higher degree. It is also my dream to be a foster parent. We have a big home that I rent since we lost our home a year ago, and there is plenty of room here. My son is in his third year of college and is only home on breaks and I have a spare room as well. Also we are going to finish the lower level of the house which will give us even more room. I hope to offer a safe and loving home for families that are having issues to resolve. I have to clean up our financial stability before I can pursue that goal. My husband of 10 years is a very talented and skilled, intelligent man that was a carpenter most of his life. He cannot make it as the work is so seasonal. He is from the south and moved here with me , in Ohio so that I could be closer to my family. He tried driving semi-trucks but it left him away from family too much. My mom has lung cancer and I am helping to take care of her and see her through this illness. Also I watch my grandchildren while my daughter works. I have tried to work but it is impossible to work around all these commitments. I had to decide where my priorities really are. No amount of money in the world can make up for the loss of time spent with my mother. I cherish whatever time we have left together and intend to spend all that I can with her. Sometimes it is easy to give up. to lose hope. In my psychology class we learned about positive thinking and hope. Financially I am scared to death as we are in so deep. But deep down I know that I am doing the right thing. It renewed my hope seeing that there are still good people like you in the world doing what they can to help others. I have been blessed with fantastic friends and an amazing family that make all the struggles worthwhile. Thanks for giving us all a reason to believe that there is always hope.

I know you help so many people . I'm not sure how you decide who is worthy enough. So I hope you atlest read my letter. My husband has had 2 organ transplants one that he rejected. I also have kidney disease like he does, and are on a fixed income. The credit card bills are piling up from having to use tham to buy groceriesand medicine. The medicine that he takes each day totals 20 and adds up so fast each month. Our daughter has tried to help us with the 10,000.00 in debt we have on our cards and the personal loan that we had to get to try and pay of some of our medical bills. We have never owned a house and have a car that is 2 months behind. I magine that next month they will take it back since we can't pay it. That's 500.00 . Our daughter works and goes to school majoring in animal science so she can become a vet one day. That is if she doesn't have to keep helping us. Megan our daughter is so giving and I feel bad that she is doing this at 20 years old indtead of having her own life. I wish we could help her with her tuition of 1300.00 each quarter but she is having to try and drop classes when she has to helpo us , so she can afford to do both. My husband has no feeling in his hands or feet due to a local hospital crippling him by sending his blood sugar up to 876. He spent time in a coma. It never seems to get any better. I have lost faith in the system for hel. I feel like a failure not being able to take care of ourselves. Please let me know if you can help us . I know you have ways to find a solution to things even when it looks like there isn't any. Thanks and have a happy new year. Mary taylor

Ellen on my days off I try to watch your show!I work in retail so this is sometimes hard to do. Your show is always such a uplift...I know there are times that are sad too. You make me laugh laugh, think about my life and other lives. This past year I put myself in a not so good place. There are 3 people that had only know me less than 3 months that were such a blessing in my life! They all three deserve to have a special day....They all live in Fresno CA and Iam back home in okla w my family and most handsome grandson. If you send them to one of your shows and just let them know that someone out here thinks and know they are very special people that they showed me how to "pay it forward"

Dear Ellen-
I am writing to you to ask for your help. We have some friends that lost there 2 year old to a rare heart defect this past April. There loss was unexpected and devastating to this family. They in return for all of the wonderful care that the hospital gave there daughter Nevaeh are trying to raise quite a bit of money to build a Play room of hope at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin ..a room for the siblings of sick kiddos to go to while the parents are trying to take care of the one child that needs special attention . They are a special family to me personally because you see I have a daughter with the same heart defect called Hypo-plastic left heart syndrome. They were there for us when we had no one else who understood. This family deserves so much..Please help me give them a great new year..especially now that they will not have there baby girl with them in 2010! They also have 3 other children at home that are having a rough time with losing there baby sister. Please think about this thank you so very much Ellen..love your show!!!!

Dear Ellen:
I am a huge fan of yours and just tear up each time I see how much you are helping families who are having hard times. I would like to ask for your help for my best friend Sharon and her family. I have been trying to help them the best I can but I know it's just not enough. I have purchased groceries for them so they have food on the table and cut her hair as they have no monies. Her husband had his own siding business and with the economy so bad, he had to close up his business and find work. He went to traffic controller school and got a good job with a local union. Things were looking up for them, but then they got layed off. He was 11 working hours short so didn't qualify for unemployment, so they have no income. He has been looking for work but hasn't been able to find any. They are at the point where they can't make their house payments, pay bills or buy groceries. There were no presents under the tree for the kids (2) - as a matter of fact, there was no tree. I know you have millions of people writing you, but I have to try and get them some kind of help. Please Ellen, help this family. They are so thoughtful and kind to everyone and really deserve the help. Thank you for your consideration. Loretta

Dear Ellen,
I'm glad you are helping others around the world in need. There should be more people like you in this world today. It's great how you are inspiring people. I hope to inspire and encourage people also when I am a nurse. It becomes very hard with looking for grants and money with the economic struggles everyone has, but you are giving people hope which is very important and I look up to you for that. Happy New Years to you and your family, and also to all your fans and viewers too! :)

Dear Ellen,
Im writing this on behalf of my grandma Mary. Her, my aunt peggy and uncle mike all live in a smaller two story house which is nearly falling in. they have troubles taking baths in their own house, because the bath tub is falling in. her roof leaks in like 5 or 6 different places, my grandma has leukemia and just got a total hip replacement. she has no income other than her little amount of social security. my aunt peggy has had a heart attack and 4 or 5 strokes and also has lupis, she works 2 or 3 days a week cleaning the rest areas around our area. she has no insurance. my uncle mike has bi-polar and manic depressant, he also gets a little social security check. he has a son, who lives with his mom miles away from him, his mother is pretty much useless, the last time we were down there which was a week ago she had eggs and beer in her fridge. mike trys to do his best and provide for his son but its hard on barely any income. as i go over to my grandmas it stinks of dog and cat pee. my grandma lives in a place that should be tore down, its that bad. its depressing going over ther grandma doesnt do anything she cant all she does is sit there and watch her favorite tv show. shes too sick to do anything else. they rely on me and my mom to take them to the store and places. they may have two cars in the drive but one of them doesnt work at all the other only works when it wants to. since my grandpa passed away 13 years ago its been very hard for grandma aunt peggy and uncle mike.. its been very hard. all i want is for my grandma to live the rest of her life happy and wealty. ellen im not trying to seem desperate but my grandma really could use your help.. We love you ellen.
love, lindsay lamb

ellen, I have hesitated sending a letter. Kind of like I am not worthy. But this request is for my Daughter, Gina & her Husband Brian. There are parents of three children, Patrick, Hanna & Madeline. Gina was a stay at home mother. In 2006 Brian had chosen to quit his work at Kraft, Nabisco, & go into business with his friend Dean Reeves. English & Reeves costom Cabinets. They were doing so well. They lost a payment from a sub-contracter for $5000.00. Gina asked me for $5000.00 I had received an heinterance when my mother passed, so I was able to do this. Brian & Dean have had to get rid of their shop, too much expense & not enough encome. Gina went to work for the usps. I am still working, but I have been cut down to three days a week. 7-1-09 I gave gina & brian another $5000.00 In 8- 09 I am now on social security. Brian & Gina are good people & good parents. Can you Help them,
Camille Harding
