He auditioned for the starring role on "House." He didn't get it, but soon after was cast in a
different role as a doctor.

cancer research and treatment.

I have been a fan of yours since I saw you on a cable channel about maybe more than 15 years ago doing your stand-up act!!! I have loved you since then!
My daughter, who is 13 also enjoys you and watches your show with me everynight (we DVR it because of work and school). Anyway, I wanted to surprise my daughter with a trip to your show in April during her spring break from school but just found out that I can't because it states that she has to be 14. She will be 14 in June and I won't be able to take her then because I will be back at work by that time. I will be out on disability from January until at least the end of April. Also, for some reason I can't get into your April calendar because it is not highlighted to view that calendar. Can you help me please?? I think this would be awesome early birthday present for her!!

You rock! My little sister (she's 27) and I love you. She can't watch you as much because she's a children and youth social worker. So when there's a super good show on I'll call her and tell her about it. She has Cystic Fibrosis so when she's home or in the hospital she watches a lot. We love you because you have a positive attitude towards life and you love to dance. I'm a cancer survivor and as I've mentioned she has Cystic Fibrosis. She has had to fight for her life since she was an infant. I had it easy I only had an instance. Although I almost lost it. We lost our mother to breast cancer. It is the pain we carry with us to this day. But we all love to dance. The whole family. Get us together and play music and we are a force to be reckoned with! With the exception of my sister Sheri, she can't wiggle! Anyhow, Ellen, Buffy and I love you. Wish you could help her some way she works so hard, it's a miracle that she has lived this long. She insists on not going on "the system"

I wanted to tell you that you are GREAT!!!!! When ever I am having a bad day all I have to do is turn your show on and my day is all better now. You can always seem to put a smile on my face..I try to watch your show everyday but I have 3 kids and is hard with their schedules. I dont have tivo so cant record..but anyways i wanted you to know you are doing a great job and keep up the great work

Dear Ellen, I just love your show no matter how difficult life is getting for everyone you still seem to put a smile on alot of peoples faces, including mine... I record your show because i do not get to sit and watch it till about 8pm or after, but its sooo worth it...

I am so upset right now! I was as usual watching the show this morning and saw that 20 lucky viewers had a chance to win a Sony Playstation3. Being a single mom with teenage boys I thought wow that would be great to win and save for Christmas. This is a gift I really could not afford on my own. So imagine my disappointment when I came to enter the draw and realized that it is only available for US residents. :(

I just wanted to say that you are the light at the end of the tunnel! You are the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! You have a true talent for spreading smiles on everyone's face and bringing joy to people's hearts...as far as Im concerned...if you took away anything from this life, know that you have done wonderful things in our time of gloom otherwise known as a recession. I pray that everyone is able to keep their cable so they can either watch you everyday or DVR your show so that they too can have some sunshine for at least an hour a day. You are an inspriration!
