Hello Ellen,

There should be more people like you in the world! You make people laugh, you make them cry tears of joy and you change their lives for the better. You are so generous. I suppose that is why the word "generous" is in your name.
My daughter is 12 years old and would love to meet you one day. She tapes your show on weekdays when she is at school. You look like you have such a great time with what you do. I too would love to meet you not because of how famous you are but because of how wonderful a person you obviously are.We live in Sydney Australia. Do you have plans to tape a show in australia? We would love to be there. Keep up the great work.I look forward to meeting you.

dear ellen my mom passed away in 2005 and since then life has been tough for us in every way especially financially.and i and my family really need help both i know since we leave in africa to be precise nigeria(portharcourt)helping us will be difficult but i want u to know that i love your show and you are a wonderful and a fantastic person .have a nice day

Dear Ellen
I never thought that I would be writeing to you like this, but here goes. I am one of the underemployed. I am thrilled to have a job even though it pays 7.25 per hour. I work 3 to 4 hours a day, 5 if I'm lucky. I was forced to take early Social Security, which is only 614.00 a month. I have been a waitress for 30 years and raised three children alone.
Why I am writeing is because last summer, both of our dogs came down with Parvo. Chico is a Chiwawa?
He got sick first, I noticed some foamy throw up, I called the vet and they told me to bring him immediately, When I walked in with him, I was holding him like a baby and his little head was just hanging down by my elbow. The nurse commited that he was sicker than she thought. Chico belongs to my son, but he can't have him in his apartment, so I keep him. I called him and he met me at the vet. I know that he was struggling with the cost. I told him that I couldn't let him die.
Well, he was in the hospital 5 days. I visited him twice daily. He finally got over the parvo but he wasn't eating. I found myself lying in his cage with him crying, trying to get him to eat.
When I got home, Lucy, a Wire Haired Terrier, was vomiting,I ran her up there immediately. Yep, she had it too. I took Chico home and had to force feed him for a week and force the meds down him, then I took Lucy home and had to have help comming in at least three times a day to help me with Lucy. She was too big for me to handle alone.
The doctor told me that they couldn't do anything else for them because they wouldn't eat at the hospital. Well, we ended up with a bill of nearly 2000 dollars.
Ellen, both of these dogs are rescue dogs and I love them as I do my children. The dogs have recovered, THANK GOD. I paid what I could and my son is struggling to pay the rest. We owe about 900 dollars. I am asking if you can help with the bill so that my son won't be so stressed. He is very glad as I am that we let the doctors save them. I guess that I'm an animal lover and didn't know it. I couldn't let my children have pets when they were small because I couldn't have gotten them well if they got sick. Thank you for reading this and it would mean the world if you could help us.
Janice

cant wait to buy my first oprah mag!!! just for you!

hey ellen I love your show. You are an amazing entertainer. Would you please one day do a show in Australia because i would love that. Ellen i am 12 years old turning 13 in december this year and i am an actor through a company called NIDA. i love to act, I really want to be on Disney channel one day but I cant because Disney channel auditions are only in the U.S and cant go to America because of my family issues such as my parents have work. Although my parents would love to go to America to they cant because there is to much to do at home caring for me and my older sister and younger brother. So I am wishing you get this comment and read it and maybe you could do something to help.

Dear Ellen,

Thank you for your wonderful sense of humor and for being such a caring and compassionate person. I am a Hospice nurse who cares for the dying on a daily basis, dealing with life changing events , addressing issues at the end of life. I just wanted to thank you because ONE THING I KNOW FOR SURE is when I come home at the end of the day and I sit down to unwind and escape the sadness that I deal with daily, I will laugh before I go to bed because your show makes me laugh. You are terrific. Thank You again for making me laugh when I so desperately need too.

Sincerely,
DebbieG

Ellen,
You make me want to be a better person, all of the nice things that u do for people is just amazing. My husband and i always watch your show together its the one hour a day we know for sure we can be with each other. He is a fulltime student and i work full time as an Esthetician. The episode that u did last year when u were giving people facials in Flordia cracked me up. I wish I could sometimes do some of that :) I keep telling my husband we need to make a trip out see your show.

Hope to see u in person someday
Your biggest fan

I love how much fun you get when you scare people. My grandson and I used to scare each other and then score them... from one to ten...
once he laid on the chairs under my daughters dining room table and waited for me to walk by so he could reach out and grab me.... it was a 10
My daughter mades us quit as i was nearing 60 and she was afraid i might have a heart attack....
but I really miss the screams....so I must live through you

Ellen,

I am not a person who gives up but, I am at that point. It all started about 4 years agao. My Husband was working for car dealership, and one day he found out the company sold out every one lost there job. He went to work for another company everything going good, that company sold out. he was not down for long. Started another job working for a semi dealer ship, well lets just say the owner had a problem bounced pay roll checks. thats when problems started. he is beating his head against the wall but he did not give up. Went to school for welding graduated with the certificate. Could not find a job in that field. Went back to school a upgraded his CDl. He went to work as a over the road truck driver, for a small company they also bounced his pay checks, and stranded him in Kansas for 2 weeks with no pay. no way home by this time the house is behind every thing is behind. We had some good friends who helped him get a bus ticket and we got him home. they would not pay him the money they owed him (never did)! buy this time he was working a second job as a mechenic he has 20 years exp and, he tried to start his own business. But the place were he worked the gentlemen said he did not have the $ to pay him or some excuse, he has not recieved a paycheck in over six weeks. So he had to give up his dream, of owing his own business the way the ecomny is we are close to loosing our home disconnecton notices. I do not think we willl recover we have a 11 year old daughter who never ask for nothing. I work a full time job but, does not cover everything. Ellen my husband and I are so stressed out. He has not given up but, some days I am ready. We have had 4 years of hardship one after another then 3 years agao my wallet was stolen out of my purse at the grocery, lost all of out money that we had, put us behind even further. I am spinning my wheels tring to be strong for my husband and daughter, I want to get a part time job but, my husband wants me home in the evenings since he is on the road. Our home phone is disconnected, unitl he gets his first pay ck from the new company. I have to decied where to put the money there is never enough to go around. Now we found out we have termights in the house and we need to do alot of repairs that is needed. And now Christmas is aroung the corner, and with everthing that has gone on the depression is starting to set in. I normally help people loans support groceries when they were down. but now when we need help no one is there. Ellen I do not what to do. I pray everday for the strength to continue but, it is getting more difficult. My husband is a very hard worker and a proud man I want to help him more but I don't know how. I want him to come home to a home. but I do not know. We have just fallen to bad because of others decisions that directly effect others.
I have never wrote to anyone like this but, I do not know where to turn.
I watch your show ever chance I get you are a great person with a heart this world needs more like you.

Everyday I see how big your heart is and could only hope that anyone with the means has at least one tenth of your generosity. Keep up the good work. I trust you will continue to change peoples lives and wanted you to know you can change the world- one dance at a time. Your path to heaven is paved in gold.

Best regards,

Hey Ellen, Watched you on your sitcom, and have watched you since we started receiving your show. You are the greatest! My husband and I have been therapeutic foster parents for over 20 years.
I truly believe that the challenges that you have had are very similar to the challenges that our boys have had. Their issues may have been different(some), but when you see them succeed, its wonderful. When someone puts them down, I tell them,"look how Ellen was put down, and now look, she is on top and is helping others."Thumbs up to you Ellen, keep up the good work!!!

i am 54 yrs. old and had a stroke last february and since then have watched your show practically every day. i love your show its my favorite show on tv. i love the way you help others out. keep up the good work. i can tell you do it out of love and not to get recognition
