It's been quite a week! On Friday, Robert Pattinson was here. I wasn't sure if I'd even have a chance to talk to him, because the audience was so excited. But they finally calmed down (or maybe they just passed out) long enough for us to chat -- and I think he's a really interesting guy.
Earlier in the week, another "New Moon" star, Kellan Lutz, stopped by and did a couple of push-ups. And by push-ups, I mean the craziest push-ups I've ever seen in my life. I had no idea that he and I had the same fitness routine.
And, here's something you won't see on the show. We scared one of our executive producers, Andy, during rehearsal. We've done it before. And, an audience member has done it, too. Last year, Andy tried to scare me, but it didn't work. Honestly, with him, it's almost too easy.
Next week is Thanksgiving, and I'm thankful, first and foremost, for my viewers. I wouldn't be here without you. And I wouldn't want to be.
I'm also thankful that we're gonna have some great guests on the show. Two of Hollywood's most talented ladies, Sandra Bullock and Penelope Cruz, are stopping by. Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga are gonna be performing. Lady Gaga will be wearing something crazy. (I'm just guessing about what she'll be wearing. But it's an educated guess.) And, wait 'til you see the 7-year-old Ping-Pong prodigy -- who I guarantee you'll be talking about the next day.
Enjoy your weekend, and I'll see you next week!
Ellen

Dear Ellen and staff,
Yesterday, I found out that my unemployment is running out as of December 11th. I am hosting Thanksgiving at my hone this year. I am a nurse and have been unemployed now for 1 1/2 years. I was terminated from my last job, "due to disability." I havee chronic back pain and have been looking for work. I was supposed to get benefits till April 30, 2011. Because of Congress this will not happen.
Besides all of this, I am not bitter..I will survive. I am very thank-ful for my 16 year old daughter, Morgan. She is a wonderful daughter and she is beautiful...she lights up my life. If I lose my home and material things...it doesn't matter, they cannot take away the love between a mother and daughter. I am a single parent and always have been. I have wonderful parents and good friends. Happy Thanksgiving Ellen, I love your show and hope to be able to see it live someday. I really would love to go with you to Orlando for your spring break show, it looks like a blast. Love you. Kim
