I am trying to connect with Ellen who is a huge animal lover as am I. "Bloat" just took my "Kayla" and I never hear of it. Second largest killer of large breed dogs in the US. This needs nationwide awareness. I am dedicating my "Kayla's Cause" to "Pilot's for Paws" wherein local air strips can get the tubed dogs to Cornell before they expire. This condition kills in as little as 1/2 hour unless the animal gets to a vet who can then tube them and knock them out for transport to the pilots getting them to the life saving surgery. No one has ever heard of "Bloat"...ask your friends or even your doctor's and they look puzzled. Please help with nationwide awareness of the symptoms. If caught in time they have a chance. If not...they die a terrible death with helpless owners looking on.
