I feel sorry for any woman that feels she needs to dress that way just to keep attention on herself. Mariah Carey is pathetic. Let it go! You are not 21 anymore. Try aging with grace. You can still look sexy without all that popping out of your dress going on. Look at women like Celine Dion who don't need to get all that negative attention in order to be the best. Get over yourself Mariah!
Why does Mariah Carey bother to wear clothes at all???!!! I think her choice of tacky attire defines her more than her vocal abilities. Very sad.

Mariah Carey has the guts to show what she believes is sexy and alluring for her. She should be proud of the way she looks and feels, her look is cute and the garters are wonderfully sexy. She is a true DIVA. Keep smiling Mariah!!!
I'm not quite sure why anyone likes Mariah Carey? She has absolutely not one ounce of anything to offer anyone except an okay song on an album here or there. She's gross.
ok I feel Jonathan Foer did a wonderful job! There are so many things that are covered up that the public is so unaware of! For instance vaccines that are damaging our kids everyday and and becoming autistic! I believe what he has to say is VERY IMPORTANT and can't wait to read his book! oh another note..... Mariah Carey.... oh gosh can not believe she had the guts to dress liket hat! WOW!
I am in New Zealand and just catching up on your shows. I just watched the one about the farming and all I could think was doesn't America know about free range eggs and organic farming, do you not have that? I'm just about to eat mini hasbrowns, beef and eggs. My eggs are free range as are half the eggs sold in supermarkets here, the beef is actually from my parents who have a couple of cows that they raise to eat but here in NZ I would feel fine eating the beef as lucky for us both our cows and sheep do spend all day in the fields (it's at the end of their life and what they are fed that are still of concern). Pigs and chickens are the ones that we in NZ are trying to change and make the industry change. But I now can by free range pork, ham and bacon (which have the SPCA approval). And I noticed in the supermarket the other day organic chicken so yay I can have roast chicken again.
I just thought that America would be ahead of everyone else in this area and I would think that there you do have a large organic and free range industry in farming. Maybe you could give them a voice on your show too. From what your guest was saying it gave the impression that ALL your farming was bad and you don't get to go to your supermarkets and have a choice to buy free range or organic like we do. If that is the case then yes, everyone in America should give up eggs and eating meat or hey, buy NZ lamb and beef and eggs (no, I don't work for meat industry LOL!). Okay, gotta go and grill my beff schnitzel and cook the eggs!

I happen to catch the part of your show with Mariah Carey on. Love her voice, but what a dissappointment. From the neck up she was great, from the neck down, not even note worthy. She was disgusting in her attire. Young girls are going to be looking to people like her for an example and what does she show for it? She shows everything, her huge bust (which is way too big and just irrevolting to look at) and her dress, showing that it was way to tight and she couldn't even stand up properly and her nylon stockings were showing how they were held up! Oh, my Gosh, how appalling is that! Young women in society do look to some of these so called "stars" for example. What kind of character message is Mariah sending to all these young people who are so influencial by people in society like her. We need people, like you Ellen, who dress appropriately and send a decent message out. Mariah was just plain disgusting to watch. Sorry. But that's my opinion.

I record your show everyday it airs on my DVR and watch late at nite after I get home from classes. I'm a little disappointed in all the attacks and comments Mariah Carey recieved after being on your show. I feel she was just being her and you just have to love her. She looked great! I love Mariah Carey, she is a breath of fresh air as is you. Your show is always entertaining and I love and appreciate you. I literally jumped off up the sofa, tripped over my psychology book, (I'm ok, lol) and ran to the computer to enter your ticket giveaway to her concert in Madison Square Garden. I've watched your show for many years and like the content you bring to your audience. But..
I was very disappointed with Mr.Safran Foer's "story on Factory farming". Unfortunately he told a very misinformed story, it may help him sell books or make people listen because this is such a "negative view" and does not represent the realities of farming in this nation. He certainly does not understand the "green collar" farming community. The green Collar workers of this nations feed the world, these farmers are stuards of the land who work hard to ensure that they provide their family and neighbors families with a nourishing and healthy product that was raised in a healthy and productive environment.
In my opinion this gentlemen has not travelled the country side to find good news story from factual sources to make him understand farming best practices. Most farming operations have biosecurity protocols for visitors to ensure they have clean shoes and so on but most farming operations i know would be pleased to have people tour the facilities, tour the fields, look at water quality best practices and ask questions and air concerns. The Farming community in general, those green collar works take pride in feeding the world and taking care of precious resources such as soil, water and animals. Ellen I still like your show and what you do but I ask that you ensure your guests don't spread false statements or half truth to what they present. There are two sides to this story one (Mr.Safran Foer's is severly negative and misinformed and the other "the majority of farmers" is a really "good story" that is a win-win for the environment and those who work with it) Thank you for your time.

Mariah Carey was very good with the shock value. Too bad she was allowed to impose her low standards on your show. I would have thought your producers would have put a limit on how low can you go. It was a bad reflection on the show and such bad taste allowed on day-time TV for all our young viewers.
The interview with Jonathan Safran was interesting. For people who are concerned with the impact of factory farming, etc. who do want to continue to eat meat, there are responsible alternatives. There are organic and "beyond organic" farmers who raise grass fed beef, chickens, etc. Eating beef, pork, chicken and eggs from these farms can be healthy, ethically responsible, and address the environmental concerns Mr. Safran raises.
The Omnivore's Dilema is an excellent read and Michael Pollan would be a great person to interview as well.

Just a note to express my disappointment in Maraiah Carey yesterday on your show. I thought her attire was completely inappropriate for the occasion. Up until yesterday, I had another image of Mariah, that she managed to throw out the window with her shallow, tacky, tasteless comments and behavior on your show, which was made worse by the reference she made of herself as being "hardest working b_______" in the business. Classic case of beautiful, until you open your mouth.
what a downer!!!! why would have that moron on your show talking about eating animals this close to the holiday season when people are trying to feel positive about everything that is going on and hoping for a nice holiday meal with family. If you choose to eat that way, fine, but do not inflict your views on american just because you can. I feel sorry for that idiots wife. she is in for a life of unhappiness and controlling behavior.
